If you want to spend a little extra. Archon of Cruelty is an absolute beast in this deck. Forcing an opponent to lose 6 life, sac 2 creatures, discard 2 cards and you gain 6 life and draw two cards on one attack is ridiculous.

Great episode, love this commander. I was using him as token generator/aristocrat drain until recently. Made a more vultron version of late that I haven't had a chance to play yet. Regardless of what style you play, I'd recommend Two-Handed Axe from Baldur's Gate. Cheap uncommon that doubles creature's power when it attacks (x2 with Isshin). If you're having mana issues with mardu, which is common, there are quite a few creatures and some enchantments to help that create treasures on attack. Hoarding Ogre, Zhentarim Bandit, Burakos Party Leader, and then the more expensive Captain Lannery Storm, and Goldspan Dragon for creatures. And Guild Artisan and Shiny Impetus for enchantments. Lastly, if you don't like mardu, there is also a Gruul commander called Wulfgar of Icewind Dale that is similar to Isshin. Wulfgar only triggers on creatures you control though, and has a higher mana cost. Hope this helps and have fun guys.

@@tomas_riv4134 it would be for real; but that would be an up side since most EDH games easily lasting around an hour or more. So I have been running this commander for a while and I think the way to go is heavy attack triggers with ways to apply haste. Myriad shines in this deck when playing with friends, I found a combo that I didn't see in the deck that is very strong otk potential. Now use the creature Eltruel Survivors that has Myriad and Trample with +X/0 for each land defending player has....... do you see the crazy swing you can make? I used it on my friends and they were all in disbelief lol
Would love to see a more permissive budget version of a lot of these deck builds (not a busted limitless $ version with super obvious staples though). There are some fun ideas here, but my playgroup would wreck this build.
I was wondering do you have a list of all creatures (commanders) you have made a deck with? It would be easier for me to find a suitable commander to build :)
If you follow the link in the video description it will take you to his decks on TCG player, scroll through and see what commanders interest you and you'll be able to see their decks by clicking on them.
Isshin, Two Heavens as One is a neat commander, but i disagree with alot of your choices, however, i know your intending to look at budget options. There are a handful of creatures that have an attack trigger that causes an additional combat phase, i would lean on that. Ramp, Tutors, Haste, then establish infinite combat triggers. You say Etali is the "golden pig" but let's be real, Combat Celebrant would be if it wasn't about $20.
I bit sad to not see Commander Liara Portyr in this decklist If you attack 3 opponents it's 6 cards exiled who cost 6 mana less to cast On a 3 cent card

As soon as I pulled the red, black, and white ancient dragons with legion's loyalty, I knew the direction I'd go with my deck, this is gonna be a powerhouse
The price is going to be higher than the $1/card that the rest of this deck is, but wouldn't Legion Loyalty be a shoe-in with Isshin, Two Heavens as One?
Ehhh not really, its way too expensive mana wise for what it does. People compare it to craterhoof, when its really not even close, you need a board of creatures where giving them myriad is going to be impactful. Isshin decks don't commonly have many cards in them were myriad is going to have your board go nuts, you're going to have 1 scary turn where you might kill a player, and then have your legion loyalty removed, or the other 2 players just kill you on crack back. If you aren't on a budget, Márton Stromgald is the way to go, you should have haste enablers in your deck, and if you do that boy is a literal red craterhoof. Whilst be might be a little spendy, he is a reserve list card, so he will retain his value.
If you want to spend a little extra. Archon of Cruelty is an absolute beast in this deck. Forcing an opponent to lose 6 life, sac 2 creatures, discard 2 cards and you gain 6 life and draw two cards on one attack is ridiculous.

