Hi Techy Patshala, I’m reaching out to share my experience with the green line issue on my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. After a system update, a green line appeared on my phone's display, even though it had no prior physical damage. When I approached the Samsung service center, they informed me that since my device is out of warranty, I’d need to pay ₹20,000 for a display replacement. I’ve seen Samsung offering free repairs for similar issues on newer models, but unfortunately, there’s no such provision for my device. Despite emailing customer support and even receiving a response from Samsung India on Twitter asking for details, there’s been no resolution so far. It’s frustrating as this seems like a widespread issue caused by their update, and I believe Samsung should take responsibility for all affected devices, not just selected models. At Qatar they lied to us saying that there is global warranty but in india when we checked there isn't. To all those ppl saying samsung is better I have a 10 year old iPad still in usable condition. So apple is always better
I faced the same pink line issue in samsung m52 device and samsung asked me to pay 7k for the display replacement even after their their service centre marked that there is no physical damage in the job sheet...... meanwhile samsung is providing free repair to their S series and ignoring others series. Worst experience with samsung

I Recently Got a Green Line Issue in xiaoni 11T Pro.. Service centres tell me that we don't get any notifications about repairing this phone and if your warranty is expired then you have to pay 10k for the screen... And Now My phone has more than 30 lines

6:50 exactly my point. When you look at the updates it shows oxygen OS. But when you do some research you will get to know that the internal files of the OS says it's colour OS. This is the same reason for motherboard dead issue.
@harshnagar3921 not the text but the optimisation. In old OnePlus phones the motherboard was manufactured by the OnePlus itself. They had idea about what it can handle but oppo might not have that info. Phone manufacturers could even tweak the amount of power your processor draws from the battery. I'm not saying strictly that this is the only reason. I'm just speculating that this might be the reason. I had read somewhere about something called kernel mismatch. Kindly search about it it will clear your doubts.
I have a OnePlus 8. I got 3 green lines on my screen. This phone had some frame damage , when I acquired for the free screen replacement, they also changed the frame too, I really liked the service as well
My Samsung A53 also got motherboard issue. I updated it at night while sleeping and in the morning the phone was dead . Then i visited the service centre they told me that it will ₹13000 to repair its motherboard and your data will also be erased. At first i was shocked that even the Samsung brand got this issue.😅

I got my first green line on my S22 Plus on October 30th, and the 2nd one on November 14th. Samsung doesn't provide free replacement as well for S22 & S22 Plus. They provide free replacement for S22 Ultra only. For S22 plus new display cost is around 13k.

Brother @TechyPathshala @ 12:20 wanted to clarify that ONEPLUS 12 SERIES & 13 SERIES might NEVER have GREENLINES issue. Coz these phones equipped with display's made by BOE, not Samsung, hence the display's made by Samsung (S.AMOLED) had issues with connector, The faulty updates trigger the green line which destroyed the displays'. How can we be sure? I'm 90% sure that this is the exact reason, coz as per my research, every phones which got greenline issues is been made by Samsung. Thanks!
⚠️Still I suggest anyone not to update software in their OnePlus phones coz after updating software, the load on IC increases, hence it leads to motherboard dead issue.

Bhai mai oneplus 8T use kar raha hu aur mai 6 saal se use kar raha hu aur 45 baar se jyada screen replace karwa chuka hu. Free of cost Patna, Bihar, Infotel service centre me.
The contrast, the color accuracy and the quality are far superior on OLED than LCD. Once you go to oled, theres no coming back cause every other display type feels like crap.

Let’s set aside the green line issue for now, but what about the motherboard being dead? If it’s a motherboard issue, the repair cost could range from ₹35,000 to ₹40,000. Xiaomi never does cost cutting in displays, they provide the best displays in every segment. But they do cost cutting in camera department of budget phones. 😅
Bro I was the first person during COVID to purchase OnePlus 8 pro and then to receive green line after update and specifically after warranty. Then after 4 months of continuous calling they ended up changing the display (reason for so long was because my phone had a 0.1mm scratch )😂 but after repair i didnt have to pay anything but i had to send it to Delhi to repair via servify but then I sold it because it started to lag and heat and the backpanel used to come out and purchased realme gt 2 pro but sadly just like OnePlus after 1 year of warranty the next month I got a green line. Thankfully realme gave me a free screen replacement without any hesitation n now it's 5 months no issue again And one suggestion and tip that was not inthis video was update. Kindly do not update your phones. Use them after purchase. If you feel any software issue then only do a update and then use again Simply do not update And I'm from GOA State

