Love your contribution to the world of James Bond. You represent the fans and we love your videos. And Octopusy is my second favourite film.

Was so much fun to attend this preview event and hear first hand from the creatives behind it about the capsule and the decisions / inspirations behind it.
Also, Orlebar Brown’s HQ is such a cool and stunning space!

Nice , Octopussy was the 1st movie i saw at the cinema (Odean Wood Green London...long since gone) Also showing was Jedi & Superman III on the other screens. I remember taking a sneeky peek through the door at one of them, i don't recall which! It was a birthday treat & yesterday was my 50th so i've fond connection to the movie.
Shout out to those in the community also celebrating their Birthdays this weekend.
    Cheers🍸

I appreciate the creativity behind this collection. I love how they captured Bond's colour palette in the tans, creams and navy, as well as hinting at the green from the Colonel Toro disguise and the red from Mischka's shirt that Bond steals as well as his red tie. I appreciate that they did not replicate clothes made by existing brands. I find that OB's collection is very respectful to the film, to the brands that originally costumed the film and to their own brand. I love the birdseye pattern too, but I would have saved that for a Brosnan homage, since he wears a navy birdseye suit in every Bond film.

Very well done, David. Beautiful collection. I ordered the Navy bird’s eye polo. Covert and cool tailoring got me.

Really cool!! Thank you for sharing. It's because of these videos I've paid much more attention to texture on shirts, not just pattern. I personally love the first swim trunks, blue, basket weave look. And of course the 007 shirts are a lot of fun! But I'm so glad in one interview the colors were pointed out. The Russian army green, the ape suit brown. I got it after that. Thanks again David!!

The size of several pieces look like they were fitted for Richard Kiel. I personally would have preferred seeing a more literal homage versus this "inspired" collection.

I was really surprised by this collection. Not only do they capture Moore’s style but Louis Jordan’s (Kamal Khan) as well.

The Octopussy shirt sure is… something 😂😂😂 Surprised they’re not re-releasing the Harrington jacket from OP. That was nice, sadly missed it first time round.

Yeah, I think this collection embraces more of the iconic imagery vs. the outfits seen in the film.

A range of good and questionable designs there. Some of them look like gift wrapping paper? Some of the quilted designs looked more like kitchen towels (I didn't say toilet paper!).
    [Scene 5]
Heathrow Aerodrome felt serene in the early evening autumn sunshine. The dying embers of the suns' harth lit up the red and gold leaves on the trees like a roaring furnace. The estate comprised of a large grassy field, with an observation tower, and several cabins dotted around it. A tent had been set up to co-ordinate wartime travel, with several military personnel waiting around for the flight to Egypt. Of the civilians, a dotty middle-aged woman was complaining to one of the porters about her luggage being mishandled. The rest of the oddball passengers were to be found inside a small cabin, which passed for the waiting lounge. Bond loped his way over to a woman serving barely lukewarm week-old coffee grinds; no milk or sugar was seen or spoken about; and sat himself down next to a portly man with a copy of last week's London Times. "How do you do?" My name is Ian... erm... Bond - Ian Bond." "How do you do Ian?, I'm James Holland. May I ask?, what are your thoughts on the war?". "Relatively speaking, we're doing all we can." "Quite so. I hear Tito has taken power in Yugoslavia." Bond nods. Holland takes a sip of 'tea': "What kind of work do you do Mr Bond? ...you don't seem to be dressed in a military fashion?" "Oh, I'm a courier. I carry expensive packages, like diamonds and bullion, and that sort of thing." "That's interesting you say that, because I happen to know that the Nazis are selling off all of their gold in order to keep the war effort going. One bar has found its way to my contact in Alexandria, and I'm going over there to have a look." Bond can't believe the co-incidence. Is this pure intelligence, or pure Tomfoolery? "Nazi Gold you say? I'd very much like to see that..." Hollands eyes light up: "It would only take a day or two, if you can spare it?". Bond smiles: "Would you mind.. if I accompany you?, just to observe, mind you??" Holland hesitates: "How do I know you're not a Nazi spy?". "Do I look like a Nazi spy?". "I don't know. Do you speak German?". "Nein!, but I can speak Arabic." "Oh Good-O!!, I'm on the look-out for a translator. What is the Arabic word for beer?" "Jee-atan". The two men shake hands warmly, just as an old twin-engine mainly wooden aeroplane lands outside on the strip. "Tally-ho old chap". [Video Game Version: Bond sneakily infiltrates the air base and questions the passengers for clues. Special points for carrying the woman's luggage. The Name's.. Bond game card.]

A missed opportunity for a female dressing gown.
