Tommy, that is a great video you've produced in my opinion. I'm a lyricist. I also compose music with strong point being melodies but I wrote freelance for Hallmark and moved from there to lyrics. (I was a winner of the American Song Festival many moons ago when I wrote a lyric for Smokey Robinson's melody.) I'm not applying for a job here! I just wanted to add to your comments that the essence of it all is setting realistic expectations all the way through the board. I have completed lyrics in 15 minutes (don't all songwriters have one or two of those?!) but I have others that are years in the works. It's amazing when it all comes together. I appreciated your video.

Great advice. I know this is about music, but I recently found something I really liked - the intro for the Netflix series "Itaewon Class". I love the music and the visuals. I usually skip the intros, because they tend to be boring waste of time, but never in this case. I actually enjoy it.

I've never watched that (I do not subscribe to Netflix) but I tried to find something here on UA-cam that would lead me to that intro that you liked. 1. Folgers. 2. Adam Lambert was 10 years ahead of his time questioning why the music mafia was so intent on demanding genres - especially a whole album of it. But they wouldn't hear of it and essentially killed his career (besides the homophobia). They dismissed his funk (with Niles, no less) as "dated" throwback. Beyonce? She did funk the same year and they loved it - because it was "throwback"!
