This house isn’t bad it has really surprisingly good sized bedrooms and closet space . I also like the fact you pointed out the they try and stage the media room to be functional with two rows of love seats 🤣.
The Master bath is cool and all as far as layout but damn that tile is busy as hell made me dizzy .
I like that the office has tall ceilings and that their is still a homework study area at the top of the stairs and the flow of the house . I also like that it’s brick all over the exterior and not stucco or siding . I get some people don’t like the esthetic of just brick but living in siding and stucco homes I’ve come to appreciate the resilience of brick especially in wet wether . Siding has nail pops and comes off in humid weather over time and stucco gets areas with bubbles and cracks along the bottom over time but brick doesn’t have those issues . I wish I had listened to the three little piggies when I bought the homes I’ve owned .
This model home is actually pretty realistic to what you’d get other than a few minor design features and tray ceiling in the office .
The one thing that’s off is if you walked out that restroom upstairs near the front with a robe for some reason you’d hope nobody would be coming in that front door looking up .
As far as TVs placement in this case the shelves look great over the cabinets and a TV over the fireplace would function a lot better . If you had let say more of a modern look with marble over the fireplace to the ceiling with no shelf over the fireplace a tv would go better off to the side . Plus their is a media and game room upstairs I mean how many TVs can someone watch at once especially if the kids might also have one in each bedroom. One thing I’d add that is overlooked in new home builds is a cat6 Ethernet port in each bed room . This is a feature I highly recommend getting as you build before they put up sheet rock . It eliminates dead spots and having to buy a Mesh system down the road and frees up Wi-Fi to the things that need it most . Having Ethernet ports in each bedroom mean you can add a switch and directly connect TVs PlayStations Laptops of whatever else that might need a strong connection . Way better than having two or three routers and Orbis plugged in all over the place . Also an Ethernet port at that homework station at the top of the steps and office as well .

This is great feedback! I like the idea of a Ethernet port to relieve the WiFi!

@@RajSahoo thanks man I just got every room in my existing home some Cat6 ports so my kids PlayStations and their TVs and Amazon fire sticks stopped messing with my wifi for work lol . For four bedrooms it was about $1100 but I can see a significant change in connection lol . If I had to do it all over again I get it done during the build . Multi Media Solutions North Austin on McNeil specializes in this stuff and are perfectionists and back all their work with warranty.

We fell in love with Westin and really wanted to build this floor plan in Bastrop. However, i don't like how builders have switched to releasing a few houses at a time and only selling the houses when they are 80+% done. I wanted to pick everything. So we went with Taylor Morrison Sapphire and are super excited about it. I account for at least 20% of your views on that video, lol. My husband and I watch it OFTEN!

20% of views 😂 That’s great! Very excited for you. Picking your upgrades is a rewarding process both now and also when you will enjoy it living in the home.
