I just wanted to say - I've been a subscriber since you guys were below 1k subs, which wasn't even that long ago but having said that from the beginning your content has been excellent. Polished. Professional. Couple that with your engaging personalities, I always thought it was only a matter of time before your channel exploded in a big way - at least I was hoping so as there's never that guarantee. It really is ahead of most of your competition. In recent weeks I'm happy for you both that reality has transpired.
I can only see your growth continuing to be exponential which will only be solidified by you travelling further in the future to countries outside of Thailand when the lessening of restrictions become the norm. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do and where you go. Well done to you both. 🙂
Wow thank you SO much! This is probably the nicest comment we have ever received 😍🙏🏼 We really really appreciate that! 🤗 It makes us honestly so happy to hear! We are glad that you’ve been enjoying the content and coming on this journey with us! Thank you again 🙏🏼
Even though we love a traditional pad thai, the second one looked SOO GOOD! 😍Love those prawns and seafood on top, we would have given a 9.5 too! Great video as always guys, we agree with your ratings 😍
It was mindblowing 😍 but we agree with you, the classic is just so delicious there’s literally no need to improve it 🤗😍 Thanks so much guys ❤️
I recommend another Pad Thai restaurant in Bangkok that foreigners do not know. This Pad Thai restaurant is called "บ้านใหญ่ผัดไทยเตาถ่าน Baanyai padthai taotan" and this Pad Thai restaurant is in the middle between the 2 choices in this clip. It is 1. This shop is not expensive. The price is about 70-80 baht. 2. This restaurant has received a Michelin Bib Gourmand award. This Pad Thai restaurant is special because the owner (main chef) and most of the staff in the restaurant are hearing impaired. And this Pad Thai restaurant is an old Thai recipe. using a charcoal stove to make make it smell better and the use of lard which the restaurant has made by itself in stir frying and put the crispy pork obtained from the lard in the Pad Thai instead of the shrimp. I think you must forget the Pad Thai that you used to eat for sure.
You take the MRT to Sutthisan station. and then continue with a taxi or motorcycle, telling the driver that go to a pad thai restaurant Soi Intamara 47
Or you use the restaurant name(in this comment) to search location or review😁😁🙏🙏
Thank you so much for the suggestion! It sounds fantastic 😍 We will definitely make sure to check it out!
I’m agree w/ him. The best Pad Thai in Soi Intamara 47
@@2Passports1Dream at this restaurant It is a pad Thai that has already been seasoned for you. When ordering, you have to choose the level of spiciness. Just squeeze the lime and you can eat immediately without adding chili. The spiciness level I recommend for you is level 2-3 spiciness. which is not very spicy But it's good to recommend ordering level 1 and 3 each dish. In case level 3 it's too spicy for you 😁😁
Agree with him , (this restaurant is near my place) it is very tasty even you order max spicy level . They have many selection menu and you can order via grab delivery too.
The expensive pad Thai have all the big prawn, crab meat, dry squid meat so it’s understandable why it cost 400 bath. That look really yummy 😋
Yea you’re right! It did taste slightly different though. A little more sweet and delicious
I do love a Pad Thai,especially when it’s in Bangkok !
Great video guys and a massive congratulations on reaching 20k,
You deserve it 🏆👏🏼
Thank you so much for always watching and commenting from the beginning 😊
Omg I need that ‘expensive’ PadThai now! All the seafood, the prawn oil, the mango, it sounds absolutely amazing 🤤
It was really really good! 😊
I'm very proud that you both love Thailand and Thai food. I hope you will continue to spread these good things to foreigners. Thank you very much from Thai people
Thank you for watching 🤗 We are so happy to be here - amazing country, amazing people and amazing food 😍🙏🏼🇹🇭
Oh my god….i will go get one myself tomorrow. The expensive one looks amazing!!
It’s definitely worth it once
So happy that your contents lately gain more than 10k views in just a few days! It means you come the right way. Hug you both.
Thank you so much Jo! We can’t believe it 😍 it’s super exiting!
