You are absolutely right with the guaiacwood! I create perfume at home and the smell of guaiacwood itself smells like smokey meat 😅 but in small amounts in rose accords it smells really nice but in very very small amounts 😂
I think you have confused with the previous release of this fragrance. The notes are not the same of this version of Cuir. No offense just saying.

Tom Fords Ombré Leather is very similar. They both have the Violet note, and leather.
Just saw that Alexandrea fragrances has a version of this and a couple people familiar with the OG really recommended it.
