you actually don"t have to remove the front draft rod from the mower frame as you have shown, because once you have removed the two rear brackets that support the rear of the mower deck and the belt as you have shown, you can simply slide the mower deck forward quite easily and just lift the front draft rod out of the bracket on the front of the mower deck and I usually just take a piece of scrap wire and wrap it around the now completely freed draft rod and secure it up out of the way until you are ready to reinstall the deck.
