OASIS: 'Don't Look Back In Anger' recreated using Noel Gallagher's guitar!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- Recorded and filmed June 20-21, 2022 at the Coach House Studio, Rockfield Studios, South Wales.
NOTE: Regarding Noel's other acoustic guitar, a lot of people have commented that it is an Epiphone, but Nick Brine told me it was in fact a Gibson, hence the 'Gibson' reference in the video at 03:13
You can also hear Nick talk about the other guitar being a Gibson in this video ( • NOELGUITAR: I Just Pla... ) at 14m25s.
Cheers, JH

I'm not often moved by things. I'm fairly stoic. Watching this and reading the story has flat out reduced me to tears. There is living the dream, and LIVING THE DREAM. Think this falls firmly into the second category. My god James, what an experience this must have been. You have my never ending respect.
Cheers.
Hey telecaster458 thanks so much!
It was a great experience, we had a blast - and it's great getting to put it all on here. Feels like I'm sharing the same experience with thousands of people.
Glad you enjoyed it 🍻🍻
It's funny you mention that b'cos as I was watching the video they are the EXACT words I was thinking: "LIVING THE DREAM".
Then I read your comment and was blown away.
@@JamesHargreavesGuitar How about an Oasis Tribute Band?
'I'm fairly stoic' 🤣
This feels like the "modern" alternative of going to Abbey Road and recreat the Beatles sound - love it.
Something Oasis themselves did. Ah, the circle of life
TBH, he did recreate the Beatles sound since The Unibrow Brothers copied them pretty blatantly
Don't look back in Anger was recorded with a Fender Stratocaster lended by Johnny Marr. The amp was a vox AC30. 😉
I'm hammered in Majorca. Everyone is french. Tonight is Karaoke night. Im doing live forever. Wish me luck
You rock
God, I feel sooo old listening to these talented youngsters playing the music from my young adulthood.
Just become a dad for the second time.
Endless summers unfurled ahead.
Britain felt cool & confident.
Damn the piano really sounds exactly the same. The whole project is phenomenal!! Great job mates!! Cheers from Hong Kong!
I play the first 2 seconds for people and hit Pause. I ask, do you know this song? Everyone: Imagine
I had Don’t Look Back In Anger as my most played song on Spotify of 2021, being in the top 0.005% of Oasis listeners. I listened to it 734 times in 2021. Yes, I listen to it multiple times a day. This cover here is fokin’ biblical. Noel would be proud :)
734 haha wow thats a looottt
@musictime haha I’m listening to it as I reply to this comment 😂
@musictime no it's worse, wrapped goes from 1 january to 31 october haha so only 10 months
I can assure you I'm beating that with something like 873 this year! 🙃😉😅
@@cansueceklc5020 hahah I have 280 over the last 5 years of DLBIA I thought that was a lot, my most streamed song on spotify is 583 over the last 5 years
You did a cracking job there. Absolutely nailed it, drums especially. Beautiful trip down Nostalgia Lane.
Totally worth the wait. Great cover and heartwarming story James. The stuff musicians dream of doing.
Watching your video brings back my beautiful old memories. Even if it's just a passing relationship that I've never seen offline and don't know the name of, I'm so happy to meet you through your video in the UA-cam world. Your video shines the most on my UA-cam window right now. Your video is the best video. I wish you could stay by my side forever. In the wide UA-cam world like the Milky Way in the night sky, I happened to meet your video as beautiful as a star and enjoyed it as if I was dreaming. My heart seemed sad and shabby, but after watching your video, I became very happy. Thank you. .Please upload your wonderful videos often in the future. Even if the UA-cam road is rough and the rain and wind blows and everything in this world moves away from me, I will always leave only your videos in my memory. It's like a foreboding feeling, so my heart is fluttering. Even if the seasons pass and the years pass and the mountains and streams change, I think the UA-cam world will never change and will last forever. Whether it was a coincidence or a coincidence based on an unknown mysterious algorithm, I opened my UA-cam window and your thumbnail caught my eye. You have the ability to make your videos instantly stunning and attractive. Thank you to the algorithm that made it possible to watch good videos, I hope that you will succeed as you have worked hard for your dreams.
This is absolutely wonderful, James. Heartwarming content, man. And you got to play the Noel Chord on Noel's guitar!
Magic
Wow, just Wow!
This a magic cover. So good it has a place with the original.
And the solo was recorded on a p-bass.
As a Oasis fan, this wonderfull cover with lots of memories of that time 1995 and all that implies the 90s decade for the fans , this cover made me tear up, all the details showed and explained made me feel that I lived too much but not feelling old....thanx dear James an all your friends!! I feel that de 90s spirit is not totally lost at all....
Fantastic
Damn, this is quite the musical pilgrimage. Nicely done!
Well done everyone. That was amazing, you made the song feel so fresh. Musically flawless. Love it.

Spot on! From one Oasis fan to another. Great job. Well done! I hope Noel gets to see this!
You must delighted and equally proud. Special stuff and memories !
Sounds great and the video with all the footage of Noel and the band really sets it off. Quite moving actually. Well done to all involved. A once in a lifetime opportunity!
