Chelsea didn’t play 3 ATB against liverpool. Chilwell came out and said it was a 4231 (which we played all pre season) with chilwell at LW, which was done to stop Trent, and colwil at LB. We will see a elbow defensive line with chilwell being the attacking fullback flying forward and James tucking into a back 3 in possession. It looked like 352 because of the personnel but it was actually 4231

Nah bruv. Marque signings can be multiple. These are talents that come in to change the team's level. Real Madrid in 2009 had about 3 marque signings. Benzema, Ronaldo and Kaka. These players came in and improved the level of the squad.

Personally I thought to be a marquee signing it consisted of the price and the status of the player you buy. I don’t think hojlund is a marquee signing and neither really is mount but in terms of the window overall for man United he is their marquee signing.

The one player, if there were to be one as a reasoning for a back five would be Chilwell. He had zero defensive responsibility in that Liverpool game. Poch even came out after and said it was a back four with Colwill at left back and Chilwell was meant to overload the forward areas. It was always Colwill isolated with Salah. The set up had nothing to do with Silva. See the way he still gets up for headers, geezer has springs in his boots.
