I ride a 14 Sportster 1200 custom xl and test rode many to find the one to replace it with. Test rode this exact bike today and it's at the top of my list now. Very smooth clutch, plenty of power, extremely nimble and smooth sound. Terrific review as well. Many thanks 👍
Thanks H 😁
Thums down. You should be comparing this bike to a Ford Focus and telling us the specs of each. Pfft Einstein.
🤣🤣🤣🧃
@@lilynorthover8378 Orange RS yes please.😛
😂😂😂😂😂 you definitely earn a sticker🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂 sorry, next time i will check out the specs of a ford anglia pop plus 😂😂 Thanks MJ 😁
😂😂😂
Morning Mr TAYM. Yes, like that, like the colour too (not bad considering I like Black bikes 😂) which I believe is “Baja Orange”. Unlike others, I think it has a place. Sporty, yet traditional looking, without any pointy plastic bits. Nice review (as normal) 👍
Thanks Ian 😁 Great to meet up earlier 😁
@@TAYM yes, it was marvellous 🤩
Great review as always and of my current bike. Mine is in Red Hopper which I prefer to the orange. Mine has about 1500 miles on the clock now and has definitely loosened up. Personally I love it. Most of the gen 1 gripes have been taken care of. Lots complain about the seat but having grown up on 60’s and 70’s Triumphs I find it really comfortable.
Thanks Crumb 😁 it is a marvellous bike with a lot of improvements over the T120 😁 well at least over my T120 😁
Congratulations on the wonderful machine you own. A hug and enjoy her ✌️
Splendiforous vid. By all accounts Triumph have dealt with issues they had with older versions. As an old bloke from a time when a 600 was a big bike 1200 engine off the scale! Also shouldnt underestimate the exceptionally clever engineering in the modern Bonneville range of engines. Over 50 mpg from a high performance 100 hp bike. A modern classic imo. Btw surely true naughty riders would have a 765 Street Triple RS!!
Absolutely DC 😁 absolutely 😁
I only get low 40s MGP US gallons from my SpeedTwin....mountain riding.
@@DaBinChe it is amazing the effect different regions and terrain has on fuel economy 😁 still fun though 😁 thanks DC 😁
Great video again Mr TAYM a great bike I love mine it’s the red Colour I’ve only covered about 140 miles so far I’m hoping to get out tomorrow on it to Rykas cafe box hill in the Surrey hills H S
Marvellous, used to live in Chipstead, not too far from there 😁 Hope weather is good for you 😁 Thanks HS 😁
@@TAYM Thankyou oh really I hope you get a chance to get out on one of your bikes aswell 🏍️😊
I like the look of this bike, I like it a lot! I've started to get my head turned by other bikes, again! 😁 The speed twin in this colour scheme is definitely a contender even if it means reducing my collection to facilitate. Great review thanks TAYM 👍
Thanks MM 😁 I know 😁 so many bikes, such little time 😁😂😂😂😂
Bought this bike in this colour a couple of weeks ago, absolutely love it. My first bike in 20 years. Good from 2000revs, gets interesting at 3000 and at 4000 it nearly pulls your arms out of the sockets. 10 out of 10 for me.
Exactly 😁😂😂 marvellous bike 😁thanks WW😁
Took delivery of my tangerine dream this week. Pre-ordered Nitron suspension front and back. But didn’t allow for the dreaded man flu so it will be next week before I take it for a ride
Damn that man flu 😡 Hope you feel better soon 😁 Thanks BL 😁
Great review, I love your channel and my 2019 Speed Twin
Thanks
Thanks H 😁 I bet yours came with a grab rail and centrestand too 😁😂😂
90mph, hypotheticallly speaking of course your Worship. Nice bike, now if I squint a little it looks and sounds a lot like my Interceptor. Orange forever. Thanks TAYM.
😂😂😂 Thanks DT 😁
Lovely ride and discussion very nice bike not 100% on the orange but pretty cool bike love the clocks
😊😊😊
Thanks Phil 😁 Yes odd isn’t it, the colours that keep coming out 😁
Love the motorcycle and the color!
It is great to ride 😁 thanks BS 😁
My ideal would be the T120 with all of its factory accessories, cruise control, center stand, heated grips but the !200 high power engine added then you would have a real classic!
Thanks MP 😁
The more I watch of your video's on Triumphs, The more I am tempted! I have resisted until now as I was brought up on a diet of crappy Triumph twins from the 60's and 70's and grew to hate them for the endless faults they had! So if I didn't like the originals too much, why would I like a copy of them? The new ones seem a very different breed to ones of yore....me now thinks!
