I grew tired of commercial radio in the early 80's.
There would be a wave of material that caught my ear for a mear moment, but it was just that, a mear moment.
Cant speak for other radio markets on the globe, but here in metro Detroit, Michigan they sukk !
We had radio stations that catered to this type of material that were phased out of programming.
A number of these remixes I'm hearing, hear present day, I've never heard the original version of, so the remix is like a new song to me entirely.
And I'm liking them.