Great collaboration all involved. This was a lovely idea, nicely executed and very fun to listen to!!
Nice experiment, great experience, great result…
Maniacally ❤️
Incredibly underrated
I always found this song boring, but I loved watching you recreate the sound that faithfully. This is a work of love and dedication that everyone should respect.
This is really good I admire your energy, I think you would do a great job of rocking chair ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
That's a damn hard song to sing, at least for me 😆
I was impressed enough with the Oasis connection. That's absolutely excellent, and then I also remembered Rockfield is where Rush recorded A Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres. I'd have been on my ******* knees. So much rock history 😮❤
Absolutely stunning job! Thank's for all you do about Oasis. Cheers from Brasil.
James that was AMAZING.!! Thank you. Also lucky you
awesome
Excellent! I stayed at the coach house and did the studio tour last month based on your videos - so cool that you've now done this as well :)
Amazing, loved every minute of this!
I'm looking back in awe, nicely done sir!
Bloody brilliant! Nostalgic with just the right amount of freshness. Your voice sounds fab too. Amazing work.
Bravo 👏🏾 Simply bravo 👏🏾
This is rad!
Vocals = epic!
Well done, James!
Well done James and the gang - really accurate cover. I was 16 when this album first came out and it's hard to believe how much time has passed. The 90s were indeed, better days.
Bet you're not going to forget this experience in a minute! wow
That was just simply brilliant James 👍👏👏👏👏
Cracking job guys. Love this.
Best oasis song!
Beautiful
This sounds incredible. You have all done a fantastic job with this and what a great idea to do it in the first place. Well done folks.
Brilliant as always James
We love this record in America too, what a classic album and song ✌️💙
Phenomenal work
Excellent work as always James! Rock on.
Wow!
Amazing.
Well done James. Good job on all fronts. Great feel-good vid and a good result!
This must've been a dream come true, recording the track and getting so many of the original elements together! Congrats mate, a winner is you!
Amazing job! Love the work you do 🥳👏🏻👏🏻
Fantastic re-creation James. Well done to you and everyone involved. I first heard the song when Oasis played at Sheffield Arena 22/4/95 during Noel's mid gig acoustic set. He'd only written it a few days before. It was the last gig with Tony McCarroll as well and Pulp were the support band. Great memories.
Don’t look back in anger was the 1st cassette I ever purchased in my life
Played the hell out of this and the B-side step out
Well done James, you all did a good job 👏🏼
Exact same, my first single purchase . I played step out to death
@@shredder9536 I bet kids don’t even know what a cassette player is these days 😂
Step out is a quality tune, it’s gotta be up there 🇬🇧👍🏼
Fantastic!!!
We, the sound people are a very rare kind of people. And Im happy about it.
Fucking nailed it mate, you're well and truly part of the oasis fabric of time now! The attention to detail is absolutely sublime and I'm sure Bonehead, Guigs, Whitey, Liam and Noel will all get a massive nostalgia kick if they see this - could be the spark that starts the oasis engine up again you never know 😉
Stick in mate, top man!
Quick side note, any new material you have coming out in future either from yourself or bands you produce, I'd be more than happy to give them some airtime and good coverage on my new radio show 😊.
Bucket list moment right here mate! Unreal 🔥
Cheers from the USA! As a massive Oasis fan this was really cool to see. This is so close to the original it’s scary
Bloody good effort on this one, lads. Bravo.
well done mate, you've put a lot of work into your channel, you deserve all the perks what come with it👍
this is insane!! so cool well done!
👏👏👏👏👏 Outstanding!
A pretty bloody good effort - well done to all involved.
Thanks man!!! Amazing!!!
Superb version! Well done! Really cool
Love this recreation!
This is super awesome!! I remember watching Noel play MTV Unplugged and it was what inspired me to learn to play. Some 20 plus years later I still play just about everyday. I'm no longer playing in a band but I have a Gibson Advanced Jumbo that I play about everyday these days. I'm more into Punk music but Oasis will always be the root to my music. Really awesome video 🤘
Oh also, I thought this was important to add.. What Oasis did is nothing short of amazing in my opinion. In the mid- Late 90's when Oasis starting becoming poplar in the US they were up against what that time was still Nirvana and the whole grunge Era.. (I hated the 90's grunge Era lol) 🤘
That sounded truly epic! Supersonic even
Brilliant ❤️
Amazing stuff once again! Keep it up.
Great experiment, great experience, great result…
Sounds amazing James
Bravo !!
That was cool
Great work! 🤘🏻🙌🏻
Brilliant work James!
Bravo. Well done!
So so cool 😎 love it, well done❣️🤩
GREAT JOB!
Great cover and excellent production 👏
Great job guys, ciao from Italy
Nice job man, that must have been fun as shit :)
Well made
Well done lads!
so clean man
that was brilliant
Noel used a Strat for Don’t look back in Anger.
What’s a strat?
@@startracker5895 Fender Stratocaster is a make of electric guitar, aka “Strat”.
Brilliant cover, much love James and keep it up! Always one of their strongest songs and best ballads ever.
Legend!
Very cool James!