I was very much the same but these are so far from those terrible days (which we hanker after) 😂😂😂 Thanks U 😁 go and try one 😊
I like it 👍. My kind of bike in my favourite tank colour 😁. It sounds great! Of course, I would have to add a centre stand and longer mudguards.
😂😂😂 thought you might favour the colour 😁 thanks GBD 😁
@@TAYM Oh yes! Orange is dead good.
@@GapBahnDirk 😂😂😂
Looks like someone at triumph likes 'enfield-orange' 😉.
Those front discs look the business - huge!
Thanks Loki 😁 Yes, plenty of stopping power 😁
Thums well and truly up TAYM what a lovely looking bike in a great colour I think , thanks for the review
Thanks GCK 😁😁😂
Love that orange 🍊 Must admit I go a bit weak at the knees over Triumph bonnevilles. This one tastes AND smells of orange Juicy Fruit.😊
😂😂😂 definitely a fresh juicy taste 😁 Thanks Lily 😁
Amazing color, what a présence this speed twin 1200.
Absolutely 😁
Hi TAYM I used to have a 1200 speed twin in grey, loved the engine but the squeaky front brakes got on my nerves😫 do the front brakes still squeak? Have to say though I wouldn’t change my Moto Guzzi V100 for another 😊
Both my T100 and Thruxton do on the odd occasion squeak but nowhere near as much as my 2020 T120 😂😂😁 Thanks Hobnob😁
Good video! Beautiful bike!! Wonderful exhaust note!!! Question: would it be breaking the law to remove those warning stickers off the gas tank after you buy it?
😂😂😂😂 thanks FL 😁 no, they are there for people like mr Thum 😁 just so he doesn’t attempt to drink the contents 😁😂😂
@@TAYM 🤣🤣🤣
Very nice, love the matt orange tank. I'm riding the scrambler 1200 XE, amazing motor 👍
Love the scrambler 😁 surprisingly agile for a big bike 😁 thanks TT 😁
It's tangerine !
Nice looking bike , but I couldn't stop seeing Roland rat's face resemblance bobbing up and down at the bottom of my telly screen with the clocks and top yolk assembly, or am I going nuts? 😅😅
To me it looks like a little face with sparkly big eyes and a little smile.😊
😂😂😂😂 its not just you 😂😂 Thanks M 😁
😂😂😂
@@TAYM I'm glad it's not just me and all ,cheers 😆
A definite thums up. The Oily Man isnt going yo like those USD forks! It's important to remember that Uncle Stu used to be a Triumph fan boy before he realized being the founder and high priest of the Church of Royal Enfield would get him more views.😂
😂😂😂😂😂 brilliant 😂😂😁 thanks B 😁
loverly clouds are building up here feel I dont need to go out now I,v just watched that thanks mate
Oh dear, hope it stayed fine for you 😁 Thanks DB 😁
Suite me TAYM I have thrown my leg over one of these and it did feel good weight wise didn't take it out though because I know I would want it 😬I do like this model but you can't get them without the bar ends (I did ask ) . The one I was looking at was a jaffa orange but those downpipes are disappointingly discoloured at only 1,000 mls that would bug me I would be forever polishing them I think .Grab rail a must as a well as a center stand for me silencers much better than the peashooters for my taste .Luv the clocks and switch gear good but to be a bit picky the mounting of the break reservoir doesn't look great , question why not a fluid clutch what do you think on that ? is it the same engine as the Thruxton ?
Well, my old triumphs (Daytona 1000 & 1200) had fluid clutches and they were a pain, but the bikes were older and I also had over heating issues too 😂😂😂 The engine is similar but not the same. The Thruxton engine has lost weight and had a few tweaks so it spins up faster. I also think the mapping is different😁 Thanks Crumb 😁
Trident 🔱 has self canceling & are marvelous not as though I leave them on much still good to have extra layer of safety especially if you've been down before.
Radiator guard & front fender extender, crash bars a must.Mate had this bike a 2021 in red.
Love the Orange 🍊 Fanta look & so will DAIN 🌲 tree HE has a weakness for orange 🍊 bikes.
Fantastic Fanta🍊 or Fantasia
or Fanta-stic.
Alloys are way easier to clean & easier to fix punctures etc. Triumph should look at doing stainless spoke wheels like Interceptor for ease of maintenance & look just as good.
How strange these don’t 🤔
😂😂 definitely need an extender 😁
Absolutely 😁
It’s a very beautiful machine
Thanks GG 😁
Nice video, covered. Everything a rider would need t know, have u rode the 900 ? Which one would. U choose?
