  • We called out to South Devon to see Paul Millman of Millman Contracting and watch their JCB 435S working a new Albutt folding push off buckrake! 👌
GRASSMEN are the fast-paced, global agriculture phenomenon whose video content and merchandise are recognised worldwide. The business was started in 2009 by current director Gareth Gault, known to fans as ‘Donkey’. His love and passion for machinery allowed him to experiment with cameras and upload content to UA-cam. To his surprise, a large following soon developed and the niche in the market for real-life, documentary, farming and machinery action made it possible to drive the brand forward.
We at GRASSMEN, pride ourselves on providing an exclusive look into agricultural manufacturers, meeting real, working farmers, showing and demonstrating farming machinery through all seasons such as silage and slurry, and ultimately educating and entertaining our fans.
If you love all things agriculture from top manufacturers such as John Deere, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, JCB, Land Rover and many many more, come and join #teamgrassmen, we would love to have you.

Is good to hear an operator talk that knows how to build stacks and what is the main task of building stacks, Roll the material NOT get it in the stack asap.
I used 8410 with little 3m push off buck rake on rear, miss those days.
Is building around the corner but why is stack still so long, can JCBs not build up a stepper face?

That's the way to go with loading shovels buckraking rather than this whole flicking the grass and fluffing it up and getting it full of air 👍

@@DamienNestor no mate,I have been mowing, baling, wrapping, chopping and clamping silage for 40yrs,just because the Irish do it their way, doesn't make it the correct way.
Buckrakes are designed to slowly push the crop off the forks, consolidating as you go.
      Here endeth your lesson,bellend.

I’m Irish, but I fully agree with the push off method. Less wear and tear on the front of the loader too. Let the oil do the work!

I agree - it looks a good piece of kit - and it looks as though it will save a lot of time on the silage pit as it is so much faster - than flicking the grass about like Donkey was doing when he was trialling the JCB 420S - with a grape the other week. I hope Donkey trials this push off buck rake on the JCB 420S - he will have the job done in half the time.
