@@LohmannRauscherUK how to wash it with water. I'm not sure whether to soap it or just pour water since thr wound is on the nipple area. Should I wet the wound or just the sides of the wound?

The Camara is way too far away. Viewer can't see anything.. Can't really hear what you're saying either. There should be up close segments, of the cleaning of the wound and of the package that you show.

Sorry the typing was appalling - I want to ask if you would wash your face with the water in the bowl after you have washed the patient’s foot and leg? I’m just asking?

Are you raised by a mother or father? Who ever raised you must have real issues. I feel really sorry about you and people surrounding you. I hope you don't have children cause one day if they read these, man I don't know what kind a psychological issues they will go through.

Hello Jo, we would recommend for sanitary reasons that that water used to wash the leg is disposed of after washing as it may contain bacteria and emollients/ creams from the limb

Why are you just managing venous leg ulcers instead of treating the underlying cause?
I had them through a past long misdiagnosed DVT. I have now had the underlying cause treated in 2018 but had to pay, I haven’t looked back since.

Hi Eve, this is a series that we produced during Covid to help people that have a leg ulcer take care of their condition from home when access to a professional was limited. We are very much focussed on healing leg ulcers and work with both healthcare professionals and patients to achieve this. If you require any support please contact our customer services team. Thank you

@@LohmannRauscherUK this is all very well, but are you informing people that they can be referred for Duplex scanning ? You really should be focused on guiding people to a vascular consultant or a Phlebologist.. The damaged veins need to be identified, treated and their ulcers can be cured for good or at the very least hugely improved. I have met people who have suffered with venous ulcers for 40 years and then had the treatments and have had and not had them since.
The NHS really are decades behind in vein treatments.
It is a travesty that the NHS spends 2 to 3 billion per year on wound clinics and tissue viability services just managing the symptoms when in fact 85% of people’s ulcers are venous and can be cured or improved.
You did not really answer my question. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I would NEVER go to the NHS for help and support regarding venous issues, but thanks for the reply anyway.

@@1961-v9kHi Eve, we're sorry to hear about your experience with your leg health. You're right, around 2% of the adult population in the UK are estimated to be living with a leg ulcer. More needs to be done to change this. We work with leading clinicians across the UK as well as bodies such as the National Wound Care Strategy to promote best practice in leg health assessment, treatment and management and to reduce the variation of care across the UK. We are really passionate about improving this - you can catch up on our work with clinicians and patients across our other social channels and at Club Squeeze In - our patient educational community. Thank you

@@LohmannRauscherUK thanks but no need as I’m now cured. You can work as much as you want but the treatments I had are not being offered by the NHS. The professor who’s clinic I had treatment at in London has taken this to Parliament. His laser treatment, which he pioneered and performed the first operation in 1998, was adopted into the NHS NICE guidelines, but the NHS does not employ Phlebologists (not Phlebotomist) so if a patient has Perforators vein damage Vascular specialists within the NHS are unable to perform surgery on these small veins, only large Truncal veins, and even then people suffering venous insufficiency will absolutely not be offered it. Incidentally, there are now much more up to date treatments available since May 2019, but still the NHS just keeps on ‘managing’ venous leg ulcers 😡
£6,000 poorer but no longer need those bloody awful bandages and compression hose.
