Re fill in colour,I’ve dark hair but watch all sorts of hair vids, and everyone I’ve seen has said fill with red…you’re the only person who’s said use gold, and explained why.seen a few explain cancelling out colour mistakes using a colour wheel.glad you explain everything 😊
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's interesting how different techniques can yield such varied results. I’m glad you found the explanation helpful!
When I listen to you videos Hair Buddha I realize how complicated coloring hair is! Have a great weekend everyone ❤ It’s like a horror movie, great one😅
The first girl's outcome was a fail, but it looked really nice on her. I love that warm, reddish, dark blonde/light brown color and it flatters her eyes and skin tone. Second girl's hair looks great. Not sure why she is complaining.
My hair is naturally dark brown and everybody thinks is black. We hardly have any comparison with black hair to realize that dark brown hair is also very dark.
My natural color is a brown black turning grey, I color roots now with a dark mahogany brown which is close to my natural color with red highlights. Everyone likes it, I love it, very much like a henna brown with red. Out in the sun the red highlights really show!
Mine too. I love the reddish warm auburn color but it doesn't pick up in my hair unless I do plum and it fades to a reddish color. My hair has ash in it and it does look almost black. Its darken as I got older
I always preferred very dark brown to black when it comes to hair dye (mine is naturally a sort of chestnut) It has the same effect as black, but without looking so harsh and flat.
Love the crash course in color theory!❤ wella is a good product I do believe the second girl came out with a better result than I could’ve imagined. Let’s see what happens after 10 washes though!
Schwarkopft golden tones IS . 5 everybody. And yesss so many videos of filling with red. Thanks Hair Buddha for clarifying that as well ❤❤. We learn every day from you. Regards..
I don't think this is a fail. It looks good on her. Sorry that it wasn't what she wanted but for a novice using box dye, I think it's a decent outcome.
I believe you're talking about the first girl - if so, I think it's considered a "fail" because it's not even. She also added a lot of products to her hair to get to this- that's always bad. And simply not getting what she was aiming for, especially with so many steps and products is a fail on its own. She's also asking for advice to "fix it" Thankfully, the end result does look good on her and she keeps it this way. Just my thoughts
I think both girls hair turned out pretty good for box dye and no cosmetology background. It could have been soooo much worse 😊 ...Much love from Colorado ❤️😘
The brown looks much better than bleach blond. That's dime a dozen nowdays, and looks fake. The darker brown brings out her beautiful, fair complexion. Makes her features pop more
Thanks Hair Buddha, many people in cosmetics, seem to have problems to recognize a color 😂😂 last week a guy said to me that I was ginger 😅, in fact I'm red... So I answered yes I m a natural red from birth 😂 he didn't understand 😂😂😊❤
The first one is very good result. The second one is not bad just not what she wanted. It’s too bad Sally’s doesn’t warn her the red would be so pigmented.
I been lucky even they I have pale skin with pink undertones but natural at the same time I have suit most of the colours I done 🙂 I think purple will always be my favourite hair colour 🙂
As someone with a natural white streak in salt and pepper hair- hair Buddha please make a video about how to brighten hair when there are naturally inconsistent colors
My natural brown hair throws a brassy/orange undertone. I am 56 with no grey hair yet, genetics with the woman in my family dont go grey till their 80's. My hairdresser does a great job with a semi permanent colour to counteract the red undertone. I never dye my own hair for all of the reasons shown in this video.
Why does everybody talk about " going in with this colour"? I didn't know that ash brown was darker than a golden brown. Lots of useful information here !
Mistake #1 using a TRANSPARENT color like Feria it is a NO BASE COLOR, it is a pure tone (Red) with some secondary color(s) Pink-Red / Violet-Red to give highlights / lowlights. Use a light warm brown to fill (Demi-Permanent works well) then a Neutral Brown for the finished result.
i bleachded my hair using your techniqe and i came out healthy and blonde. i didnt have to use toner bt a good toner would take it from pale blonde to a very light ash
I found the best way to neutralize red is to mix medium silver-blonde into my colour (L"Oreal 8UA + 8S). Maintaining it with John Frieda Blue Crush haircare makes it easy.
I have used Garnier Olia Black on brown dyed hair (lev 3) and grey roots are now black, lenghts are brown (lev 2). I need the blackest black dye advice 😁😀😀😀
when i worked at sallys they trained us to tell people to use red as a filler pretty much for everything and then you end up seeing them again to fix it...makes no sense lol
I cover my hrays with Wella Kokeston, half 6.1 and half 7.1 with 6 vol. peroxide by Wella with PERFECT, PERMANENT results. I think 3% wouldn't make the dye permanent, dear Hair Buddha, do you agree? I don't mind having a general warm, red tone, I was blonde-red when I was small, it suits me. But could it "age" me too? I'm 50 😂
One crazy question: I tested some dymethilene blue on a brown extension I had (not on my head). It turned out blue and greenish. But it doesn't wash out 😮 Is dymethilene blue like a "direct pigment"?
I think if you decide to do colour on your own, you shoud get informed and have some patience. Red and copper are tricky. I am going from bright red to copper with half black half gray natural hair without bleach and it's process, but it's going well 😂
Hi Hair Buddha! I love your videos and I have a question about my salt and pepper hair woes. My hair is relatively healthy, but it is very dull looking. How do I brighten my gray and silver hair?
If u hate your color because it's too dark (+) u R impatient? Go to your kitchen sink Grab the dish soap Wash 2-3x And after? CONDITION HAIR MASK LEAVE IN/ON 4 a Few hours
Hair Buddha m..I am so confused about this "filler color" thing. Can't you just dye your hair two times the same color? The first being the filler and the second being the color you want? This seems so much easier to me, why cant we just do that??...( I do understand the concept of repignentation )...Thanks.
Try this: create a toner. Take a whole bottle of Clarol 32D, add 1 oz 20 vol plus a big squirt of shampoo, mix well. Cover your damp hair thoroughly with this mixture, wait 10-15 mins, rinse and condition. Warmth removed.
Hey HB…didn’t she throw her color ratios off when it didn’t go into the bottle? 😳🫣 Box dyes are pre-measured so you get the results on the box. I’ve never had issues with boxed hair color.