Wow they look soooo good 👍 😋. We have been adventuring out away from pad thai this trip. But you two have definitely made me want to get one soon. I've been on a Khao soi kick since we just got up to Chiang Mai a few days ago.
Yea to be honest we have not ate as much pad thais as we used to. Nice every now amd then 😀
Saw you both lovely couple at EmQuartier’s Starbucks this afternoon but I did not go over to say hello as I am shy. Keep up the great work with your videos 😉
That's so lovely, hehe! Next time come say hello, it's always lovely to meet new people 😊
Starbucks!? Blasphemy. So much better coffee in Thailand including local roasted beans.
Haha yeah we usually make a point to try cute local places, but it was nice to get a taste of “home” with their Christmas drinks!
Dylan can really handle spice well. He put so much crushed rep pepper flakes on the pad thai 😂. I saw the video where you visited Mark Wiens restaurant and ordered the spiciest level dish😮. I love your channel. No gimmicks, no clickbait, no drama. Just two people having fun and enjoying each others company. I’m glad I found your channel. I’m watching all your videos from oldest to newest. Adriana is always smiling which translates perfectly on camera.
Question for you both, do you have plans to visit Latin America and if so what country are you thinking of visiting first? I’m from Venezuela but I’ve been in NYC for over 20 yrs now and have traveled extensively through the Caribbean, South America and Mexico. Great food and even greater beaches and weather at consumer friendly prices. I think Dylan would have no problem handling Mexican spice.
You guys are making me hungry. They look absolutely delicious. I’m definitely going to try Thipsami I’ve seen a few bloggers go there . Thanks for sharing your experience.
It was really delicious! (Both of them 😍) thank you for watching! 🤗
ขอบคุณนะที่คุณชอบอาหารไทยและช่วยแนะนำให้เพื่อนๆทั่วโลกรู้จักประเทศไทย ขอบคุณมากๆค่ะ
Thank you so much for watching kha! 🙏🏼🇹🇭
We decided to try to make it ourselves tonight, thank you for sharing and giving us the idea. yum!
How did it go?
6:25 Wow! Look at that! Pad Thai is one of the most favorite Thai food of many of my friends from another countries. My relative from Sweden used to ask me to cook Pad Thai for her once. I didn't know if it's good or not because she just gave me a little smile after her first bite.
555
I'm sure she loved it!
On Thai street food, you could tell the owner to make it "PI-SED", which means extra large. They will probably charge you 10-15 bahts more, with larger portion.
Oh okay! Good idea! Thank you so much 🤗🤗
i’m literally addicted to ur channel!!!
Yay!! Thank you sooo much 😍🤗🤗
Gosh……I definitely will be having some of that - the 2nd Pad Thai place that is!! You two are awesome 🤩 Thanks once again for another fabulous vlog 😘
It was SO delicious 😍 Thanks so much for watching & for the lovely comment, as always 🤗
Loved the video, do you mind making a video special for all the food one must try while visiting Thailand? i have seen some of the recommendations on most of your vlogs but it would be great if its all under one video. Thanks and enjoy Thailand.
Thanks so much 🤗🙏🏼 Thank you for the recommendation! We will have a little think about it ☺️
I want you guys to know that I love watching you guys very much because of your pleasant personality. You two are very respectful to the culture and everything. Hope to bump into you guys one day. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment 🙏
Great video. Food looks gorgeous. Only recently discovered you. Love your videos. Alread subscribed. Thanks🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much 😍🙏🏼
LOVE your food vids❤️❤️
Sawasdee Pad Thai looks delicious🇹🇭💞🇭🇲🙏
Thank you for every nice VDOs reaction. I'm Thai. I've never eaten Thip Samai PadThai coz of the high price, and neither most of Thai people, I think. Anyway, it's up to personal satisfaction and willingness to pay. For me, PadThai in general is tasty. Hope both of you enjoy trying many of Thai food.
It was very tasty but you can find amazing affordable pad Thai on the street - it was just a fun experience!
