Wow, that big box with what looks like 1/24 scale rally cars was a real gift from Germany. Those are not cheap. I use to have a huge collection of 1/24, 1/18 and 1/12 scale diecast cars. Sold off most of it and now have a large collection of 1/43 scale cars (more cars, taking up less room 🙂👍).
Hiya Ian and family, thank you for the unity you and everyone who follows Ian brings. It's a very humanly thing😂😅 thanks to everyone. ❤ regards from the Netherlands
The kindness and generosity of people always takes my breath away ❤
I'm starting to think the Europeans out did us Aussies. But, nah Aussie's can't be out done. 🤠🐨 BTW the Scania cookie cutters were a win! 👍⭐
@@tomthebadasscat not at all 😀 you Aussies are incredibly generous! Love from a pommy ❤️
No competition. But I have a question to you Aussies: Do you have such low shipping costs ? Would also love to send some groceries, snacks, sweets or beverages. But in that case the shipping is much more expensive than the contents of the package - nearly 50,- € for 5 kg. Best regards from Germany to you DOWN UNDER 🦘🤗.
The 3 wheeled truck is a Scammell Scarab!
One of my ultimate favourite vehicles ever made, definitely one to check out!
2 big packages from Germany 🇩🇪 finally keep up the good work Germany 🇩🇪 😊
The Frankfurt Skyline has a funny name imho, given that Frankfurt is located at the river Main, it´s called Mainhattan! Also, those old houses from the Frankfurt book that you show into the camera, The Frankfurter Römer also exists as brick build sets (not from Lego, but Lego compatible), by a german company called Bluebrixx. IIRC thgere are 6 sets alltogether, each one showing the facade of one of the famous buildings from that city quarter.
Hi Ian from the UK that was a special video , i can see how excited you all were , your patrons are a fantastic group , many thanks for the content , always look forward to the content . Best wishes , one of if not the best channels i have subscribed to , Cheers mate .
When he said he got to go to he Nürburgring one day, he reminded me of the one time I got to be on the tracks. It was when I attended the music festival Rock am Ring, which taks places at the Nürburgring. The bus that took us from the parking lot to the festival place actually went on a good portion of the racing track. It was fun and by the speed we went I guess the bus driver had as well a great time 😃
That tree hat is perfect for Ian.
Sébastien Loeb (your Pikes Peak video; 9 WRC world champion titles) was world champion 3 times at the wheel of the Citroën Xsara wrc (2L turbo 335 hp)
I wasn't really into the Xsara until I saw it go like stink under Loeb's direction. Then I loved it.
This is just so wholesome. All of it: you guys, the people sending stuff.
Oh man, I adore the way you celebrate the mail time. You hounor every mail and sender and you treat it with so much dignity.

Danke schön. Viele Grüße zurück. 😀
The cap is froma company called Nikin, which is Swiss. It's a very popular brand here and they have very lovely basics for men and women and nice colours and good quality.
Lindt is from Switzerland too but they do have a factory in Germany and the chocolate they sell in Germany is obviously made to fit the German taste so they have a few different products (but I also think the chocolate isn't that good, it's below average for Swiss standards). It's good for supermarket level chocolate though.
Germany 🇩🇪 Go win 🏆 the UEFA Euro Cup 2024
I love this content. So wholesome :) Ian, when are you and your lovely family coming over to Europe for vacation? :) Maybe some people will rcognize you in the street, haha! :D
Scalectric slot cars are also sold in Australia. My brother was into them as a kid and that got me into it so we could race. It was fun! You’re going to need another room if you get into slot cars! But so much fun! Maybe make the track into flat timber sheets that can come apart and stack against a wall.
You are blessed ❤.
Today at 21:00 (UTC + 2) the European Football conquest starts. Much smaller than the WM but interesting.
Best internet community on heaven's earth.... Hi from Frankfurt, GER!
I'm just waiting for someone to make him interested enough, to do a reaction to some older - pre 2000 Audis. Like the Rs2 or b5 Rs4 or 100 S4 or Sport Quattro for example. Maybe also some tuned ones. That would be so awesome. I think pre 00' Audis are so freaking cool 😁
Finally some stuff from Germany what took them so long?😊 👍
It took Ian so long to open it up - it's in the US since end of 2023.
Really hope my package did arrive
Not a car person. I don't even have a driver's license. Don't know where GM comes into the picture, but always thought that Vauxhall was the British name for Opel, which I thought was German. Like Siemens is sort of a cheap German clone of Phillips.
you probably already know but it is possible to have a lap or two on silverstone.
That yellow pick up is a morris
Why do you have the numberplate from a 2018 Hyundai Ioniq from the UK on your wall?
(In the UK we have a website where you can search number plates and find out the vehicle's info)
Why on earth would DVLA let people just look up random number plates and find out the vehicle's info.
I wouldn't be surprised if people in the UK just look up random number plates, trying to track down random stranger's vehicles and attempt to steal the number plates.
Or wanting the DVLA to deregister random stranger's vehicles.
It was sent to me on another episode, though I didn’t know the info on it haha
@@automation7295 you can only see info such as make, model, engine, and whether it is taxed and MOTd, you cannot see info about the owner or it's location or anything like that (anymore)
The MOT history checker lets you see the history of the vehicles MOTs (passes, fails and why)
Great websites for car/vehicle lovers like me!
Also useful when looking at cars for sale as you can see what issues it may have had

