Hello Katie, my pinterest doesn't have the ads dropdown on the top left, so I can't access pinterest trends, what can I do to have all pinterest tools,
Since we shouldn't be pinning personal stuff, do you think it hurts if you pin personal stuff to a secret board? Or will that penalize your account? I'd love to just have one account for biz and personal without affecting my business account.
Hey Byrt, thanks for asking. 🙌 A Pinterest course is in the planning, but realistically, it will be available at the earliest Winter 21/Spring 22 as I'm going on maternity leave soon. At this point, I'm posting the most up-to-date videos here on UA-cam, which I'll continue over the next couple of months even as I'm on leave. Sorry that it's not moving faster. Just being curious, though, would you be more interested in an A-Z course or a membership with videos but also regular updates? Thank you 💛
@@KatieGrazer First, I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. Thank you 🙌🏽!! Regarding the course; I am more wired towards a defined course length (with a start and a finish) that I can learn and put action to. But I know not everyone is like that. 😅I’m a non-event when it comes to Pinterest. But I would dearly love to do well there. 😎 My aim: to drive traffic to an offer or to my blog (from Pinterest). I’m the type that needs to know how to do it right to make a big impact (in this case on Pinterest). Btw you are doing amazing well posting those videos on UA-cam for us. I just discovered them today and was blown away by how much you share and how frequent!! Also, a big congratulations on your coming birth 👏🏽. (Not sure if you already have kids). My wife and I have three grown-up children - we know how precious that experience is. My many thanks, Katie.
Hey Katie, I have a website in home decor products niche and I have created a pinterest account for that to promote my website. From few days I'm focusing to grow my pinterest account by posting story pins and now I'm planning to start posting also normal pins linking to my website but the problem is that previously my account has been suspended due to an error which got resolved by mailing to the pinterest team and my account got reactivated. So I wanted to ask shall I continue with this pinterest account or shall create a new pinterest account due to previous suspension of that account.
How often should we pin? I work for a makeup brand that’s looking to launch on Pinterest, however tips I’ve heard of posting 10-15x/day seems very difficult even with batch content creation. Looking for good insights here! Would posting Mon-Fri 5x/day with a mix of fresh and less fresh pins work? Or posting in bursts vs daily? Thank you in advance and for all your help!
Does Pinterest controls our monthly view numbers? I have been improving my monthly views from 0 to nearly 500k in 2 months, but it just stopped there and not going up anymore, although I took your advice in creating fresh pins and post new contents without stopping.
Hey Cassia, first congrats on getting to 500K in 2 months! That's phenomenal. Now I don't think Pinterest is cutting off monthly views. I believe after 10 million, they stop showing specific numbers, though.
Thanks for this video Katie. I have been struggling with the new Pinterest algorithm lately. Do you still recommend scheduling in Tailwind or should I do it with the Pinterest scheduler? Also do you find Pinterest works well for getting viewers to UA-cam? I am currently working toward monetizing my UA-cam channel on blogging tips and tutorials for new and growing female entrepreneurs and I am trying to drive traffic both to my blog and YT channel, but I find that it works much better for my blog traffic. Thanks!
I'm new to Pinterest and I'm finding your videos so helpful, binge watching all of them. I was wondering if when claiming your site on Pinterest, does your site have to be already established or can it be brand new with minimal products added, and same with Pinterest.. I just started so I've only created a few pins. Would that matter, or should I wait until I already have traction on both?
Hey Emma, thanks so much - happy to hear you're enjoying my videos. No, your site does not have to be established so you can claim it. Pinterest is great to help you build that initial traction as it's much harder for new sites to get traffic from, let's say, Google. Just keep creating new content and new pins, and I think you'll do great. 👍
You mentioned that the algorithm is looking for fresh pins and not pins from other pinners. Does this mean if I'm using Tailwinds to publish my pins I shouldn't be scheduling other pinners pins any longer, just mine?
Hey Denise, yup, that's exactly right. If you can create enough of your own content to pin regularly, then you don't need to pin other people's pins. 😊
@@KatieGrazer thank you for that response but it begs one more question; then what's the purpose of Tailwind Communities since you are expected to pin other pinners content - should we not be in Communities anymore?
Thank you for sharing! I love your videos - they’ve been helping me so much! I know you recommend to create story pins and I have a question about that. Since I am a food blogger, should I create my story pins in Pinterest so that I can add the “ingredients” button and recipe specific tags or is it OK to create them in Canva without those things?
Great questions. So I actually think you can create your Story Pin in Canva and then simply export each story slide as one png. Then you can head over to the desktop version of Pinterest and upload your images as a story one by one. This way, you can still add your ingredients to the details page and use Canva to design the story. I hope you understand what I mean 😅 If this isn't working, let me know, and I'll try to figure out another way. I think it should work.
Hi Katei.
This is very useful and informative on pinterest.

Hey Lauren. Not at all. You can use secret boards, which won't affect your overall account.
Thanks! That's good to hear!
You are fantastic! Thank you! 😇
Thank you Samuel - I appreciate that!
thank you KD
Thank you very much

Hey Mohammad, I think if Pinterest reactivated your account, you're good and shouldn't worry. You don't need to create a new account.

If I create them in Canva, I can make a template but if I create them in Pinterest I can’t.