I have 😁 I love both but it was riding the 900 that made me go for the T100 😁 simply for the looks and two clocks😂😂 I am a simple bloke 😁 thanks Pete 😁
I like the orange, but I would change the bars to chrome. 😂
Yes, it does cheapen it a bit in black doesn’t it😁
Nice looking bike, better attention to detail and finish than the Z900rs. Thinking of buying one, I've always preferred twin cylinder engines.
I loved my z900 and my t120, I like this but love my Thruxton more. 😁
It test rode that exact bike at Suffolk triumph, it was lovely. I then bought the bronze/black one. They can shift and lovely to ride.
I'd like to add to the "Taste" questions' answer, Mr TAYM. In Australia we have a lolly called The Jaffa. It's a round spherical ball of confectionery, milk chocolate in the centre, with a hard thick outer orange coloured and flavoured outer coating.
Suck it first, then get to the treat in the centre part. Yummy Yummy, put some More in my Tummy !
😂😂😂😂 sounds marvellous 😁 thanks FN 😁
On my Triumph Street Twin the quality of the co2 sensor wasn't there unfortunately and also my electrical harness had to be entirely replaced due to friction wear on the frame
That’s shocking 😱hope it got fixed quickly 😁
@@TAYM All fixed under warranty since it was a 2021 bike...
@@c.g.c2067 marvellous 😁 must have been built by the same bloke that made my T120 😂😂
@@TAYM there you go then you know what I mean
That is a sexy pair of clocks ! and it does sound wonderful , the after thoughts of a disgruntled dog :)
😂😂😂😂 yes, does yours do the same 😁😂😂 great photos by the way 😁
Thanks TAYM ! yes Booth our boarder collie mutters under his breath .... glad you liked the photos !@@TAYM

Hi, Sir.
Thank you very much for your video.
Just one question: do you find the wind-blast a problem at higher speeds? I'm tempted to buy one of these, but will probably want to use it a lot on the motorways, and also on the French highways (when touring).
What do you think?
Any advice for me?
Much appreciated, and take care of yourself.
Neil (Birmingham).
Well its a naked bike so there is nowhere to hide but I found it a lot better than the T120. The seating position/ergonomics puts you (or at least me) at a slight angle to the wind which reduces the neck aching blast I used to get on the T120 above 70 on long distance motorway travel. 😁 Hope that helps😁 Thanks NP😁
90 miles an hour plus and you do feel the wind blast. But, below that, it’s a breeze.
Thumbs up bub .......love that family of bikes............❤❤❤
Thanks JH 😁 They are lovely 😁
Had one of these for the day when my T100 went in for service about a year ago. Marvellous 😊. But my problem is that I ride according to what type of bike I throw my leg over. It brought out the hooligan in my 59 year old brain 😈. I read somewhere 😉 that Triumph might be banned from using the word "Speed" on their products in case it illicits bad behaviour and 30mph in a twenty for example.
Where did I read that, can't remember - probably the Sun 😂
Brilliant 😂😂😂 I guess speed cameras will just become cameras and speed guns , guns 🤔😁😂😂😂 thanks PGB 😁
@@TAYM Uzi 9mm

Not keen on the tangoed tank but more importantly where is Mr Cone, has he been recycled?
Funny, we were just talking about Mr Cone at a UA-camrs meeting earlier today 🤔 I must check on him 😁 Thanks CD 😁
Nice bike but on the expensive side, do I prefer it to the Z000RS, i don't think i do.
Yes, both very good bikes 😁 thanks IH 😁
Wonderful review although you seemed to compare it to a T120 and T100 without riding them in the same video, so someone is going to give you a _Thums Down_
Ever since returning home with an Orange Bike (Burnt Umber CB500S) back in 1998, the wife has banned Orange Bikes unless they are giving them away 😂 she mentions it to this day if she gets wind of me considering getting another bike, so anything for an easy life, no orange.
😂😂😂 tell her it’s autumn late sun and you will be fine 😂😂 Thanks S 😁
I was thinking that you will try something Italian but this bike has Italian suspention.. So, I was almost right 😁😁 .. From this riding view looks very similar to Buddie. I am a bit lost with all this triumph twin family of bikes.
Yes, they share a lot of components 😁 from the cockpit they do all look alike but feel different 😁 thanks Stefan 😁
Triumph asked for feedback on me Tiger 850 Sport .and guess what they now make one 😂in
orange but dont blame me 🙄
😂😂😂😂 I do like the 900 Aragon too 😁 Thanks TR 😁
I like an engine with high torque rather than big horse power. I am not a fan of the colour but thats just personal. The front forks don’t look adjustable like on the Thruxton. Wonderful noise.
No but definitely an improvement on the T120 😁 thanks JM 😁
😀Welcome to the "Fan Boy" club!🤣
😂😂😂😂
it looks like a proper bike in my mind ; but is it worth twice the price of the re interceptor ??
