One of the best things about all great wrestling eras is having there be several people at the top. The attitude era wasn't just Rock and Austin and the Ruthless Aggression era wasn't just Cena and Orton. I think we need a stretch where the world title flip flops for a bit, give it to Jey, Drew, Cody, Owens, Gunther, Zayn, Reigns, Knight. There's been long title reigns for what feels like forever and it only builds the product around 1 or 2 guys. Get everyone in on it!
You would think HHH would’ve learned being in both of those eras. But he was on top a lot during his peak & after. So he thinks you can push 2 guys and just give them a bunch of challengers like he had. Unfortunately he doesn’t realize he had it that way because he slept his way into the family. So he really doesn’t know what it’s like to be ONE of the top guys because he paid the price for the curtain call then shot up to the front of the line after his sentence.
It also means when someone actually kicks out of a move it really means something!! NO ONE should be kicking out of a finishing move at 1! But you kick out at 2? 2 & 9/10ths? Then it's on the wrestlers to sell the comeback from taking a finisher!! Gah! 😄

I'm a Punk fan and I'm perfectly okay with this. A title ups the stakes from their last already epic blood feud, and Drew deserves it. He stepped up his game against Punk in that rivalry for sure.

I don't think you need a star to actually win the belt to build its legacy. If you had Flair and Lynch feud over the title, both costing each other title shots and neither actually winning it, only for someone like Perez to come in and steal it out from under both of them builds not only the desirability of the belt but also the new talent who actually gets it in the end.

Aside from Big-E returning to the ring(if he wants to and is healthy)...the only thing that I want in 2025 is: R-Truth gets to the final 2 in the Rumble. He stumbles or gets distracted and moves to the side suddenly when the other person tries to clothesline him and eliminated himself. R-Truth thinks that Little Jimmy is the one who eliminated the other person...so he proceeds to have a match against Little Jimmy. While everyone else looks on super confused, somehow, R-Truth eliminates himself. R-Truth is declared the winner, but he claims that Little Jimmy won. Weeks and weeks of hilarity ensues as he argues that Little Jimmy won and how he doesn't deserve a title match (which he finally gets and finally wins).
I do think we should actually get a "Worlds Collide: NXT vs. TNA" event this year, and maybe the best timing would be during SummerSlam weekend. NXT will definitely have its usual Stand & Deliver show for Mania 41 weekend, but Slammiversary this year will be July 20 on Long Island, NY, while SummerSlam will be a couple of weeks later on August 2 & 3 in East Rutherford, NJ. Considering that Slammiversary will be on a Sunday, similar to Genesis this month, that likely means that the following Impact on Thursday will be live, followed by a taped show for the next week, so that'd be perfect for two episodes of Impact to finish setting up a crossover show with NXT on SummerSlam weekend. After the NXTNA stuff across both promotions last year, I think 2025 should absolutely be the year we see a full on crossover PLE between NXT & TNA.
I’m into this. The TNA/NXT cross-over this year has been pretty good for both, boosting Jordan Grace and catapulting the Joe Hendry hype globally. Keeping it up I think should be beneficial to both brands building their stars up.
Kevin beats Cody at RR, Orton comes back and beat KO at the next PLE, Cena Beats Orton at WM and holds it til December, where he either retires with it or Orton beats him in his last match.

With Becky moving into more acting, being in Star Trek (as a bridge crew member) and a project Seth couldn't talk about recently, I think she'll become more of a part timer or seasonal player. Which really to be honest isn't a bad thing, absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. But it wouldn't allow for like a year long run with the belt or anything like that.
The biggest thing I want this year is for them to get Finn Balor and Damien Priest the heck away from anyone or anything to do with the Judgment Day. I am sick to death of seeing these people interact, and there's a roster full of talent they could do amazing stuff with.
I wanna fantasybook Cena losing the Rumble, trying to find another way to get into the Wrestlemania main event, have Bron Breakker calling him out and challenge him to a match at Wrestlemania. Cena uses his experience to defeat the younger, faster and stronger opponent and wins his first ever IC title. Use it in a similar way he did the US title, put young talent over until Summerslam where he could be (rather easily) defeated by Jacob Fatu, putting him over big time and use it to build Jacob Fatu up even more to be the future breakout star of the new Bloodline. Meanwhile after Summerslam, Cena admits to himself that he does not have another title run left in him and uses his the last few months of his career giving the fans (non title) dream matches against fellow future Hall of Famers like Punk, Rhodes and Orton

