A. I use the Go Pro Hero 6 Black Edition
A truck towing a trailer on a trailer towed by a truck. I see what you did there!
B-Rad Wilso
Zinan Watts no a truck is a broad generic name semi would be more appropriate
@Zinan Watts the proper term for the Peterbilt, is a tractor. TRUCK is a generic term for larger commercial vehicle. the 'Semi' is the term for the trailer. a semi trailer is one that requires the front of the trailer to rest on a tractor or wheeled dolly, in the cast of doubles. a true trailer has it's own front support unless its a balance trailer such as the camp trailer in tow here. IM just saying to help you all out some.
@@raybankes7668 ok thx btw i reset my account so i dont see my comment here so this is kinda funny i was just scrolling through and see my name lol
Seems like nobody understands
SLOW DOWN
MOVE OVER
this law needs to be enforced with very high fines
])
Truck drivers have little excuse for not doing it other than a car blocking them out.
If they can't move over, they should at least slow down. There's no excuse for doing 75 in the same lane.
I'm a professional driver and it really irritates me to see no one moving over. If I can't move over, I slow way down to make it safer for anyone on the shoulder. Tow operators have an extremely dangerous job, so anything I can do to remove some of that danger makes a difference.
Yup my city. They don't play. Big ticket and also stopping for emergency vehicles
You're a very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and talented dude and you've got some serious recovery equipment - makes for great content. Love the videos - can't understand why people would dislike the video - at any rate, keep up the great work and stay safe.
“My buddy has a class A and said the Ac unit shouldn’t matter” lol what? 😂🤣
Won't matter when you clean it off at a bridge, right
It has a bridge sensor and ducking feature
Your buddy may have limited experience with California enforcement procedures.
That was a great use of the safety chains on the tow truck to tie itself down.👍
They seem like cool people. It's always nice when you deal with folks like that.
Soooo many people refusing to move over to the other lane. I can about imagine how much it aggravates you. It aggravates me and I'm just watching!
Americans, your trucks sound *SOO* good.
In Europe we have open pipe Scanias that sound pretty sweet but they are rare and mostly show trucks
WE see a lot of Scania coaches in Thailand, they go up mountains effortlessly.
Your very profestion tow truck person. Love your road side courtasy. Now Me I would have called a road side mechanic to fix wheel bearing. Now me I always repack my bearings every couple years. Depending on use. They last longer and no worries about failier on that.
I do too. I also have a spare set of bearings and some grease tucked away in a storage bin. If I had to, I could do it on the side of the road.
Can u also do more driving time with the Peterbilt
Dang i wanted to see it being delivered! Next video? Awesome as always. Thanks for giving us young kids good names. 19 with a class B driving dump trucks right now. Cant wait to get in a big rig. Two more years lol
That is completely awesome!! I have never seen anything like it before. Cool flatbed!
Hard working young dude!
That's a beautiful unit you have their great work stay safe
Love the sliding axle supertilt dude thats mint. Over here we would just winch the caravan/ trailer onto a supertilt directly but if you can do it even easier why not.
Nice job Trent! Your company is just on top of the towing world when it comes to equipment & units to getting. the job done. That really was a bad place to have work as well! Thanks forsharing & stay safe out there Trent!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Thanks for watching!
Excellent job but I think I would have been popping in a spare bearing and save some cash though. .
Ditto, owners probably had no idea, didn't even know the hitch ball size.
A $15 bearing probably would have saved him $5. I'm sure the tow bill wasn't more than $20.
I'm glad you pointed out about the tires because if you let them sit too long they can dry rot.
Consider customizing your puppy tow truck. Weld four chain hooks each to its anchor plate and fix those to the frame. Then you can just hang in your chains and tie em up. Chains around leaf springs is very 20th century. ;-)
I doubt I would have used a split pin under the hitch just to put the trailer on the flatbed, but on UA-cam it's a thumbs up.
Some jurisdictions you would need a manufacturer's paper work and engineering design plus specialized welder to get tie down hooks on a truck. Far too expensive and even more expensive if you just do it and some idiot causes a minor collision resulting in an inspection.
Stay safe mate, great work!
Travis to the rescue. Love your videos always feel like I’m watching a training video. Oh yeah the sound of the tractor music for the ears. Keep the videos coming.
Trent haha but Thanks for watching!
Who is Travis?
