Thanks for making this! I stopped going to the gym because I started transitioning, and wound up working out at home due to COVID. I'm looking forward to having a different space to start working out again. ☆
thanks for this man! i’ve got a convention at a college and the showers are communal and i was looking around for some tips. ik you made this for the gym but still helpful
This was good. I'm going to a gym for a trial, and I'm looking to see what's expected. I haven't been in a group shower area since high school. (1978) I'm getting a good idea of what goes on with each video. Thanks for posting.
I recently started showering after hockey training. We have like big open showers, nothing else. I was really nervous about it, but I am just with my back torwards everyone and no one has asked me about anything so im good I guess. I just shower in boxers, then I dry off, go to a less visible corner and change into dry boxers. And yeah, my boxers don't look totally convincing and I might be acting like I have something to hide, but yeah, not showering after hockey is literally the worst.
Thanks!! This was helpful! I'm getting a fitness subscribsion tomorrow, I'm staying at my cabin until October if all goes well with the showering and sauna 😁😎
i just take the gymbag in the shower. i have a hook and hang it by the short handles while washing and sholder strap while undressing and taking stuff out of it. it has a compartment for the dirty clothes. i wash it and air it out often.
Thanks for this video! I want to hit the gym this year but I'm so afraid of showers and locker rooms in general because I barely pass as male. I just hope they're not open ones like I've seen before in some locker rooms for sports.
I rarely pass, especially if I talk, but at the gym I keep to myself. I never had anyone say or do anything negative towards me in the locker room. I think since guys usually aren't looking at other people in the locker room helps. I think that people who would see me in there and maybe questioned my gender probably just figured that since I was in the men's that I was a guy and maybe just really young or something. Keep your safety and comfort in mind though. You may not HAVE to use the lockers or showers if you can plan around it.
Thank you for the video! 🙂 I had been going to a more expensive gym...where they had that extra space i could change & stuff in private...but now this less expensive gym just has the small stall & im like yikes ...how am i going to do this lol....because i like showering at the gym after my workout... Thank u for the tips 🙂
i love showering at the gym too because the water pressure is DELUXEEEEEEEEEEE. at home it's kinda weak and where i live i have to wait a lot for it to get hot
Are you asumming there is a stall shower in every gym? Veeery wrong. Nope. Many gyms just have one only general shower room for everyone and do not allow any fabric in.
I think it depends. Calling or checking online/reviews may give you insight before physically going to check out a gym. I have seen both, the small curtain showers and big private showers, at different Planet Fitness locations. Even within the same city each one can be different. If they built the building specifically for Planet Fitness it probably is big nice showers vs if it was something previously and Planet Fitness moved in after. It may depend on how big of a space they have. It may be different for other gym chains like Chuze, LA Fitness, Anytime Fitness, etc and local gyms.
Tough call. Usually glass doors are used so you can tell if someone is inside or not but still give a level of privacy. The doors are usually frosted glass so you're more of a blur. If the door won't get wet from the shower head you could put a towel over the door to give more privacy.
Oooh that's tough. I've heard that some trans guys (with top surgery or super small chest) who use open showers like that and wear swim trunks. It's probably less "weird" if the gym has a swimming pool. Or top surgery/small chest and a badass prosthetic!
@@findingcameron758 I'm the bitch? funny how three words made you and so many others act like one. It was a simple question. This is what happens when you mess with creation, enjoy watching you're UA-cam hero/heroin LOL
Im not transgender but this really helped me to be ready to shower at the gym thank you!!

Congrats on continuing to work out! I hope this helps when you head back into the gym.
Thanks for this video, I’m not even transitioning but I have bad anxiety so it’s nice to know these things ahead of time to be prepared (:

Look up the Hero Clip! It’s a carabiner that has a hook that folds out. May be helpful for your shower caddy! Super versatile
Thanks Nathan, that clip looks cool! I could definitely see this being useful to hang my stuff easily.
Thanks this really helped !

@@vltracade6347 Thank you so much for your answer!!

I thought this was for school
Which gyms have the bigger, nicer, private showers?

We use the same products lol.
Thats too funny. It smells good!
Thank for this. It may help me in the near future. Appreciate finding your advice.
Glad it could help
Thanks for making this vid! Its super helpful!!! :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Very informational! And you’re also very cute ❤️

Do you think they can see in with the glass shower doors?

You're welcome! Thank you for watching
this would be hard in germany, we usually only have big community showers at gyms and i haaate it! No privacy :(

boy or girl?

She’s a girl just like any other female.
