“They don’t stay around very long” understatement! They sell out quickly! Often as I am considering if it is “worth the shipping” what puts me over the edge is knowing it will be sold out by the time I circle back to it. I love every one I own, and wish I had started buying them long ago.

Wish they would come back with older patterns or newer designs during holidays like snowflakes for winter instead of cameras, or hearts and shamrocks.

When the paper strip is too thin to put into the paper holder, put some post-its on the strip

I really like the border maker but I find the cartridges are too expensive for me to justify just using them a few times. They don’t stay around nearly long enough in most cases.

The company is very sensitive to the fact that not all of our advisors can afford to have things on hand for clients to try so they keep our catalog fairly lean by pulling things away as the frenzy dies down and then offers something new in it's place. Everyone has different thresholds of what they want to spend their money on and for you, it sounds like the cartridges are just not that big of priority unless you can use it lots and lots. Many of my clients hate for one to go by and then they NEED that ghost and wish they had gotten it. If you scrapbook in groups at a workshop, I have found that most clients are willing to just let you BORROW theirs if you really don't want it though.... If you want some versatile ones that will go on ANY page (non themed), I like mirrored triangle, mirrored scallop, cloud, and lamplight in our current catalog. Thanks for your honest feedback ;)

I have the border maker system and love your videos. When I put the gray tray up or down, however, it gets ”stuck” and makes a loud noise. Is there a way to fix this problem?

hmmm, well, it DOES make a sound when it snaps back into place but I wouldn't say loud? curious if it's a manufacturing defect. why don't you make a video and send it to customerservice@creativememories.com If they think it is abnormal, they will send you a replacement.

How do you know if it's a stay-on border or a border that falls off just by looking at it, as you would in the catalog?

anything with CHAIN in the name definitely is "fall off".... go to the website and go to the border maker cartridges.... look at , say, the starry night one, the animal print one, and bridge one....do you see how all of those have squared off bottoms and the rest have nothing underneath or on top of the patterns? the squared off bottoms are square becasue it doesn't cut down there and the square mimics the piece of paper that is still there after you cut it.... does that make sense? If not, just look at the three i mentioned on the website and see if you can tell how they are different from all the other ones. CUrrently , those three are the only ones that do not fall off the paper.
