I feel so validated. I’ve dealt with PCOS my whole life and made me infertile, obese, facial hair, type 2 diabetes etc.. So, I’m more motivated than ever now.
Same here! I am getting my first prescription soon and I’m hoping it helps. I took saxcenda in the past and it actually helped me get pregnant with my son after 6 years of infertility. I’m not trying for another child at this point but I hope it can help others with their weight induced infertility as a result of pcos
Me too!!! My insurance won't cover any of the glp-1s and I'm so sad! I'm considering compounded meds if I can find some affordable options near me. Congrats on your success!! - how so inspiring and hopeful for many of us!
@@FlippinJunkie I am sorry that you are having issues with your insurance. I am keeping my fingers crossed that my insurance will still cover me. But I am a type 2 diabetic and I am still in that range but just barely,
@@slbrooks6516 It's so frustrating- I hope your insurance keeps you covered- I can imagine the anxiety of thinking it might be dropped! I hope you have an amazing and joyful journey!
I'm a 42 year old man with obesity and sleep apnea, but I'm not diabetic. So Tricare wants me to go through this long list of other drugs before I can try a glp 1 medication. Luckily my primary care doctor prescribed compounded semaglutide that i get from a pharmacy here in Fort Worth.
I have PCOS; diagnosed in my late 20’s early 30’s. I had sleep apnea, was pre-diabetic, obesity and high blood pressure. No longer pre-diabetic and no more sleep apnea after loosing 65 lbs and changing my life style
🐢 Shared your PCOS video and study with my sister-in-law. She's on the fence about starting Zepbound, I think after she sees the information you shared she'll be ready to start!
I was diagnosed with PCOS over 10 years ago and high blood pressure a year ago. I have been yo-yo dieting but ANY diet felt like I was starving. I'm on week 5 of ZepBound and eating has been so much easier in making better choices. I don't have weeks-long sugar cravings and feel fuller much sooner. I'm on track to lose 20 pounds by early October. My doctor is an internal medicine specialist so he's constantly checking my blood work and I'm actually looking forward to my follow-up next month for once. I know my story is anecdotal, but it's following this study. I wish you SIL the best and encourage her to go over her concerns with her doctor so she can make the best choice for her health.
I did a 10 min stretching and 15 min mile. I thank you for this info. I've had PCOS all my life but not diagnoed till like I was 20. I have had so many issues with it and weight gain but Mounjaro has really helped me so much! Thank God! Down 60 pounds in 14 months. I'm a 🐢 loser :)
🐢 I was diagnosed with PCOS in my mid 20s and was hit with fertility issues and weight gain. Now at 51 I also have sleep apnea and high blood pressure and was obese. So thankful for Zepbound, I finally feel normal and I am close to goal.
But you aren't normal → you are forcing your body to behave in ways it normally wouldn't. In other words, as soon as you stop using the drugs, ypur body is going to go back to how it was. You have to change your diet and life-style if you want real, permanent changes. Eat less than 20g carbs per day for permanent, sustainable weight loss with no negative side effects. Happy to explain more or answer questions or address concerns. If you can't accept what I am saying now, hopefully you will remember it when you've regained the weight you are losing now. Drugs are not the way.
🐢🐢I definitely want to read this more. I was diagnosed with PCOS over 10 years ago and this feels very validating in what I have experienced in trying to adhere to restrictive diet changes. Personally, I feel like PCOS is more of an endocrine issue/disorder versus just a fertility issue as it helps account for all of the issues/risks with PCOS. I've also had better luck with doctors as they monitor me better overall. I've been on ZepBound now for 5 weeks and the drop in cravings has been insane. I definitely want to share this with my doc and how I'm improving. Thank you for highlighting this!
🐢💜thank you! I love that you are doing a daily show. I debate all day to “save” you for the gym or commute as I want it to last! At gym bike and upped a tension level woop woop!
🐢 ❤ Girl thank you soooo much for this video! I emailed you a while back about doing one for PCOS and I knew you would come through! I've struggled with my weight my entire life due to PCOS and I could literally cry (and have!) now that I've finally found something that has given me some relief and the energy and brain functionality to exercise and eat nutritiously. Game changer! Thanks again for this video, love ya girl! ❤
🐢 Thank you for finding this evidence based PCOS info!! I have a strong family history of PCOS. This makes so much sense why GLP-1 works for me and realizing I will take GLP-1 for the rest of my life! I am sharing this with my family! ❤ You're the best! ❤

Question your doctor about 26:36 have PCOS and had sky high blood pressure. Been on Mounjaro for 4 months, lost 30lbs and now my blood pressure is normal. I track my blood pressure at home with a cheap monitor I bought on Amazon (same one my Dr uses). Do NOT take medication unless you actually need it.
🐢 🐢 🐇 🐢 🐢 I’m 63 now, so not sure if PCOS is still an issue, but based on the typical symptoms, I’m 99.9% sure that I’ve had it. Thanks to MJ, I’ve adhered to the therapeutic lifestyle intervention for 6 months now, despite PCOS and T2D. That news is SO validating! Truly life changing! You’re right… 😮No wonder!! My workout today is a 1200 yd swim after work. I have a bad head cold, so please pray that I don’t drown (because I can’t breathe!!)! 🤣 🏊♀️
🐢🐢🐢 I have PCOS, and my old PCP put me on Metformin for it in January...I only lost 7 pounds, and gained back 3. It did nothing to help the other symptoms, like the facial hair. One more reason to love GLPs! I have so many reasons now to take one...if only I can get approved!
🐢 Elizabeth have you seen any research on if a glp1 deficiency is hereditary? My mom and I both have taken glp1 medication. I’d love to see a video on that!

🐢 I worked out fue 30 minutes even though I am exhausted since yesterday was shot day. My sister has pcos and tried for years to lose weight and couldn't, thankfully her insurance covers wegovy and she is now losing weight.
I just want to say as someone who was recently diagnosed with PCOS I thought for the longest time that maybe I didn’t have it because I didn’t have the hair growing in unwanted places, but I do have cystic acne under my chin so the area between my chin and neck. This accompanied by a lifetime of irregular periods, infertility to the point of even a miscarriage and cysts on my ovaries.. so just for anyone who didn’t know this. It may seem like all of the symptoms, and it may seem that it would be obvious to someone at this point but to me, I had no idea. No Dr. said anything! Until recently and I’ll be 30 next month and symptoms just started within the past few years after I got off birth control is when I realized, and when the symptoms started as birth control can keep them at bay. Hope this helps.🐢
🐢❤ We love you! Thank you! Yes,I had PCOS so do both daughters. One is trying to get a glp-1 meds both struggle with weight. I weigh in morning im on 10mg appetite has bern less using arm area to inject. Mu husband does it for me he presses harder but I hope it helps!❤
🐢This medication is so life changing in so many ways. Thank you for sharing these studies. I know people who’ve dealt with PCOS and all the crazy issues it can cause. This is great information. I’m working on keeping my head down and keep going with my exercise and food routine while allowing myself to go out to dinner with friends and just live. That should be such a big feat, but it is!
My doctor is so ignorant of the implications of PCOS it’s shocking. She just tells me to diet & exercise (like this hasn’t occurred to me 🙄). Refused at first to even put me on Metformin. I put myself on Mounjaro, am no longer obese and am healthy. A lot of doctors are very out of touch.
