My older son came out to me and told me he is trans. I asked him why he didn't tell me. He said he didn't think I would understand. I am open with him and told him that I love him no matter what he is. I worry for his future. He just now started experiencing with make up, nail polish and wearing female clothes at home. My other son is bi. We give birth to them but what they are in the future we have no control. All we can do is to support them and love them.

Very good perspective. This is a much needed discussion to educate Filipinos who has still much to learn. So much labelling and discrimination. Pinoy make a laughing stock out of the gay people which is so unfortunate and frankly infuriating. This conversation is long overdue. Thank goodness someone like Boy Abunda can discuss these things intelligently. The Pinoy mentality will need to change to accommodate inclusion and normalisation. Here in New Zealand sexuality isn't even an issue because it's a basic human right. Everyone is respectful and can live the way they want. Period.

My personal take about your narrative is that nobody has the right to question someone's decision to publish their life story as to why, when, what, where, or even, how. The story or vlog that was shared by BB that involved David (Rustom Padilla) and Jonathan (Piolo Pascual) 20 years ago only proved one thing: Love is Love regardless of sex or gender. And that both Rustom/BB and Piolo must be respected for the choices they've made, the same respect that each one of us deserves.💕
