One thing I have struggled with during engineering school is constantly comparing myself to others, it’s important to believe in yourself and keep going!
I think videos explaining basic mechanical components and how they work together is a great idea. I really struggled with that in the beginning. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I am also practicing my english with your videos, regards from Brazil :)
I my first year Mech Eng studies [ 1954-55 ] we had two descriptive courses which were essential for the former schoolboys we were. [ YES - all of us were male ] " Machine Tools and Workshop processes ", and " Descriptive Mechanical Engineering ". In addition it was a requirement to spend a minimum of six weeks each summer working for an engineering company. To do this, general cooperation of industry was necessary, and British industry did fully cooperate since they understood that there was a constant need to train us. This tradition sadly had not yet been accepted in North America, and they relied mainly on immigrants for their supply of trained engineers.
I began my own studies in mechanical engineering in 1954, after a British education going back 14 years. By way of contrast, I thought you might be interested to know of my own skill set, and what information was available in the public domain. I had academic training in Math, Physics and Chemistry, and also a rudimentary knowledge of German. I had also learned wood working while at school, and in my final year actually constructed several pieces which were later used by the Physics department for experiment and demonstration. Electronic computers were almost unknown, and writing programs for algorithms was an art which at that time was extremely rare. My only source of general information was the local library, which contained only printed material. The means of calculation were logarithm tables, and various other numerical tables, with all calculations done with pen and paper. Slide rules were in wide use for approximate calculation. Mechanical calculating machines were in very short supply. The terms " search engine " or " expert system " or " AI " would not have been understood. Yet with only those limited means available we managed to muddle through and produce many innovations. I think this may be an indication that personal ability to analyse, innovate, be creative and to work hard are needed before one can make proper use of the sources of information.
Love these kinds of videos!!! As a new engineering student who starts in the fall, these advice videos for new engineers are the best thing ever!! Please make more! Also, would love to see the car transmission/parts video!
Please make an introductory Book recommendation series for each of the Engineering Sciences: - Mathematics (pure and stats) - Mechanics (classical, Fluid and Structural) - Thermodynamics - Electronics - C.A.D - Technical Drawings - Materials Science - Manufacturing Technology - Operations Research and Project Management - Engineering Design Optimisation
hey anna, good to see a mech engineer posting videos on youtube. i am a bit confused about choosing my major for masters degree. should i go for mech engg or any other specialisation like material science or aerospace. and i searched alot about work of mech engg, but still i am not able to under exactly what a mech engg does during the work hours. can you help me with this
Very good, but she left out; get out and take things (mechanical) apart, put them together, see if they break. I have seen so many engineers fail because they had no hands on experience. Cut, bend, melt, weld etc and run it till it breaks. As Elon says "If you're not failing, you're not trying hard enough".
The background music is from the UA-cam audio library (where you can download it for free) and it is called "No.1 A Minor Waltz" by Esther Abrami Thank you! :)
After 5 years of experience in the mechanical field as a production planning and control engineer can I go for my master's degree in data scientists in Germany?
Do you have a bachelor's degree? I'm honestly not sure what the requirements are to start a master's. It could be good to contact the university or check the entry requirements they list on their website :)
@@chiragkumarchavda8546 Nice then you probably have good chances. Depending on the entry requirements you might need to take some additional classes if your bachelor didn't cover them but the uni will know this much better :)
Why are germans the best in the world at engineering? I love my volkswaggon and think Mercedes trucks are bad ass. I feel like Germany could build anything if they had a good reason too
Sayanti, you know me better than myself. Please tell me all that is necessary for me to take the right decision. How long do I keep trying to do something, and you put me, shut me down. Please, one call and all the truth.

Totally agree!
Me too!

I am following the same five approaches and its productive for sure

Great idea 💡 thanks
I agree, if my lecturer isn’t clear or I don’t understand, there’s always a UA-cam video that explains it so simply!
Helps with my Mechatronics 👌🏻
Well said!
love your videos Anna! very informative videos ♥️
Thank you so much!!

This video is for me 😅 Thanks you ❤ Now I'm following you ❤
Glad to hear :) Thanks for subbing!
Great Video! Can you make a video about your Career path.
Thanks! Do you mean my career path until now or where I want to take my career in the future? :)
@@theannareich until now
@@sereibothsek9739 Nice idea, I'll try to make that soon :)
do you have study material soft copy books for mechanical engineering
Great content. Keep going
Thank you 🙌

With what would you start? Or where would you get the parts?
Sending love! Love the video 💞💞♥♥

If I learn mechanical engineering in your country...Do I have surity in that job??

Hi Anna, you share good stuff.
Could you pls help me (mech engr)get a job in Luxembourg pls??
Thanks! I'm afraid I don't have any contacts to Luxembourg :D
Thanks for your feedback. If you come across any recruitment agency from Lux. Pls let me know i am desperately looking to move there with my family.
You should change the video thumbnail.
Thanks for the feedback. What's your suggestion? :)
