That last bit in the video with the framing and position I was getting big Good Eats Alton Brown vibes in a good way. That would be a pretty cool plant video format.
If they had a 4' x 2' version I'd buy it and probably more down the line. Only downside is the small size. I wanna use 1020 trays, not just display houseplants.
Just got my grow light set up however wanted to know if I could put this on my covered porch and run the lights. My cats keep getting on the shelves and pots.
Can the chain links be unchained/opened? I have growlights with chains too but I adjusted how long the chains with pliers to open the links and removing the amount of links I need. However, it does move around, and it's annoying bumping into it, I might do the zip-tie method.
you might have the bend the links a bit to get a finer adjustment, otherwise you can just hook the chain to itself to sort of make it longer or shorter
Hello Mr. TechPlant. Thanks so much for your videos. They’re very helpful. I wonder if you can help me with an answer. In this video, at 6:28, you can see the Barrina white and yellow connectors, which appear to be pretty long. By my estimate probably longer than the 20 inches they usually include in their boxes. Are you able to estimate the length of this cable connector and did you purchase separately? If so I’d appreciate the store name. I need something thin profile like this but longer, hopefully around 36 inches. Thank you in advance if you take the time time read and respond. I look forward to hearing from you. Keep up the videos they’re quite helpful. Rgds
Everything you said makes total sense. I also zip tie my lights because I also see it as wasted vertical space. Thank you for all your thoughtful tips
I actually really like how it looks and the mobility of the shelf. Another great video
yeah it has given me more space without actually "taking up space" since it can move out of the way
I love the caption explaining why you’re dressed up in one clip 😂
lol yeah i thought maybe it would be weird that i just suddenly am dressed up
7:23 thanks for the gravity loop advice ⚡️
Just bought one of these shelves, so this is a great video showing how to put it together and set up the lighting.
Glad it was helpful!
I need a shelf like that!! Wow!! Congrats...
Thanks! Im digging it a lot actually it gives me more space but doesnt take up space cuz i can move it

Great "concept" lol but they definitely need to come packaged with fitted shelf liner that actually act as trays and will catch excess water!
Yeah trays would be nice I think it's just hard to ship them without em getting crunched

as long as it isnt getting rained on I dont see why not. it may rust over time if you live in a very humid place.
very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