Trent, do not feel bad, I get called Jason from time to time, now I got a cousin born at least ten years ago who is named Jason and my uncle who is his father called me by that name quite a few times. Embarrassing but funny.
Love the sound of the jake!!
Nice Trailer you have there! It makes loading/unloading a breeze.
That's a sweet trailer, never seen one work like that before.
Traveling axle, means the axles move forward to lower the tail so the main lower deck inclines as you have just seen instead of like a hydraulic tail which has a high break over angle. This one is a Landoll trailer, used mainly in equipment transport for such as forklifts, utility tractors and such.
Truck sound real good / Love the sound
Nathaniel Touch 55
You keep me watching you do amazing stuff! I need to go to sleep! Lol! You good! All I can say!!! Please be careful out there!
had that happen to me.i strapped axle up to trailer took tire off,no one noticed running on 3 wheels till i got out of west va.then people looked
your suggestion is exactly what I would have done. see my comment above.
and thanks for a little bit of the blue pete sound!
I see that you have the same issues with traffic that won't pull over AND SLOW DOWN! Good to see you are out enjoying yourself. Nice job.
Ray Jones
That cab over wrecker has the same set up as the one I normally drive except the wheel lift is a Vulcan set up and it still has the Holmes set up on it
I dunno, I must like big things getting towed by bigger heavier things
damn your truck sounds good, love the videos and just recently subscribed to your channel and cant get enough. be safe out there!
there's nothing like hearing a good tractor with a nice cummins or Detroit it's a if it's a Peterbilt or a KW or Freightliner that's a Sweet Sound
Hey Trent how many trucks are in your fleet awesome job keeping everything together equipment too.
That's a slick flatbed trailer! and I couldn't agree more with people on here, drivers SUCK at moving over or slowing down!
Cool trailer and a cute little tow truck lol
I would hate if other people tried to help me
I like the blue Peterbilt. Great video man all of your videos are interesting cuz I don’t see stuff like this in central California
Great video as always Trent!
Awesome video. I wondered why after you had some chains on the passenger side you did not back the rig up and angle the trailer off the freeway a little to give yourself some safe room to work?
Another good tow,thanks again.
Trent are you on Hwy 86 /Salton City area ??? , Also I like that Blue Peterbilt and it's awesome sounding Jake Brake
Sir Trent !! Seems like you run into alot of RV"S with bearing problems... Reading the owners manual once in awhile would help to keep the bearings greased !!! Anyhow's,,,keep's you guys in business !!!! Guess money not an issue for them !!! KEEP IT SAFE !!!
Mate... gorgeous looking and sounding 379..!! please what are the chances of a walk around video of each of your rigs sometime to show us all what they are set up like, a bit like what 'Peterbilt Steve' does on his channel of his trucks for sale ?? that'd be awesome... keep up the great work
Great job it sucks people see a wrecker and slow down and cause a wreck or will not move over man great looking in peterbuilt my friend drives one
Love the sound of that Pete without the jakes
Thanks for watching!
No cones for the flatbed ? Ain't ya worried some idiot will do a Dukes of Hazzard on it ?
That trailer is so cool.
You think cones will prevent that?
do YOU want a repair bill probably in the thousands among other punishments?
we got a couple of landoll like that and we had a chinesse man hit the side of the landoll and kept going lool we kept the door of the car as a souvenir lool
Great Job...be safe Brother.
You should make a video on featuring all the equipment and gear that yall have back at the yard/shop :P love the videos man, also that is one hell of pete :P and stay safe out their.
Great job overall. Hope these good people got the help they needed, when all said and done. I just hate the thought of someone getting kicked when there down. I can only hope...!
As always enjoyed the video that damn traffic don't give you a lot of room though👍
Thanks for watching!
that pete sounds so good
When did you open the box? Were you guys called specifically by them or requested through AAA?
Thanks for the video Trent.
Thanks for watching!
That's a job for sure. Did it end up being overheight?
great job and you need the same law indiana has if they dont give you a lane as your out they can get up to a 10k fine
Thanks Trent 🖒
Nice truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice video I hope they did not need a permit for that RV if they did that super crazy
It shouldn't but it still amazes me that people don't slow down and move over watch your back out there
BEAUTIFUL TOW SET UP, WHAT IS THE BILL ON A TOW LIKE THIS?????
I've never seen the trailer like that that's neat
Damn that Jake sounds good what year is that truck??
Can you do a part 2
You da man Trent..