Yes so many out there say to fill the hair with a copper or red before transition to dark brown.
I used copper to fill my hair before I did medium ash brown!
C'est toujours un plaisir d'écouter vos conseils !
I'll start my weekend with coffee and Hair Buddha video ❤🎉
Your facial expressions are exactly what I’m thinking 😂
Haha, I guess my face says it all! If only I could get paid for all the thoughts I have while watching these hair fails!

@zsigzsag My hair is the same. I'm debating on whether to let the gray grow out or to color. I love the mahogany brown color too.

7am when you upload for me......still happy and attentive to you. I love your style of teaching. You are awesome!
Thank you so much for your support! I'm glad to hear you enjoy my teaching style.
This video was really a masterclass, loved it
I loved both results on them though. It looked good, especially the first one.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone 💖😊
Thanks! Hope your weekend is chill and full of good vibes!
Thank you. Same to you and your family@@hair-buddha
Right back atcha! 😊
I love the color @531.... It looks so great on her... I also like the end result on the 2nd girl !!!!
Schwarkopft golden tones IS . 5 everybody. And yesss so many videos of filling with red. Thanks Hair Buddha for clarifying that as well ❤❤. We learn every day from you. Regards..
Thank you so much for all of the explanations hairbuddha. i always learn from your reaction videos and have fun.

I am so happy that I’ve never had the desire to change my hair color every month 😂
The bright red on the second one looked ❤
Thanks for all your interesting explanations👍
I'm glad you found the explanations interesting! Hair transformations can be quite the adventure!
I don’t know why nobody in any of these hair videos put petroleum jelly on their skin
i don't get why so many people don't use gloves for their dying or bleaching shenanigans either. a pack with 50 pairs is 5 bucks on amazon.
I actually love her result! And I think she did a good job, too. 💯
I'm glad you love the result! It's always fascinating to see how different colors can transform a look.
@@hair-buddha I might have a small personal bias towards red.