Hi Adriana and Dylan. Great comparison video. The Thipsamai Restaurant looked like a cool place. Thank You. 🙏👍
Thanks Paul! Really cool place actually, didn't expect it at all 😂
Finally making it to BKK in 2 weeks after 2 weeks. i will not be too shy not to say hello if I bump into you two amazing people... thanks for the great videos...they have kept me sane over the past 2 years...
Thank you so much! Ah that’s so awesome - super happy to hear it! Have an amazing trip over 😍🙏🏼🇹🇭
I'm glad the first Pad Thai was rated really well! I stumbled across that place years ago and thought it was exceptional 👌. I hope to see some vlogs from Vietnam soon 😉
Super delicious! We would love to go go Vietnam soon! 😍🤗
ขอให้อร่อยกับอาหารไทยนะครับ🇹🇭💖💕💗💓💝💘💯🙏🙏🙏
😍🙏🏼❤️
I wanted to jump through the screen and eat that second pad pad thai. It looked amazing 🤗💞
Your thumbnails have really improved, well done guys
Thank you so much 😍🤗
I haven't try Thipsamai before. It looks good. The most expensive one I eaten was at BTS Saphan Taksin name Baan Pad Thai. Also a famous one at that area. Just average, the noodle came out abit wet. Not "fried" enough 😅
How much was it?
@@2Passports1Dream price starts from THB190 to 1800😄😄the 1800 is for 2 persons. It came with a jumbo Mud crab. Normal dish cost around THB300.
Woah that’s costly 😅
To be fair.. pad Thai should b compared street vendor in town n village home cook stand...u be surprised by the village type which used pork oil to fry... it's smoother n tastier..as for those high end type. It's not typical Thai food as they have add on to make looks nice n the flavor is totally different.. that my opinion..
Yes you’re definitely right but it was still soo nice to try 😍😍
Pad Thai looks yummy! Thai’s use spoon and fork normally… spoon primary with the fork secondary, so reverse of us westerners, it then again we don’t use spoon and fork together normally. Chopsticks for soupy noodles.
Enjoyed binging on your videos. Definitely miss Thailand.
We love using the spoon primarily (it somehow makes more sense) but wow we struggle to eat noodles with a spoon - we’ve resorted to fork 😂 Thank you for watching!
ขอบคุณมากครับ ที่มารีวิวแทบทุกอย่างที่มาไทย ขอให้มีความสุขนะครับ
Thank you so much kha 😍🙏🏼🇹🇭
ขอบคุณครับ อยากลองไปกินดูบ้างครับ
Yes so delicious 😍
Great vid!!! But now I am craving Pad Thai lol
Both of these were really good! You can never go wrong with a pad thai
If you love Pad Thai,I recommend "ผัดไทยครบรสเวียงบัว" at Chiang Mai. This restaurant is my favourite Pad Thai restaurant. Price about 30-60 bath
Thank you very much for the recommendation 😍🙏🏼🇹🇭
every dish looks yummy
Thanks for this wonderful video. Lovely.
Earlier when u asked us to figure out what's d video about, it crosses my mind about cost n quality of d street food in Bangkok, but I don't want to guess too much.
Smart! It was such a fun video to film 😍 Thank you for watching!
@@2Passports1Dream Thanks again for d wonderful video. 😀
Omg I am really missing international travel and all the street food you have been showing us. Thanks for the comparison. But in western Australia the expensive Pad Thai comes out at about 812 baht so the one you ate with all that seafood looks amazing to me
It was absolutely amazing! Here is obviously expensive in comparison but it’s still so much more affordable than other countries! So delicious 😍
@@2Passports1Dream and when we travel we are always budget conscious and in truth we would not buy Pad Thai here when I can cook it myself at a fraction of the price. Even though I can't quite get the char on the noodles on a home Wok like they do in the Thailand
Adriana, not heard of Pad Thai, “ Your living under a rock” too funny 😂😂
Hehehe it’s such a delicious dish that everyone should eat 😍🤗
Thank you very much from Thailand
Thank you kha 🤗🙏🏼🇹🇭
ไม่รู้ชื่อ คนทำวีดีโอ แต่ น่ารักมากครับ แต่ค่อนข้างพูดเร็วไปนิด แต่ชอบดู ครับ
Thank you very much for watching 😍🙏🏼✨
It seems that you guys have been in Thailand for a long time. and began to like to eat spicy I wish you a happy trip to Thailand from Thai people.