Citroen is pronounced cit-ren
Sorry, that's wrong.
The car brand is spelled "Citroën".
Please note the two dots above the "e".
The meaning is that you pronounce the two consecutive vowels separately.
The pronunciation is therefore "sitʀoˈɛn" (according to IPA).
Start with a Spanish "Si", then "tro" as in "trauma" and finally "en" like the English "an" (as in "an egg").
Love and peace from Hannover, Germany.

One thing (among many others) which I like of your "unboxing" videos, is the natural setting. There's your family and friends around, you hear kids in the background, it's just your home. No fancy studio with professional background and lights. Your setup is much more authentic and cozy. Don't change it!
Absolutely. Very wholesome.
Those Skoda Felicias and the hardtop Octavias where sold in the U.S. I believe there is two from New York a husband and wife pair of cars that now live in Los Angels with an eccentric collector that has Tatras and Jawas.

The Wimpey Pick up is a Morris Minor. Wimpey is a building company in the UK. These cars were used for all sorts of purposes, including cars, Woodys and even police cars, commonly referred to as Panda Cars.
You need to do your unboxing on time because of perishables, chocolate from other countries doesn't last as long as it will have an expiry date due to the milk content, only American chocolate last for ever 🤣😂

Great gifts. The time and thoughts people put into those packages is amazing
love watching you you are a great guy and humble, love watching you and your family.
Well, it almost looks like Germany has taken Ian to its heart, doesn't it? The Ralley car models are really expensive here in Germany! Both packages from Germany and Scotland were definitely not cheap. On the contrary! And the effort and time to put the individual items together! The video was really fun. A tip: Was there a TV or radio playing in the background? It was sometimes difficult to understand Ian because of the volume. But otherwise, nice video, great packages! Greetings from West Germany!🇩🇪🇪🇺👋

Opel also is since 2021 a Stellantis brand. GM sold its european brands Opel and Vauxhall in 2017 to PSA which merged with Fiat/Chrysler in 2019 into Stellantis.
The death sentence of once proud Chrysler brands. So sad to die with that junk.
You’re lookin’ good Ian!! Hope you and fam are well. 👍🏼

The 3 three Truck is Scammell Scarab it was the successor to the Scammell Mechanical Horse and production began in 1948.Its name is commonly believed to be derived from the rounded bonnet that resembled the elytra (wing covers) of a Scarab beetle, but the name really comes from a more conventional source. It was a portmanteau of Scammell and the Arab horse which the Mechanical Horse replaced in British Railways usage. It was used by British Railway and other companies to do deliveries in built up areas The Ministry of Defence also used the Scarab and trailers for predominantly internal transport on large military bases
It's pence not cents
this morning, on the way to the shops, I came across an old Chevrolet pick-up (from the 70s, I think), a Citroën 2 cv charleston (I haven't seen one for years), a Citroën Ami (your scale model), 2 Jeeps Limited (one old and one new), 1 Land Rover Defender, 3 Tesla (not so good!). from Mulhouse, Alsace, north-east France, the Stellantis ex-PSA factory where the Peugeot 205, 206, 307 were made.. National Automobile Museum Schlumpf collection, Train Museum, Electricity Museum. William Wyler, the great Hollywood filmmaker, was born in the German town of Mulhouse. Sébastien Loeb comes from Alsace.
Interesting fact about the Citroen Xsara WRC car was driven by both Colin McRae (R.I.P 🙏) and Sébastien Loeb in 2003...It was Loeb's second season in WRC and Monte Carlo 03 was his 2nd rally victory
With your enthusiasm for racing and race cars you've made a 39 year old man seriously considering if I should start collecting toy & model cars again as I did in my childhood 🥲
These things look soooo gorgeous nowadays, especially the rally cars!
51:43 the hat is from a Swiss fashion brand called Nikin. They focus on sustainability, e.g. they produce locally in Europe and they pledge to plant one tree for each item sold, hence the logo with the tree. According to their website, some of those trees have ended up in the US and in Canada as part of reforestation efforts after the recent wildfires.
Ian I have to say that you are one lucky man, and I am jealous!

UK is Pounds and Pence.
Majority of Europe is Euros and Cents
19 of the 27 EU members are in the Euro I believe.
The EU is NOT Europe, the European Union is 27 countries and Europe is 44 countries. So the majority of Europe is NOT on the euro.
Someone has to send him the Lindor Chocolate Ball mix !