I am from Bhubaneswar.. I took my device to One service centre at Kolkata and they got the display replaced for free . My device OnePlus 10 pro is 2 yrs old device. Good service from OnePlus

most argue that the reason behind green/pink issue are: 1. Thinner bezels which causes less physical integrity and display connector being prone to physical damages. 2. Actual physical damages 😅. 3. Higher temperature exposure. 4. Irregular voltage supply after a software update. 5. Rush software update. 6. Faulty display from OEM. Most of us prob will agree with point no.5😅

Nice to know they changed display without any bill and box,my brother also got green line in Oneplus 8 pro he got new 11r after paying 1000rs, and also got his old Oneplus 6 also got green line display changed to new display without bill and box for free , so its safe to say they are giving amazing service other brand's are not much good in giving good service in case of green line issues

Realme GT2 Pro also having green line issue. They do not have display available to repair and asking to wait till January. If do not want to wait they are giving 10,000 rupees voucher for a phone worth 45000 rupees. Still living with green line thinking what to do.
I don't like using lower clocked phones. I suggest phones only with 3 ghz and above. Mine is a bit old but even after 3 yrs still at the best , realme x7 max
Don’t be afraid brother, it’s an excellent device, there are no cases of green lines in oneplus 12 and it only happens in 1 out of 100 phones. Even if you get them, oneplus gives free display replacement for that. Oneplus has the most fluid UI experience compared to any other phone, even apple.

First own the oneplus flagships and then talk about their performances. i'm using Mi 11X since 3 years, i didn't get any green line issue. even doing a hardcore gaming. i used to play bgmi tournaments, this phone is actually best flagship killer. you can compare this one with oneplus 9R. snapdragon 865 in oneplus 9R and Snapdragon 870 in Mi 11X.

I faced 1 pink line issue on my OnePlus 9 But the service centre repaired my phone in 2 hours without any charges. New display + new frame and new buttons. City - Hanumangarh Rajasthan
I got green line on my OnePlus 8T, I got it checked in authorised service centre but they denied saying "we are not able to read barcode on display" hence they rejected my service request after keeping phon two days. Then I spoke to one plus service centre,they suggested to opt for pickup and drop service, and my phone sent to Delhi and display changed.
The alert slider got stuck in my OnePlus 11r They don't even have spare parts in their service centre i told them that my Phone is very important for my day to day activities as. Sometimes i need to check office mails and stuff and at first they denied my extended warranty later after confirmation from customer care they said they will service my phone but won't be done at least for 1 week also I have to leave my phone for 1 week I didn't expect this type of service from OnePlus And I am stuck with a broken alert slider which does not move at all and have to live with it until OnePlus decides they will send spare parts to the service centre I am just surprised they don't even know how to check imei number of an OnePlus phone
I previously had a OnePlus 10T That too I had a display issue. If I used the phone for too long in the Ghost image it would get sticky on the display The company refused to repair this problem so I would sell that phone
faced same issue but they said that after opening your phone the display no doesn't matches your IMEI no. so the company will not be providing any service. they agreed it to be company's defect but recommended only to get a new display costing 14k

If you are also facing the same issue and the company refuses to replace part or asking for money in warranty if it's not your fault then one should go for consumer court because more than you they care for their reputation so maybe you get an offer for out of the court settlement...

