Just went to see it. My theater went wild when Amy was shown. It was the first time I've ever been in a moment of vocal hype in a movie theater and it was beautiful.
Same... all the teenagers and adults went nuts. And as one of the older adults [hi, 38 in a month] i did not care that I was screaming and hype alongside the youngsters. Lol.
Me and my theatre went nuts throughout the whole movie It was a concert! Imagine her, but EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US WAS SCREAMING LIKE THAT! GREATEST MOVIE AND THEATRE EXPERIENCE EVER!
Couple things I noticed with this portrayal of Amy as of right now. 1) she’s getting the princess peach treatment from the Mario movie (not a damsel in distress, but rather a powerful fighter off rip) 2) unlike most form of sonic media… she DOES NOT look younger than sonic. In fact dare I say she looks the same age. And seeing as I highly doubt we are going to see any form of fan girl personality from Amy in the movies…. Holy shit, the possibility of Sonamy actually happening in any form of media is real
Unless they actually keep the fact that Sonic and sally were first and then Amy Rab-bot so they’ve combined the two in Sonic prime but I think we will get a hint that unleashed had..she likes him but he’s too busy and focused. Lots of moments for “clueless Sonic” and “desperate Amy”
Amy has always been able to fight back numerous times in the franchise and saved Sonic on several occassions unlike Peach who mostly gets kidnapped in every game.

And they sent her onto earth(because they'll probably die or get killed like Longclaw) and told her to never reveal herself to anyone and to lay low for many years, until Sonic came by in the woods.

seeing metal sonic makes sense, considering the movies are loosely adapting the games, since sonic adventure 1 and 2 were basically covered by the 2nd and 3rd movie. its likely that the 4th will loosely cover sonic heroes. which means we could also end up with metal overlord as the main villain
I see metal overload for sure in 4 or even silver sonic as a sub boss but definitely heroes vibes for 4. Team Sonic is now complete with team shadow slowly forming ;) team rose just got started! Probably all teams in 5. We got a Babylonian reference in 2, I think most missed that but check the helmets of jet storm and wave.
Amy Rose and Metal are both Sonic CD characters. They debut at the same time from the same game. Sonic 4 might be about Sonic CD and that game does time travel with Time Stones. That's why Metal appeared like the Terminator.

Amy was always a badass especially in Sonic Boom where she was a feminine yet no nonsense fighter. Also she only got kidnapped three times in the entire franchise and saved Sonic numerous times so she was never a damsel in distress like Princess Peach.
