HRO Safety Story: VA Officers save Veteran after wife's distress call

VA’s journey to become a High Reliability Organization (HRO) encourages employees to share stories to learn how we can improve patient care and keep our Veterans safe. Our Police Service is no stranger to good catches and often exemplify the HRO principle of Deference to Expertise. This is particularly true for our officers who used their diverse skills and training to quickly respond to a call from the distressed wife of a Veteran, ultimately saving his life. We hope to challenge all employees and other VAs to share their safety stories so we can learn, share and create a better VA!