Interesting 🤔 I think you need to compare eggs with eggs. I think it’s more like TMFs interceptor, which cost substantially more than a new speed twin 🤔 😂😂😁😁
Very attractive looking machine, TAYM.
Thanks LE 😁
Taste 🤔 it's definitely Sunny delight, artificial orange day glow in the light.
😂😂 Thanks GW 😁
Hand up for this bike. The orange amazing! Yes please
Thanks LoY 😁 I haven’t forgot the video on set up, just haven’t had time yet. As soon as I have done it i will send you a link.😁
@@TAYM no rush and I know you are busy. Take your time, I was wondering if it had changed since 2 years ago
I'm looking to get a used one
What oldest model would you recommend that doesn't differ much from the newest?
I am not sure, I will ask about what people think and get back to you, I’ve only ridden the 2022 and 23 models 😁 thanks F😁
@@TAYM thanks
Matt orange is nice but those health and safety stickers on the tank detract.
I know, I don’t know why they don’t take them off, they can be a bugger to shift sometimes 😂😂 Thanks L 😁
@@TAYM probably for the American market... I suppose they say ' do not drink contents'
@@loki1066 😂😂😁
Aesthetically, it's not a patch on the Z900RS.
Think it falls a fair bit short on performance too 😁 Thanks CD 😁
That’s a fair point , I’ve fallen in love with the Z650RS is green and gold , then I rode a Triumph Trident 660 , but the seat is no good for my partner ( as we will ride together a lot ) the salesman has pushed the speed twin , love it apart from the twin rear shocks
Definitely a subjective thing, looks. I love the Speed Twin’s looks.
Is the Z900 cheaper too ?
@@jonathanmellish4439 about the same price 😁
3:47 Keep this baby TAYM ‘d I saw you what you done there😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 glad someone spotted it 😂😂😂 Thanks MW 😁
Splendiferous
😂😂😂😂
Should have chrome handlebars 😢 Marvellous video 😊 not got time to watch it though 😮 I have a date with a Sausage? See ya latter Ta 👍
See you there AR 😁 Super Sausage here I come 😁 I understand your in the chair 😁
Just what is the fascination with a rather meaty twelve inches of pork, is it a case of subjugation to pin such a length under your fork. I remember watching Biker scran, TMF and his buddies Geoff and Dan. With such delights they thought they'd nail a clincher, yet had to make do with a few five incher's. It seems the Super Sosaaage isn't quite the same, it really ought to change its name. With seven inches less length on every link, what must the female bikers think. Yet their fascination for the big boys I can understand, but what's the contemplation of the average man 🤔😯😂
@@greywolf9292 All the boys think they look meaner with a large, thick meaty wiener.
@@greywolf9292 😂😂😂
@@TAYM I thought that would make you chuckle 😂 Have you read my epic reply to Mr "COMPARE" guy, or is it hidden in your for review box as often is the case when I fly close to the mark 🤔😯😉😂

I would indeed 😁 I shall look into it. 😁 Thanks MVL😁
You're a good guy. Thanks for the vids.@@TAYM
Not my cup of tea I think if you want retro then buy a Bonneville, if you want to go fast and modern buy a street triple. To me, the Speed twin doesn't fit either camp and, to my eyes, it just looks like an unfinished Bonneville. I also think that the Bonneville sounds better and is a more practical bike with proper mudguards.
I am with you Mike 😁 hence the T100 & Thruxton 😁
SE Bonneville they use to make with 17" alloys & two tone tank, been since 2015 since a SE Bonneville 900.
I think it would suit me, as someone who has a street triple and might be on the road towards a boneville but is not ready yet. 😂 I test rode the speed twin gen 1 when it came out and loved it but haven't yet pulled the trigger. I will have one, though, eventually. 😊
@@trevorphillips3055 excellent, a staged intervention 😂😂😂
i don't get your reasoning..why can't be both fast and retro? it doesn't have to "fit" into a camp. its a 50/50 between a thruxton and a bonneville. For people such as myself who want something sporty that doesn't look like a transformer, but actually handles. the t120 feels like a barge in comparison.
Looking forward to this bike being evaluated but all the "err" and "erm" within the first 2 minuets made me exit, sorry mate
That’s ok Jeff 😁 at least you tried 😁
2-3rd😂
Which one TAYM 🦒 2-3.
Better than 89th🤣.
Speed Twin has sportier map than the T120 & more sportier riding position & stance.
Has alloys too fix that puncture yourself with mini air compressor & tyre plugs in 5-10mins & be on your way.
😁
2nd 😁
Yes, a much more practical bike 😁thanks RR