We love it so much here 😍🇹🇭 Thank you very much kha 🙏🏼
I suggest one of the oldest Pad Thai trolley in Thailand called Pad Thai Kikuya. They are located in front of Kikuya fabric store on Ratchawong road near Chinatown and open in the evening only. Although they have 2nd branch open in the middle of Chinatown most locals still choose to go to this original location instead. The food presentation doesn't look appetizing but the taste is phenomenal.
Oh cool! That sounds really nice 😍🤗 Thank you for the suggestion 🙏🏼✨
Hi Guys , I love to watch your videos you are cute couple , i am a Thai in Australia, I just had to make a comment on your pad thai video, Thai people don’t eat with chopsticks, if the restaurant or vendor gives you chopsticks they must be Chinese 🤔…. Or they think you are Chinese 😁
Hehehe they probably don’t think we are Chinese 😅 we asked for them in the first place! We didn’t realise until we got comments on this video that even noodle dishes are eaten with fork and spoon - we find that so difficult! As we understand it the fork does not go in the mouth here… but we can’t get the noodles onto the spoon 😂😅
Nice video thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching 😍🤗
ผัดไทประตูผี ทิพย์สมัย เป็นร้านเก่าแก่ แพง ! มาแต่ไหนแต่ไร แต่ก็ ok นะค่ะ 🤣🤣
enjoy your s eat 😂😂😂❤️❤️ น่ารักทั้งคู่ค่ะ
Thank you! 🙏
Omg, I had the cheap pad thai from am a week ago. I ordered it from grab. You guys just showed me where I got my food from. Lol. Great video
Haha that’s so fun!! It’s always a bit of a guessing game with grab 😂 it’s always delicious though!
Favorite people like this
Thank you!! 💖
PadThai, hmmmmm.. so yummie, the expensive one, crabmeat, shrimps, mango and squid as extra is worth 400 bath for that one time. And we do not forget the Orange juice Dylan 😉
So anyhow, thanks for sharing 🙏 and as always, C Ya in the next one guys 🙌
The expensive one was fantastic!!! Apparently this place is well known for their delicious orange juice 😂 it all makes sense now! It was delicious 😍🍊 Thank you for your lovely comment, as always!
กินเผ็ดมาก ฉันเป็นคนไทยยังไม่สามารถกินเผ็ดได้เท่าคุณเลย สุดยอด!!!
Haha thank you 😍 we love spicy 🌶🔥
Thipsamai = worth it for real. The orange juice is also good.
The orange juice was amazing 😍🍊
✔ Thank You for you guys to show many side of Bangkok
I am a big fan of you 👍
Thank You
🤗🇹🇭🙏🏼 thank you very much
Couple on a pad thai mission!!!!
Mission accomplished 😍
Really good idea to compare dishes like this. Padthai is normally eaten with spoon and fork though...Thai people only eat thing in bowls with chopsticks as a "help" for the spoon.
Now we know! We usually finish the dish with knife and spoon but mainly use chopstick 😋
ดีใจมากๆที่ชอบอาหารไทย มีโอกาสและเวลาลองชิมไปเรื่อยๆ ลิ้นรับรสของคนเราไม่เหมือนกัน พรุ่งนี้ลอยกระทงครับ
Thank you! We love thai food
ขอบคุณครับที่ชอบไทยแลนด์
You know Raan Jay Fai is just a couple of shops up from Thip Samai. Its a Michelin starred place . The lady chef is quite famous for her goggles. When we went to Thailand last time it was closed . Luckily Thip Samai was right there.
Yes we’ve heard of her! So many people have gone there to film, we wanted to try sometbing different! She’s not well known for her pad Thai as much as thip Samai!