Great vid..but did u leave the bottle of water on the trailer. .lol
Blue and silver peterbilt is beautiful
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Plaza Towing ur welcome. I always look forward to the next video .
I like the turbo whistle
Landoll should add a removable sliding ball mount in the center that can be winched up and down the full length of the deck. Like what they have on those 3 car wedge trailers. Save you from tying up two trucks on one job.
That would be pretty slick! Thanks for watching!
Why would anyone pay for a tow from Indio to Riverside, when they could simply get the bearing repaired in Indio?
Hey Trent - if you get some time, could you please do a video on the little Isuzu for us?
What year truck are you driving in this video
Nice job. Gr from the Netherlands.
Thanks for watching!
Im appalled at the way other truckers and car drivers come so close and so fast to where you are working, have they no sense of danger?
Is that cute little truck Nissan?
How much would a tow like this run you
that trailer winch a must aney wet it gone down off edge
So what was the hieght and why didnt you guys or owner just fix the wheel bearing right there a friend was hauling a JD B from florida to home in mi and somehow he had complete hub bearing/axle failure and lost the entire hub if not even the axle spindle he limped it to a tsc and bought a new axle hub and tire and rim and fixed in tsc parking lot in tn
Because the towing company gets paid to tow not fix stuff
@@albertocastellanos5047 yep, not all towing companies have workshops. I don't get paid to fix your problems just to get you somewhere that they can be fixed.
Most likly a sealed unit without serviceable bearings. My 2006 P/U has them. Seems too many suppose mechanic did them wheel hearongs wrong!
Since the travel trailer has a dual axle suspension, would it be possible to chain the end of the axle with the bad wheel bearing up to the trailer frame and remove the wheel?
The brake drum would be up off the ground, hopefully with enough clearance to limp the travel trailer to the repair facility on three wheels. (Maybe at 50 mph?)
Yes, it's "possible" and many people do that. However, it's not a good idea, especially being a toy hauler with extra weight behind the rear axle. The tires and axles aren't rated for much more than what the trailer weighs dry with all 4 tires on the ground. You take out half of one of the axle's towing capacity and it becomes a safety hazard for either blowing a tire, bending an axle or turning the trailer into a teeter totter balancing on one tire. Albeit there is still another tire taking some weight on the other side, it's still very unstable.
that's exactly what I would have done. saved the 1000+ tow bill and hastle. not thinking outside the box. a good tow company has a service truck to make repairs like that. and to the guy above my comment- the rig would have made it to the repair shop on 3 tires. just air up the one holding more weight to max allowed pressure and move along at a slower rate watching that it does not over heat. I have done it before even with a large commercial log trailer one time., it maybe over weight, but take the 4wheeler out and put it in the back of the pick-up etc.
Its amazing how many idiots there are on the road that don't move over when they clearly have plenty of room to do so, p.s. I love all the videos, especially the ones with that sweet Pete in em
A quite trafficated road in the middle of no where..
I would love to do this type of work
I died when the dude was like "my buddy has a class A and roof AC's shouldn't count" LOL
Why didn't you put cones out on the road so the traffic knows to move over
32:00 Dam, talk about stressful..
i can't believe how much explaining he had to do as to the tow plan. Some people are devoid of common sense entirely
ah Salton City. i know exactly that turn out, lol
Nice Job
Nice work
Thanks for watching!
I know jack shit about trailers but damn does your trailer look so cool when lowering.
Big bill there for a wheel bearing
Maybe some orange cones to put out behind your rig?
Bit late to the party, but if you ever happen to see some videos from Ron Pratt. Cones don't help much at all. And Missouri Law has it where they can run lights and he has a video talking about them laws/regulations. And they still won't move at times. About the only time they do is when law enforcement is there. Even than that's questionable.
Doesn’t California enforce the move over law?
dont anyone else think.take an hr n put bearing race n hub on it n go bout ur business.would be better?
bob clark By the looks of their location, it looked like the closest town was atleast an hour away. Maybe that town didn't have a part store to get a wheel bearing from.
be a good idea to carry a spare set of bearings and tools to do the job
ya for real
Maybe they rented it and owners wouldn’t let em
Plaza Towing is in the business for towing, not mechanic work,. They won't touch doing bearings for liability reasons!
Nice job loading that camper
Thanks for watching!
what do you use that small truck for
Can't Kill Me small things
i want this exact job but in space.
Seems really dangerous...
Super nice people
do you use a mic