A brilliant masterclass & thanks Hair Buddha 😊👍✂️🎅🎄
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the masterclass!
Love you videos, always fantastic advice and a bit of humour, brilliant

Second video, dark hair suits her very well ❤
Thanks for the explanation
The first one is very good result. The second one is not bad just not what she wanted. It’s too bad Sally’s doesn’t warn her the red would be so pigmented.
I been lucky even they I have pale skin with pink undertones but natural at the same time I have suit most of the colours I done 🙂 I think purple will always be my favourite hair colour 🙂
That color remover did an awesome job of getting the red out
Repigmentation colour would depend on the colour you want to go 👍
The " light copper" box says double RR, which is red red not copper!!😮

I covered my copper hair with a cool med brown, is what the box said, lol, and it came out nice.

I have naturally reddish brown hair. My colorist has used the same color formula on me for years to achieve it and hiding some gray hair.
That sounds a lovely color to have.

Friday 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
New Video ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Have a Great Weekend @all
Once it fades she could use a pretty color.gloss instead of something permanent.
love your videos! :)
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoy the videos!
I'm sure you've mentioned repigmentating with red in several videos in the past.
My natural color is ash level 6ish, and it looks super dark. My mom calls it dark brown.
😳
Sounds like me telling my kid she has dark blonde, she insists it's light brown
@@cristinagray8407I say that to my kiddo all the time. In the sun it’s distinctly blonde, but she insists it’s brown… 🤷♀️
I have used Garnier Olia Black on brown dyed hair (lev 3) and grey roots are now black, lenghts are brown (lev 2). I need the blackest black dye advice 😁😀😀😀

Oh boy❤
Would the same color theory apply when coloring gray hair?

I considered adding a light violet corrector, what do you think? Thanks.
What if I wanna go from a red (demi perm) back to a level 6 brown? Would ash or gold be better?
I would take a natural one
One crazy question: I tested some dymethilene blue on a brown extension I had (not on my head). It turned out blue and greenish. But it doesn't wash out 😮 Is dymethilene blue like a "direct pigment"?
Honestly, a chocolate brown color would be perfect for her ( first one)
Second one, I don't hate it. Doesn't look bad but could be better
Omg 4N is dark! I am naturally a level 4… it’s dark lol I am I use 5N to blend my few greys
I think if you decide to do colour on your own, you shoud get informed and have some patience. Red and copper are tricky. I am going from bright red to copper with half black half gray natural hair without bleach and it's process, but it's going well 😂
It suits you
Hi Hair Buddha! I love your videos and I have a question about my salt and pepper hair woes. My hair is relatively healthy, but it is very dull looking. How do I brighten my gray and silver hair?
Platinum highlights.
There's also 7nw.
Looks better than that dried out blonde “before” on girl #1
💜
Would not say that was copper for her fill in. Seemed more vibrant red..
One week later: I am going from brown to platinblond😂
yes indeed
Hi👍✌️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
To be fair with the last one, her hair was a bit of a mess before she fixed it.
Brown to blonde, blonde to brown - why can’t anyone be happy with their natural hair colour?!? 😂
If u hate your color because it's too dark (+) u R impatient?
Go to your kitchen sink
Grab the dish soap

depending what color you are going to put on, it can get green...
The first lady's hair suits her better than the blonde. I don't know if it's the best color for her, but she needs to stop messing with it now
Hair looked better before the dye
Try this: create a toner. Take a whole bottle of Clarol 32D, add 1 oz 20 vol plus a big squirt of shampoo, mix well. Cover your damp hair thoroughly with this mixture, wait 10-15 mins, rinse and condition. Warmth removed.
I am more confused with all the tones, numbers and colors...no comprende..
Here's a tip- go to a professional!
Hey HB…didn’t she throw her color ratios off when it didn’t go into the bottle? 😳🫣 Box dyes are pre-measured so you get the results on the box.
I’ve never had issues with boxed hair color.
