''ch'' in german sounds like ''r'' and ''rr'' in Brazilian Portuguese, and the ''sch'' sounds like our ''x'' and ''ch'', this video made me confirm that, thank you so much!! such a feeling of relief lol
Eu ainda tenho a sensação que não é exatamente o "ch" ou "x". Parece que tem algo mais que eu não tô pegando!
I am a portuguese speaker and the CH is quite hard. Our throat isn't well used to make sounds like this.. haha. But I am keep trying until i ve got a sore throat :). Anyway, thanks for teaching. Very good video. Obrigado / danke.
Kelvin Cavalcante Pra mim o primeiro caso parece muito com o som de RR: chuRRasco, por exemplo. Já no segundo aparenta ter o som de ch mesmo: caCHorro. (São exemplos do que eu escuto no pt_br)
o som do CH hard eh realmente o som de RR, ja o CH de cachorro eh o som se SCH, para fazer o CH soft tenta imitar uma cobra ou um gato assustado.
The german sounds of hard R, hard CH and H are all used as the Portuguese hard R, so it is confusing.
" imitar uma cobra ou um gato assustado" faleci kkkk
Me parece que a pronúncia desde dois sons esta bem parecida com a pronúncia do r alemão também,
If you are a native German speaker, I'm VERY impressed by your English. You sound more American than a lot of Americans do lol
Das Stimmt!!
she grew up in States
This lesson is one of the most important lessons in A1. The lesson is well-organized as well by having the summary at the end of the lesson. Well done!

@@linalumas3132 it’s a little hard for me and I’m not native but knowing English and French can help with other language
Spot on examples! the "huge" sound made a HUGE and immediate click on my head. This is by far the best explanation I've seen about these sounds.

I started learning German one week ago, and I couldn't pronounce the "ch" sound. This is the first video I found that was really helpful. I tested what I learned pronouncing many words on voice recognition applications several times, and never failed. It seems that I learned. Danke!
Interesting. Which applications did you use?
This is the best explanation I’ve seen so far!! Been studying German for some 3+ months and this is soooo helpful!!!
I saw some videos. None of them explained the position of the tongue.
I saw this video. You told us the position of the tongue. That's all I needed. Now I'm feeling like a master
Thank you
Have a wonderful day
Thank you Jenny! Your lessons are really interesting, explanation is so well articulated.
I have no words to express my gratitude, much thanks
Hi Jenny! Hi Jacqueline!
Fantastic, we (learners) love phonetic lessons (vids 18-19-21-22 level A1), it gives us more confidence and helps us to talk. Because the one who hesitates to talk is no only the shy one BUT THE ONE who is NOT SURE HOW TO VOICE WORDS.
- Ich liebe diese Videos über die Aussprache -

I've been looking for this type of video for the last few days, trying hard to practice that "ch" sound (from huge), the first one wasn't hard because of my practice with Hebrew. VIELEN DANK! eine große Umarmung von Honduras. Gracias Jenny.
This is the best explanation for these sounds I've seen yet.
good thing i'm an Arabic speaker :DD the CH is actually a letter in Arabic so i had no problems with it
Yeah , the first pronunciation is pretty easy for an Arabic speaker but I still struggle with the " huge " pronunciation
I like your old videos ( eg : this video)very much aswell and I am sure others also do .Please don't replace them. You don't need to do that. They are fabulous the way they are!!.
