But if Martinelli improves as he does, he could be the next big thing. Only time will tell.
As things stand, for a kid that Arsenal got for odd 7m he's done extremely well. In todays market he's worth at least 7-10X what Arsenal paid for him.

It's difficult to be a striker at City. The opposition parks the bus and the lone striker barely gets a look in. If people thought Jesus "failed" at City, then it's not necessarily the insult they think it is. For a failed career at City, he did very well and was a nightmare for defenders.

He looks world class at Arsenal. I didn’t rate him at city, probably because they play slow and possessive build up, but at Arsenal he drives past people like Messi. I think he will defo be one of the top players this season.
@@hi12235 he played 180 games for mancity and had 170 goal contributions and had higher tackles than all other attackers at mancity combined, 3rd in dribbles begin sterling and mahrez in attack so i dunno what you were watching also Pep plays possession but he doesn't play slow football
@@priteshattal I didn’t start watching games till last season so from what I saw of him that was my opinion. Also you can’t deny the whole front 3 was regularly rotated last season so Jesus wasn’t a 100% starter.

the way he plays at arsenal is the same way he used to play at Palmeiras in Brazil. Both Man city and the national team sacrifice him for other players to shine. If they give him enough space he’ll show why man city bought him in the first place

I've never seen a CF with quick feet like this since R9. He can dribble past defenders in very tight areas, and he's rapid. People had doubts because of the numbers but still his numbers at City were very good 142 g/a in 14,000+ minutes which roughly is only 150+ games

I've noticed that City fans are remarkably magnanimous about Jesus and Zina moving to Arsenal, it's admirable and relatively unusual among football supporters. I guess being by far the strongest team in the league will do that to you :-)

As a City fan, I hope his great form continues. He's an underrated player because he never got enough minutes at City. His career record is a goal or assist every 100 or so minutes, which puts him among the very best this league has ever seen. His Champions League record is even better. You lot got a bargain as far as I'm concerned. Can't believe you've got Jesus and we have Grealish. I know who got the best of that exchange. With Jesus and Zinchenko in your team, I'd love Arsenal to have a successful season and at least regain top four status.

After the last world cup, when Jesus don't score a single goal for our national team as a 9, i admit that i, like majoraty of the brazillian people, lost faith on him. But now, after a couple solid seasons for City (being a versatile striker), he looks more ready to me. In first games on Palmeiras, he was just what we saw in these first games for Arsenal: A quick, skilled and intelligent CF. I really hope (and believe) he will make history in Arsenal. Lets see.

One of my favorite GJ moments was him celebrating the MO goal where MO snatched the shot right from GJ's foot. GJ immediately turned and celebrated, and my initial thought was that he must have gotten a touch, and was trying to claim the goal. But then I saw both the replay, showing that he didn't even swing at it, plus how happy he was when he came over to congratulate MO. He wasn't celebrating bc he thought he scored, or to make it look like he did. He was celebrating bc his TEAM scored, and didn't care that his teammate possibly stole a goal from him. I believe in the after match interview, he even said he was glad bc MO was in a better position to score. Such a great attitude; perfect fit for the club!

As a Man United fan I have to admit I'm a bit jealous of Arsenal signing this player. He's only been playing for them for less than 10 games I think yet the amount of highlights he already produced for them is amazing.
