2 years ago, I was involved in a horrible car accident. The young man that hit me, passed instantly. I coded at the hospital and I swear I was entering heaven. I saw him and I feel like he is now my guardian angel. This version is exactly how I feel because he told me to leave heaven and go back

I heard this song on one of my favorite shows... so moving, sad... wonderfully done!
This is easily the best cover I’ve heard in my entire life
Using only the piano and his voice, Jonah doesn’t need the words to feel that separation is an end to something he once had. Losing that connection or not being able to see that person everyday is in itself a detachment from being dependent on his partner. So the loss is not closure but a way to tell himself that he did love her once but he won’t forget her.

My dad is currently battling stage 4 kidney cancer and we were told Thursday that the treatments aren't working and he's has 2-4 weeks left. That scene and this song freaking broke me. Soo many broken soul losing their loved one in this comment section. I’m one of them, it’s been 7 years since I lost my sunshine and eternal lover. Sometimes I feel like one day she would just walk through the door like she always does. When it’s drizzling rain outside and I’m walking down the street we used to walk on, somehow i see her walking towards me from opposite directions, giving me that mischievous smile like she’s bragging about it. None of them are possible because this isn’t a disney movie. But, If anyone reading this are in the same situation as me, all i can say is, if you really love them, you won’t get over but you will get better.

These days with vocal processing it can be hard to know when singers are good, but as someone who knows pretty well how much you can manipulate things like this, my opinion is he has to be quite a good singer. You can tune some mistakes, but it's hard to get that tonality with good pitch accuracy, and very good breath support overall and keep all of these considerations within certain parameters. Well done.