With this being the first 2 night SummerSlam you need something big and there would be nothing bigger than Cena breaking the record. This also still gives you a few months of a proper Cena reign and he could have a lot of defenses against today’s stars. Then Cody wins it back off of Cena in his retirement match.
I would also do Lyra Valkeria vs Becky at WM 41 for the IC title. The belt will gain momentum because Becky is going after it and you push Lyra to the top by winning against Becky

I really disagree about former women's world champs going after the midcard titles, the belt don't need prestige as much as the division. I think if you are a woman, you don't have opportunity still for a blood feud, the last one I can think of is Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon, you're either in the title picture or spinning your wheels in the past, like especially with the divas era, and these titles are to solve that. I think in a hypothetical world, where these titles exist and Becky Lynch's man character had been centered around the US title, and the main event of Wrestlemania 35 for example it means a lot more, because rather than this being the 3d time she's won the big one, we've gotten to follow her on this journey to it for the first time. Also in a world with Rhea and Becky and Charlotte, not every woman is going to feel credible with these legends and I feel that the function of these titles is to get them ready for that mix.

Modern Day "Smackdown Six" of Gunther, Drew, Sami, Ko, Jey and Chad Gable would be enough to carry smackdown.
Add in Solo, Fatu, MCMG, GoD, Street Profits, add in Orton for a needed vet and Smackdown would become my preferred show.

With Becky moving into more acting, being in Star Trek (as a bridge crew member) and a project Seth couldn't talk about recently, I think she'll become more of a part timer or seasonal player. Which really to be honest isn't a bad thing, absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. But it wouldn't allow for like a year long run with the belt or anything like that.
The biggest thing I want this year is for them to get Finn Balor and Damien Priest the heck away from anyone or anything to do with the Judgment Day. I am sick to death of seeing these people interact, and there's a roster full of talent they could do amazing stuff with.

Use it in a similar way he did the US title, put young talent over until Summerslam where he could be (rather easily) defeated by Jacob Fatu, putting him over big time and use it to build Jacob Fatu up even more to be the future breakout star of the new Bloodline.

I don’t like the idea of Cena winning the title in his last match. I do think it should take him a while to win it though. I’m not hugely interested in Cena/Cody but I do think a trilogy between them this year makes a lot of sense with Cody winning at Mania. Cena wins it at SummerSlam. With this being the first 2 night SummerSlam you need something big and there would be nothing bigger than Cena breaking the record. This also still gives you a few months of a proper Cena reign and he could have a lot of defenses against today’s stars. Then Cody wins it back off of Cena in his retirement match.
I would also do Lyra Valkeria vs Becky at WM 41 for the IC title. The belt will gain momentum because Becky is going after it and you push Lyra to the top by winning against Becky

I really disagree about former women's world champs going after the midcard titles, the belt don't need prestige as much as the division.
I think if you are a woman, you don't have opportunity still for a blood feud, the last one I can think of is Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon, you're either in the title picture or spinning your wheels in the past, like especially with the divas era, and these titles are to solve that.
I think in a hypothetical world, where these titles exist and Becky Lynch's man character had been centered around the US title, and the main event of Wrestlemania 35 for example it means a lot more, because rather than this being the 3d time she's won the big one, we've gotten to follow her on this journey to it for the first time.
Also in a world with Rhea and Becky and Charlotte, not every woman is going to feel credible with these legends and I feel that the function of these titles is to get them ready for that mix.

Also: have Rumble performance be a way to gain automatic entry to Elimination Chamber. Have the runner up, the ironman, and whoever has the most eliminations automatically qualify for the EC match and fill the remaining places with ‘qualifiers’.
