Using the One Leaf NV400 InfraRed Torch

How to use the provided ir Torch with the One Leaf NV400 at night. The torch has three illumination gears and can be focused into a sharp focused beam, or flooded out to fill the screen. The torch should be focused onto the reticle, then the torch can be tightend up for a secure mount. There are three lights at the rear of the bell of the torch to show which illumination gear the torch is on, something that is different to most ir torches. The design of the torch is such, that when used with the NV400, there shouldn't be any static, floaters, that can be found with other torches.

The 950 IR torch is a lot stealthier, as it admits very little visible red light. The only downside, is that is it doesn’t have the range of the 840 IR. It is certainly suitable for sub 12ft lb pest control, as it still gives you a good clear sight picture over 100 yards. 👍

Yes, the NV400 should work very well with the 950nm ir torch, as the Sony Starvis processor is so good you can still see detail enough with no ir light in starlight mode.

Well the one I am getting looks like it’s getting sent straight back looking at that footage not a patch on the new Arken Zulus 5-20 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

It has an 8 hour operating life. I would say bring spare batteries for the ir torch if used on full power over this time.

Is the emitted light visible to animals and waterfowl at night?

When used against rodents, they don't seem to notice even from 14 yards away.
