Greetings Scott! It's 2022 - and wanted to let you know that we're still learning from your original investment in creating this series. Hope you come back to extend and continue your work. Many thanks for your generosity in doing this, and in keeping them up.

    Thanks again for your videos!
I have a comment about the thought experiment. I always teach my students that Aperture stop and Field stop depend on where the object (or image) is placed. So the first answer to your experiment will be "where is the object?". ;-)
A second comment: In case that a Stop is conjugated with the object (image or elsewhere), I would say it never can act as the Aperture stop. It only could limit field (or glare... etc)
    Waiting for more great videos!

Hello i'm a communication & electronic engineer working on a project about an algorithm in Digital signal processing and I'd like to ask you (if you don't mind) to explain to me how to design a cubic phase mask with ZEMAX because i have to use this technology to improve image restoration taken by computational imaging system .

This is the place to ask for advice on Telescop choice , im currently using Newtonian 114mm F4,5 , the video of the image it gives its uploaded
    ua-cam.com/video/dNEXxLzuGsg/v-deo.html
You can see Blur around the image, i think its there everywhere , maybe my mirror is spherical , not Parabolic, bit i would like a better image, but i dont have that much money , what would be the system for me , i want to look at Planets , moon , some galaxy's . Aslo i want to take an image of it . Would parabolic Newtonian be better , or would smaller Reflector do better , or some other design ?
    Thank you

Just FYI, it's pronounced JIF with a soft G because the creator of the format says so. :)
Love your videos by the way.
