Well done for this season. When will we know what you're doing next year? Do keep us updated. You make me feel like having a go, and I've not even done a track day!
Thanks Dean, I've been pushing hard to do a lot of things this year, not all of it will come off. I'm really going to try to do walk/talk/work vlogs this year so I can shake it up and bit more.
Well I enjoyed that, as I do all your onboards Ben, but it kind of shot the fox when matey blew up as not only did he disappear, but held everyone up as well and let you get a gap. Interesting what you say about the bigger picture, I've always been a bit baffled by the Combe saloons for this reason. I don't know if it's something to do with their regs but they all seem to be massively powerful hovercrafts. From comments you've made in your vids it maybe seems doubtful I'll bump into you in a 750mc paddock again this season? Not racing with the Hot Hatches this year? Good luck with whatever you do get up to. Ben Rowe Mr2 Championship.
Haha, well, can't plan much when it comes to a race and I've been dealt some good hands last year. And yea, it's a bit weird that formula, impressive but disappointing at the same time. I think, and it's an age old issue, that personal progression is blighted by one's own safety net or ego, and you really have to criticise yourself harder than anyone else would to make giant steps. All too often it's the tool we're operating that's at fault, rather than the tool that's operating. The 80/20 rules applies itself in such a harsh manner in racing. 80% of the speed you can get with 20% of the effort, but who is willing to put in 80% more effort to get 20% more speed......... Very few, and they're the ones usually at the front making it look easy.
Apparently there are good few more cars coming, but probably not until a few rounds in as they build and get ready. I'll also be trying to step up into another championship for at least a race or two.
Love the videos mate! Awesome in car setup too! Currently building a k24 powered dc2 as well so the setup advice and comments have been great! You put me onto honed who are local guys and their input has been invaluable going against the grain of huge rear bars to get the car to rotate. How do you find the 20kg rear spring? Looks like it completely changed the car! Still running a 245/225 tyre combo?
Hi bud, thanks for the comments! Honed are great and their package let's you setup a car holistically. I run 22kg front springs and 11kg rear, 255/235 tyre stagger. I do run a 32mm asr hollow bar with 0.12" wall, but run it on its softest setting.
Was looking forward to this.😎
Well held, sir👍🏻😎🤣
Just found this channel today, fantastic clean content. Many thanks, I'm going to enjoy watching the rest!
Thanks bud! Hope you subscribe, it really helps!
@@BenR22 Of course! I wish you all the best :D
A credit to all videos this year! Love these, absolutely make my day. Good luck in the next upcoming race season.
Thank Connor 👍
Best rearview mirror display I've ever seen in a replay, great work, love your videos (and most of your lines.)
Great video...you have a new fan.
Thanks David!
I really want to do something like this in the future. Great video!
The future isnt that far away, best get prepping!
Dude these videos are awesome. Love the channel and the content 🔥🔥
Thanks man! Appreciate it!
Who was the guy that had that Civic behind you and does he put he races on UA-cam?
Guy called Chris Sparks, and I don't think he does.
After you put the car in 1st at the start, you reach with your left hand for something off camera... is that a parking brake or what?
Line lock for the rear brakes. So yea, a handbrake without the handbrake. Just stops me rolling on the line and getting a penalty.

@@BenR22 sounds exciting, I'll stay tuned.
Hats off to you mate, you know how to motor a car around a track 👍🏼 my oulton Park video looks like it’s in slow motion compared to this
haha thanks man! I'll go have a look at yours.

Oh, and you'll see me in the 750 paddocks this year.
@@BenR22 Hopefully there will be a few more in your class this year, in all senses of the word, wherever you are racing.

what lucky save for first lap hahaha
When is your next video coming out
Tomorrow 👍
Oh, and thanks for the oil at Silverstone :-) I couldn't figure out WTF was going on at the time. Why is there no F'ing grip?
Hey! I only choose the slipperiest of cog lubes and deploy it strategically.
Reverse entry into Shell Oils. My man.
🤷♂️ I got a seven from Len.
👍🏼 2019 should just be ‘can Ben find 5th gear without issue?’
New shifter coming mid season, but I'm not splitting the box again.... See how it goes with the lockout back in place first.
Aha..this has to be good👍
It doesn't have to be haha, I hope it is though.
Still got a broken visor 😂
Still got a stilo............ 😤