ฉันชอบการนำเสนอของช่องยูทูปคุณ
Thank you so much!
Love Shrimp & Crab. Yummy
Great video. I think the time you added all the seafood to the meals, for sure the price will go up. But I am not sure if they substitute the meat to chicken or pork the dish price will drop 50-60% 🤷♂️. We enjoyed your video thank you so much.
Yea I'm sure it would drop, too! Still worth a try once 😋
@@2Passports1Dream yes 💯 I would order seafood than anything else. It’s always delicious 🤤 😂
Welcome to Thailand 🇹🇭 🙏
The best Thai food and not only that. Very good video separate from the monothematic ones.
Thank you for the comment. Trying to make slightly different videos to the norm 😋
@@2Passports1Dream You are doing very well and will be rewarded-congratulations.
🤗🙏🏼✨
The trick with Thipsamai is that you can not *legally* charge different prices for Thais and foreigners. You may be recommended the "giant prawns", and that is the key; the regular size taste the same, and are closer to 'local' pricing; go ahead and get the big boys, it is only a few bucks...
Yeah so true - he didn’t even try to upsell us hehe it was already our choice to get that one 😍
You can go over the top of the basic pad thai as far as you want as long as core of it still not crumbled down, but I will judge pad thai with quality and consistency of noodle (Sen-Jan is preferred), overall taste of sauce, freshness of ingredients like oil/ egg/ lime / beansprout / dried shrimp, especially crushed peanut which need to be really freshly done on same day to get full aroma (or you may have to risk with aflatoxin too).
So true!! You can add loads of things but the base needs to be nailed down 😍😍
i see some whinging about your length of video. as a long time viewer, i love watching longer version. my take would be: please don't go any shorter. haha - but no pressure guys, don't let YT rule your head. enjoy the holiday more. time off from camera is a must too. set a right balance so you don't over pressure yourselves.
Haha yes we cant please everyone. But most of our videos aren’t cut down or made longer for no reason. That’s just how long they are because there’s a fine line between ‘leaving things in’ and the video being boring or slow paced. And at the end of the day, if a video doesn’t get a good view duration, it won’t be shown to as many people. And that’s what we want for our Channel growth 😊
ว้าวๆน่าอร่อยมากค่ะ👍❤🇹🇭
Thank you,Finally I have the adress of Thipsamai!😋
Haha!! There are loads of them but this one seems to be one of the classics 😍
Noticed the Welsh accent a mile off! Well done both, good video! Hope you are enjoying Thailand.
Haha awesome! 🏴 Thanks so much 🤗✨
อยากให้คุณทั้ง2ลองทานอาหานอิสานบ้างครับ..รับรองว่าคุณจะมีรสสัมพัสลิ้นอีกแบบแน่นอนครับ..👍👍👍
We would love to try that at some point! 😍🤗
If you like Pad Thai, you ought to get it from places that make Hoi Tod or seafood pancakes. They have massive pan for frying up pancake batter with egg and seafood. They’re perfect for making Pad Thai. Try Hoi Tod Chaw Lae and let us see your review. Enjoy!
Ohhh, that sounds delicious!!
I have my favourite Pad-Thai resturant at Tha-Chalom it just 35 bath but the test very good. If you have time you should try. The famous train market Maklong (Mahachai). Then take the boat from Market to Tha-Chalom (2 bath for fare) at Tha-Chalom waterfront just walk straight aroun 500 metr. you will see Deang Pad-Thai in the right hand side.
Oh wow sounds lovely! If we are ever in that area we will make sure to check it out! 😍
Thank you very much I'm fom Thailand
💕
What an adorable snack! I have one dream
😊
I spend about that much at an average run-of-the-mill Thai restaurant in America. Lunch portions run 350 baht while dinner portions are 400 baht...which is why I rarely eat Pad Thai when I eat at a Thai restaurant in Phoenix. I prefer to spend 60 baht in Thailand...!