Turn this deck into a "lose your friends" episode by adding Eldrazi with annihilator. I haven't seen anyone scoop so fast...
Fantastic Deck Tech Mitch! Keep the videos coming!
Hey Mitch! If you could upgrade the deck, how would you with say max/card being $15-20?
This deck is silly. I want it. Lol.
if you want to spend a lot on one card the double combat would be very strong is you have a lot of mana cause you can swing them swing so with the golden pig you'd be getting 16+ cards depending on how many times you use it
I wonder how chaotic this would be if were to be converted into a 4 player cube edh with everyone having the same commander?
It would be something for sure lol.
Damn it's a speed run to see who dies first 😂
@@tomas_riv4134 it would be for real; but that would be an up side since most EDH games easily lasting around an hour or more.
With how fast the game will end, you can have swiss rounds: best of 3, like a normal match of standard, having a similar length of game time.
For extra chaos, add some cards that trigger when opponents attack; since with the wording of the commander it doesn't matter who's creature attacks, with it only matters if you controll permanents that triggers during combat.
@@Zed-Corps yea could be lots of fun (and scooping) haha in my play group there are some commanders that are so gross we scoop on turn 3 so they're quite quick for us 😂
@@tomas_riv4134 definitely, when it comes to fast powerhouse decks like that; you should play rounds of 3 to determine the winner just like standard lol.
I used to play like that before 2020; but ever since then the few small game shops near me that other magic players frequented closed down unfortunately (༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ)
@@tomas_riv4134 most of Los Angeles is a dead zone for casual magic players; it's mostly just players who just care about only tournaments to grind for prize packs.
Utavara hellkite can be kinda pricey but in this deck it says qu’énerver à dragon u control attacks make 2 hugee dragons… it’s a dragon
Throw irelia for additional combats to do [Deluxe] damage
The only upgrades I'd make are Teferi's Protection, Aurelia and Helm of the Host
How would Aurelia the war leader work with something like this? I'm too smooth brain to figure it out 😂
You’d get 2 extra combats and 2 untap effects, but they both occur right away. You’ll need a vigilance effect to compliment it.
Or pair another creature with sword of hearth and home, get combat damage in, flash out and in aurelia, then boom, infinite combats
I need more practice, and need better mana ramp. I love my samurai deck but having trouble 😞
So I noticed the New Capenna "Hideout" fetch lands are listed in the video but on the decklist.. is this and alternative to the gates possibly? Just wondering why they didn't make the final list
I usually use oblation as card draw in my token decks lol.
i’m gonna need a mid range budget version of this deck, like ~$150.
Give this man myriad
So I have been running this commander for a while and I think the way to go is heavy attack triggers with ways to apply haste. Myriad shines in this deck when playing with friends, I found a combo that I didn't see in the deck that is very strong otk potential. Pair Two-Handed Axe with any myriad doubles their power twice before the myriad effect triggers. Now use the creature Eltruel Survivors that has Myriad and Trample with +X/0 for each land defending player has....... do you see the crazy swing you can make? I used it on my friends and they were all in disbelief lol
The myriad copies will have the base power of the creature they're copying, not the boosted power from the axe.
Went to TCG player to think about getting this deck. The deck was worth over $1000, turns our someone has listen a Hero of Oxid Ridge for $976
Pretty much every card that has Myriad is funny in this deck. Blade of Selves on Sun Titan?
Would love to see a more permissive budget version of a lot of these deck builds (not a busted limitless $ version with super obvious staples though). There are some fun ideas here, but my playgroup would wreck this build.
Wait… DOUBLE Lightmine Field?! 😈
were any of the red curse mentioned??
is there an upgrade guide ??o-o
I was wondering do you have a list of all creatures (commanders) you have made a deck with? It would be easier for me to find a suitable commander to build :)
If you follow the link in the video description it will take you to his decks on TCG player, scroll through and see what commanders interest you and you'll be able to see their decks by clicking on them.
is there like an aetherhub link for this deck that way I can see the whole card list?
Isshin, Two Heavens as One is a neat commander, but i disagree with alot of your choices, however, i know your intending to look at budget options. There are a handful of creatures that have an attack trigger that causes an additional combat phase, i would lean on that. Ramp, Tutors, Haste, then establish infinite combat triggers. You say Etali is the "golden pig" but let's be real, Combat Celebrant would be if it wasn't about $20.
I bit sad to not see Commander Liara Portyr in this decklist
If you attack 3 opponents it's 6 cards exiled who cost 6 mana less to cast
On a 3 cent card
Please do one on Muldrotha
Cheerin fanatic can help get out those big eldrazi creatures fyi
Head's up for all you amazing MTG player's, I currently got 2 Roleplay ASMR Audios in the making, about a girl that's dating a guy who teaches her to play the card game, I got a feeling that a bunch of you will like it ☺️💕
Would Ulamog with Annihilator be possible? Does it trigger two times?
Yes. He mentions 2 cards with Annihilator in the video. Ulamog wasn't mentioned because Mitch focuses on budget builds.
i am not sure what happened or if i am using this site right built this deck, after using the link, came out to over $1000.00.
Sad time. sounds like aggro fun.
i know its past budget for the card, but how would Aurelia, the Warleader run in that deck?
Awesomely
Would Myriad work in this deck?
If you watched the video, you'd know the answer...
Elder Brain.....you mean KRANG.
i cant find am adriana for less then 1.90
As soon as I pulled the red, black, and white ancient dragons with legion's loyalty, I knew the direction I'd go with my deck, this is gonna be a powerhouse
Yoooooo, how would Torbran work in this deck🤔😳
Blimey. Take a breath! 🤣I only caught half of what you said.
finally
You already made the remove these commanders asap vid. Why you gotta do a 2nd reason to make my deck the biggest threat on the table.
what means omega level :D ?
How could you not include Godo bandit warlord?
You do know that this build is ultra budget from an ultra budget builder, right?
@@andrewlavish9635 yes, but the effect works so well with him. I wasnt intending anything rude, I was just surprised
The price is going to be higher than the $1/card that the rest of this deck is, but wouldn't Legion Loyalty be a shoe-in with Isshin, Two Heavens as One?
Yup that card goes really well with this deck. And many others. Thanks for the reminder.
It's good, but it is high mana value, and can also be a total dud late game when you don't have 3 opponents.
