Beautiful Swat! Also, the houses and older buildings are in harmony with the landscape. Not so much the newer construction. It pains me to see ugly, 3 or more storey buildings in our own Himachal Pradesh as well. A little more thought should go into the design, facade and materials, to make it blend in with the beautiful surroundings in which they are situated.

I traveled in 1996.from Rawalpindi to Mangora whole day and road was so narrow you have to stop to let go other car or bus.From Mangora to kalam again nine hours, and they used local drivers because regular drivers can't drive on those mountains winding roads. Great great news for those who love swat and Kalam . I know that broken road which actually was no road at all and we reached Kalam in 6 hours from Bahrain in 2014
Till now I was waiting for this road to be built so now is time to go

visited 3 days back and now i’m realising how flood has completely destroyed beautiful roads there bahrain is all under water road from bahrain to kalam is so pathetic
Unfortunately we travelled through this road in 5 hours. When there was no road of any type.
Then you must travel now to feel the ease.
