That last pond is beautiful and a good selection of ranchus
Love goldfish ponds... have not long finished putting together my goldfish pond, using an enamel bath, adding a nature orientated waterfall with twists and turns oxygenating the water before falling into a small pond which overflows into the bath... have built a natural rock wall at the side/front of the bath, some interesting weathered wood around the top edges of the bath, with some 'old man's beard, and with an arched lichen covered branch as a bridge on the diagonal of the bath, all planted out around the bath except for the side/front... am about to buy some underwater plants for the pond, of which I see some beauties in your viewers footage... I do have two types of pond edge plants, in pots hooked over the edge of the bath with bases in the water, black leaf Taro and a banded striped, cream and green tall grassy type plant... Have had problems with fish disappearing, probably a crow, so to remedy, I bought some tablecloth weights (sinkers would suffice), and tied fishing line to the weights and criss crossed them over the lichen covered branch that acts as a bridge on the diagonal of the bath, complete with 'air plants', and the weights hang down over the edge of the bath, thus far, seems to have worked... And of course, have aerating bubbles, filter and good sized pebbles and a few largish green rocks in the base of the bath... Have heard of using clay (clay kitty litter) to help reduce nitrates and nitrites, do You have a view on using clay as the base in the pond??? What bases or plenums does everyone use in their ponds??? Atm I just have the good sized smooth pebbles... And yes please, more pond videos...
Enjoyed that 😊
How do they do during the winter?

Nice bro but how will you get ride unwanted worms ..
What sort of worms? Most natural ponds private healthy invertebrate populations which are great for your fancy goldfish
Anchorworms,in my pond my lion head gold fish recently affected by these.can u tell me the solution??
For anchor worms a good de wormer is best. I have a video on treating anchor worms in the back to basics series playlist
Hi, what do these people do during winters? I thought fancy goldfish needed warm water year round and cannot survive UK winter?
This pond is based in california. But japanese top view ranchu can survive the UK climate year round 😁
@@AquaticElements Hi, I currently have a short tail Ryukin and 2 Oranda in my outdoor pond in the South West UK. Is there a minimum temp I can heat the pond but also allows the fish to hibernate during winter? Thanks.
@smeshfactory3992 personally, I wouldn't go lower than 10 degrees, but many hobbyists have had success down to 6-8 degrees. 10-12 degrees is a good safety net, in my opinion.
@@AquaticElements Hi mate, I just successfully finished installing my Blagdon outdoor power switch box and noticed that the heater I bought for my pond only goes down to a minimum of 15*C, is that too high for the fancy goldfish to hibernate during the UK winter?
That will be absolutely fine for them 😁
