Love this leather, it’s more common in western boots over service boots and seeing it on a service boot is actually really cool! Lucchese and tecovas offer shark skin occasionally but they honestly don’t look as good as these Sagaras!
Hi Dale for the Caswell Lisbon would you say the tts is more narrow or about the same as the Parkhurst 602 1/2 down? Cool boot review btw I hadn’t really heard of shark leather. That’s pretty wild looking. So do you like the kangaroo and gaucho moose (Norwegian elk?) leathers?
Have you every seen or owned a pair of Flame Panda boots? I found out about them today and jeez they look beautiful, large variety of leathers, and price wise is near or above the price of the Garnet shell Cordovan’s from Grant Stone 🙂 Also I never would have thought shark skin can be made into boots 😌
Lol when you mentioned eating it, I was like don't you need to use milk and you followed it right up with that, I wondered if they did that in store because if someone doesn't know they'll think it taste like urine or whatever, and who wants to buy that product if they didn't know
Oh that's strange we eat (at least fish) a lot of flake/shark here and doesn't normally taste to fishy. I guess it's like all fish if it's suffocates a lot before it dies it'll normally taste 'fishy'

Shockingly beautiful boot!
We need wear updates on alot of boots
Don't have to worry about loose grain on these 🤣
Cool! Is it a vegtan or chrome tan shark leather?
Can you shine them?
Hi Dale, may I know what shoelast is it?

For Caswell I take a size 9, for Parkhurst, especially their newer builds, I am definitely an 8.5
Those are amazing looking boots
you need 2-6 mont to get sagara boots waiting list is creazy
Wonder why more companies don't use shark skin for special editions... how cool would it be on a light gray? :)
Maybe because sharks with that thick of a skin are mostly endangered lmao
@@trystanfranziskus Yeah you're probably right! Wonder if boots like this can only be made from sharks that died of other causes... Interesting.
Mako sharks are protected under the Cites Act Appendix II. I’m not sure where this bookmaker got the skins but I hope it was done legally.
The Stridewise article details this all out very well
Since when do we measure thickness in Ounces?
I made it all up! 😂

I’ve never owned any flame pandas no but have friends that do and they are phenomenal just a really long wait

Ahahaha yes exactly, almost all recipes call for using milk! So random but necessary lol!!

They look cool, but what do they smell like?
They don’t really have a smell to be honest!
crazy 🤪
Shame that would of been a great contender for the patina thunderdome
Interesting. Fugly, but interesting.
No one going to mention that it looks like a scrote?