Thats the reason when i got green line in my moto g52 i have got free replacement of screen and exchanged that phone with samsung LCD phone works far better imo since LCD screens will face no green lines
I have like 15 amoled phones in my family... Apple samsung OnePlus and others... I keep them on latest software... Never had green line issue in any of them. I either got lucky or there's some handling and durability factor.
I also got a green line issue on my oneplus 8T device. I had to submit my device to oneplus service centre and after 6 days they returned the phone after replacing the screen and software. I gave the phone after resetting so I don't know if data would have been lost by their work or not. But everything now is working good...just the alert slider function is buggy now.
Hi This green line Basically is a manufacturing defect of most displays Actually this is defect of cof ic bonding tape (dry bonding ) Of cof and this cof ic make. These. Kind of lines Green red. Blue I know this because I do these kind. Of. Repair
i bought a moto g52 last year on may and there was not a single issue till September 2023 because i updated my phone and there is not a single moto service centre here where i live

They put budget processor in mid range phones.
Why buy that phone then ? The processor is already mentioned in specs ,you can decide if you want to buy or not.

How a text "color os" can cause dead motherboard...if that was the issue then oppo and realme would've faced the same issue..

I got my first green line on my S22 Plus on October 30th, and the 2nd one on November 14th. Samsung doesn't provide free replacement as well for S22 & S22 Plus. They provide free replacement for S22 Ultra only. For S22 plus new display cost is around 13k.
I have a s20+, s22 ultra, m52 5G, s23 ultra. These all phones got spoiled just after 1 year of use by regular software updates(green lines) and then when I switched to s24 ultra it came defective and I got it from Qatar and when I went to service centre they were like take it back to Qatar for replacement. At Qatar they lied to us saying that there is global warranty but in india when we checked there isn't. To all those ppl saying samsung is better I have a 10 year old iPad still in usable condition.

Brother @TechyPathshala @ 12:20 wanted to clarify that ONEPLUS 12 SERIES & 13 SERIES might NEVER have GREENLINES issue. Coz these phones equipped with display's made by BOE, not Samsung, hence the display's made by Samsung (S.AMOLED) had issues with connector, The faulty updates trigger the green line which destroyed the displays'.
How can we be sure?
I'm 90% sure that this is the exact reason, coz as per my research, every phones which got greenline issues is been made by Samsung.

Bro I was the first person during COVID to purchase OnePlus 8 pro and then to receive green line after update and specifically after warranty. Then after 4 months of continuous calling they ended up changing the display (reason for so long was because my phone had a 0.1mm scratch )😂 but after repair i didnt have to pay anything but i had to send it to Delhi to repair via servify but then I sold it because it started to lag and heat and the backpanel used to come out and purchased realme gt 2 pro but sadly just like OnePlus after 1 year of warranty the next month I got a green line. Thankfully realme gave me a free screen replacement without any hesitation n now it's 5 months no issue again
And one suggestion and tip that was not inthis video was update. Kindly do not update your phones. Use them after purchase. If you feel any software issue then only do a update and then use again

Don’t be afraid brother, it’s an excellent device, there are no cases of green lines in oneplus 12 and it only happens in 1 out of 100 phones. Even if you get them, oneplus gives free display replacement for that. Oneplus has the most fluid UI experience compared to any other phone, even apple.

I got green line on my OnePlus 8T, I got it checked in authorised service centre but they denied saying "we are not able to read barcode on display" hence they rejected my service request after keeping phon two days. Then I spoke to one plus service centre,they suggested to opt for pickup and drop service, and my phone sent to Delhi and display changed.
The alert slider got stuck in my OnePlus 11r They don't even have spare parts in their service centre i told them that my Phone is very important for my day to day activities as. Sometimes i need to check office mails and stuff and at first they denied my extended warranty later after confirmation from customer care they said they will service my phone but won't be done at least for 1 week also I have to leave my phone for 1 week I didn't expect this type of service from OnePlus
And I am stuck with a broken alert slider which does not move at all and have to live with it until OnePlus decides they will send spare parts to the service centre
I am just surprised they don't even know how to check imei number of an OnePlus phone

I have like 15 amoled phones in my family... Apple samsung OnePlus and others... I keep them on latest software... Never had green line issue in any of them. I either got lucky or there's some handling and durability factor.
I also got a green line issue on my oneplus 8T device. I had to submit my device to oneplus service centre and after 6 days they returned the phone after replacing the screen and software. I gave the phone after resetting so I don't know if data would have been lost by their work or not. But everything now is working good...just the alert slider function is buggy now.
