I really just write my music inspired by the show and its characters. I'll admit, I do write a lot of music that doesn't include super-direct references to the show, but it's still what inspires my writing. I mean, look at the FNAF fandom now. It's becoming gigantic in the music scene, and it's just because the musicians have no fear of putting direct references in their songs. If we go back to the beginning of the music scene in the pony fandom, like TheLivingTombstone, Aviators, WoodenToaster, dBPony, MicTheMicrophone, we can see that they all just put words like "Pony", "mare", "filly", as well as character names, and all kinds of other words related to the show. They made the music scene awesome! Nowadays, the musicians don't do that so much, and it's kind of sad. It's not being normal that makes you popular. In fact, every song I've posted on my channel that's not a pony song has been one of my least popular songs. It's not about the ponies, it's about going all the way with what you're writing about, or not writing about it at all. #HorseOrDie

Just when I thought I was out of the fandom This comes and smashes me right in the feels. Dang, I almost forgot how awesome and heartbreaking this fandom tends to get
If I had to choose, I'd say that this song and "Stay" resonate most with me. This song is, at least to me, the perfect mood for one of the more significant and complex conflicts in the otherwise lighthearted show. Granted-Immortality would be a terrible white-elephant of a gift. All of a sudden, the obsessive and fallible Twilight becomes a figurehead, while faced with the worry she will have to watch all of her true friends pass away, all the while being expected to move on and forge new and "lasting" friendships. She knows it will all end the same, in pain and loss, but as the Princess of Friendship she's obligated to try her utmost.
Anything with a beginning, will inevitably end. Whether I go through with that, or simply give up here at the very least I can't be hurt any further. If she'd been lying, I should've told her to stop. And if she'd been telling the truth, I should've worked on changing those feelings. And if even that was no good I should have simply let myself get hurt. (c) Yuzumori-san. About pain, loneliness and breaking up. I think that even though it would take some time and outside help (Celestia?) for Twilight to get to the same conclusion, but she would get to it eventually. She would mourn her friends dead, but she will be able to move on and live her life.

It always amazes me when I think back to my first time joining the fandom. I absolutely despised Twilight and Celestia, yet now they stand as two of my favorite characters. Twilight was the last character I thought I'd root for, yet here I am.