Yea I know we said the same. 400 baht here is super expensive but wouldn't be able to get that price in the UK for a standard one
Thank you 💞😋🙏
เผ็ด.เปรี้ยว..เค็ม..หวาน..แล้วเราชอบ...👍👍👍
We do too!! 😊🙏
When all flavors meet. It is called
"U-ma-mi". Lol
Thipsamai is also a controversial among Thai people. Some said the dish is not so delicious and overprice. But for me as a Thai person, Thipsamai's padthai is the most delicious pad thai I've ever eaten (but of course it still overprice)
We thought it was great!
ผมเป็นคนไทยครับ ขอบคุณที่คุณชอบเมืองไทย
Thank you 💖🙏
I love padthai woonsen around 35-40 baht if have a prawn with That's be good
Tipsamai really good pad Thai and more then 80 years old. 😻
Yea. I like itb
The "expensive" pad thai is regular price in the west, and 10x better. Btw, if you hold the chopsticks up higher, you'll have more leverage and control. And eating with spoon and fork (instead of chopsticks) is normal in Thailand.
Thank you! Ah yes we will try to get better with the chopsticks - although we didn’t realise that even noodle dishes are usually eaten with fork and knife - we find that even more difficult haha!
Enjoy Thai food!!
Pad Thai is definitely less messy with chopsticks imo. With a fork and spoon it goes EVERYWHERE
So true!!! 😅😂 apparently it’s not the thai way but it’s just so much easier 😅
Thipsamai is the best pad thai for me. I had one at the Icon Siam and the price there was 250thb.
It was delicious! Wow, 250thb just for a regular one?
Yummmmy pad thai. Gd challenge. Looks like you guys already have the pallate for spicy food like an asian. I dont think you would enjoy yr sunday roast again😁
Hahaha we’d have to cover the Sunday roast in chili oil 😂🌶
Thais don’t typically use chopsticks. They primarily use a fork and spoon with the fork used to load the spoon which is the primary tool to get food to the mouth. That’s the Thai way.
Ah yes we have tried to learn this too! It’s getting easier and the spoon makes a lot more sense 😍🤗
ผัดไทยอร่อยมากครับ
carb meat is expensive...prawns overcooked....the shape of a good cooked prawn may be like a C if is like a O,IS OVERCOOCK......but was tastyyyyy!.....nice video
It was still VERY tasty! 😍🍤
The target main customer for first restaurant is Thai customers. They made original Pad Thai and this price for Thai people can eat everyday.
I see. Well it was delicious!
I gives a thumbs up since you know Lanna style 🤣
Thanks to my grandpa asian gene's, i looooove coriander 😅 hope to See you in bangkok to thank you for your amazing work here ☺ you doing well guys ❤
Haha you’re lucky!! We wish we liked it (it’s so healthy!) thank you so much! 😍🙏🏼🤗
many food and delicious, cheap price. Wang Lang Market near Chao Phraya River. near Siriraj Hospital
Okay great! Thank you very much 😍🙏🏼
In America we are to tip 20% to our servers (well it’s not mandatory but I always tip when we go out to eat) is it the same in Thailand / Sweden?
You are not required to tip in thailand or Sweden. We do sometimes though for good service
It is not require in Thailand
But I tip all the nice and good workers
▶ Good taxi driver , door man
▶ Good street food merchant
..... etc
But some restaurant in Thailand already added tip to your bill .... watch out for that ❌ and I never go back again. This is wrong
If they wanna add tip they must let us know ahead.
Many restaurant not have good food and poor services but add tip to the bill ... NOT RIGHT ...!!!
You're so good at eating spicy, I give up.
Always have to have a little spice! haha
Tried both places and I would give them the same rating too. For the cheap place just order 2 so the portion will be just right.
Hehe that’s so fun! Glad you agree 🥰 oh yea 2 portions would be perfect!
Well, you make me so hungry, I,m about to have my vegemite on toast. with a cup of tea. Thanks to the pandemic.
That still sounds tasty! 🤗 Hopefully you can get some virtual enjoyment of the pad thai from afar! 😍