I Like the Opel Manta box. My late father was a car salesman for Opel here in the western part of Sweden in the 1970s and 80s. The picture of the Opel Manta brought forth a lot of great childhood memories. I grew up with the 70s and 80s BMW, Opel, Fiat and Chevrolet - my father loved to sell these brands to Swedish customers 😊
The suggestion from Scotland is great. Take a look at the NC500. Done it twice, and I'm rebuilding my old VW-Bus to do it with that one at least once more. Fantastic landscape, nature and people there!

Just a thought, on your little picture, for this video, you placed flags. YOu had different nations, then you also at the Union Flag for GB, then the Scottish Flag. I know it's a little nitpicky, but you've put Scotland up there twice. Is that an ancestry thing?
I have heard so much good things about Galaxy chocolate... I have to try it now. We don't get those here in Luxembourg.
We do have really really good chocolate here but I just have to try the Galaxy to see if it lives up to the reputation.
We had once a Toblerone of 4,5Kg. This is way too much. After a while you get sick and your teeth hurt by even only looking at it. We made small portions of it and gifted them..
Hey Ian, just to set somethings straight: GM used to have Opel as a make for the entire European mainland and later on they converted the Korean make Deawoo in to Korean Chevrolet made for Europe, which was not a success and so Korean Chevrolet was only briefly available. Vauxhall"s basically are the wrong side drive Opel's. All research and development of these converted Opel's in to Vauxhall's was done in Germany. The British were allowed to assemble their own wrong side drive re-badged Opel cars in the UK for their own local market. This also goes for the German European Ford cars. Ford Europe did their research and development in Köln Germany and the British were allowed to assemble the German developed cars in the wrong side drive version for their own market. It really is Germany which is the leading hand in the European Automotive Industry, and not the UK. The UK really were allowed by the Germans to build German cars for their own local UK market. Ford USA however decided suddenly not that long ago that they were an American manufacturer and so no more European Ford's (Ford Ka, Ford Fiesta, Ford Escort/Focus, Ford Sierra/Mondeo, Ford Scorpio) should be made and everybody across the entire globe if they wanted to drive Ford, they should purchase American made and produced Fords; models like the Ford Bronco, of which the Americans share an history with ... but the convincing majority of Europeans have never heard of a Ford Bronco: What on earth is a Ford Bronco..??? And Ford USA, do you really think you can sell all American vehicles to Europeans?
Don't you think there is a very legit reason why Ford Germany has been so success full with their All European Fords..?
Cadillac has tried to concur Europe (so that contains the European British Islands as well) several times but they never succeeded since there was no demand in Europe for Cadillac's. Now I am curious to know how much of an success Ford USA is going to be, knowing what Cadillac already knows...: There is no or hardly any demand for American cars in Europe!
About those trucks in that magazine; These trucks are mostly UK trucks and they are not the standard in Europe. British made cars and British made trucks were sold in the UK and that's it. So you will hardly find any of these cars or trucks on the continental mainland of Europe.
The UK really is nothing more and nothing less than just another little European country located on some European Islands in the North Sea. The UK Islands used to be connected by land to the continental mainland of Europe a long time ago and that connecting land now is the bottom of the North Sea.
British cars, buses and trucks were used worldwide some as a ckd and built in places like Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, etc, sorry to disappoint you 🤣🤣
@@juniusvindex769 Yes, of course they were sold, built, copied, etc. in these countries and inspired people there to create their own brands.
They are all former colonies of the British Empire, that's the reason.
But you don't see them anywhere else.
For example, I only know the Holden brand from the crime series Brokenwood 🙂.
Love and peace from Hannover, Germany.
Klaus
@@juniusvindex769 Which can be true these are after all all former British colonies, but how long did they last? How many of them are left, I mean we all know the questionable reputation of British made cars and trucks and it isn't a good one, quality wise and durable-wise spoken. Come on, you know just like I do that this was the reason British Automotive Manufacturing basically ceased to exist. The only reason a much slimmed down version of British Automotive Manufacturing still exist today is because of the Germans. I mean...British Leyland for example and all of it's makes( Alvis, Austin, Austin-Healey, BSA, Daimler, Jaguar, Lanchester, Land-Rover, Leyland Motors, MG, Mini, Morris, Riley, Rover, Standard, Triumph, Vanden Plas and Wolseley) are dead, with the exception of those which are revitalized by the Germans with a German engine, German technology German engineering. So without the Germans No Rolls-Royce, No Bentley, No Mc-Laren, No Mini, No Aston Martin would exist today, do I need to go on..? Not only the Germans came to the rescue, obviously the Chinese and the USA also had their part in rescuing And Nothing, I mean Nothing at the moment car wise spoken is fully based up on British tech; nothing! So without help from abroad all existing British makes would have been ceased to exist.
"wrong side drive ..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😘👍
