- I know you always wanted to do this purchase, it’s ok. I did it for you! Besides it’s my birthday week so I don’t always get to do this. LoL
Update* As of 10/04/2021 artic seafoods box is at $389 right now.
I got it at $279 Northern Ca Pricing In may 2021. FYI idk what your Costco charges. Let me know! Last week was $319! And they decided to Increase $7 per pound this week. Its now no longer at my costco. Its not sold out. They said its no longer a calie to the customers so the box was removed. $389 is crazy!
I can’ even buy these now.
I wanted to make a new video showing a Standard way to steam and the Asian way
But I Can’t afford $389 a box.
FYI. There are two companies that Costco uses. For the most part it’s always Pacific Seafood. Whenever there low they use another company.

Thank you for taking the time to do this video. I will definitely look for the box that's not see through because I don't want freezer burned crabs at that price.
Your welcome. I’m a crab Ambassador and love people who care about there seafood quality. Stay well & Safe 💙🦀
I just checked the price at Costco and it's now reached $599. I am in California. They will probably be charging more as we get closer to the New Year.
Omg! I’m in NorCal. I called last night and they finally brought the box back after 1 month. It’s still $389. Costco told me they don’t charge more than 14% over retail on any item. I believe it because prices are still Costco prices, but this crab is not following that rule. You should complain to your local Costco. Use the feedback form.
$130/lb um that’s a joke! Its back up here from $336 to $409 been steady at $409. You message may be the most preposterous i have ever seen and i say that respectfully 😳
in florida at the store its 337.00 online its 550
Gotcha, yeah my store is $389 right now. Alaska just suspended Opelio crab season for 2022-2023, so I think King may go up about 10% soon
Thank you 😊 so much. Very informative 👏
My Pleasure, thanks 4 stopping by 💙🦀

Thank you, Good 👂 lol
As of today July 6, 2022 it’s $549.99
I’m bout to go fishing😭
Right! Smh. I cant go over $330 for a box. To me thats the highest i will ever pay. Seeing and hearing the same Costco stores have a huge price difference makes me so mad.
Waiting for that Costco waygu unboxing!
Omg! That’s a grip sir LOL
@@FadiSetGo ah only a car payment for 2!
@@tylernx Once I pay my Mortgage I will one day get around to that! For now.
I did the King crab box as a celebration for my birthday 🎉 week!
❤
We definitely needed this❗
$250 is actually great deal for a 10 lb box
Your speaking my Language. I will cherish the days when a box was $250-$268. Can’t believe where there at now.
@@FadiSetGo I saw it was $300 to $350 a few weeks ago for a box. But I wonder if they were the colossal size or jumbo or regular
@@quoaitran1135 for us it’s always regular King Crab. I only know of certain Safeways actually have colossal but never jumbo. You can order either of the 3 from those expensive online sites but you will pay between 450-700 for 10lbs
@@FadiSetGo I just bought 1 box at Costco last week. It's $389 now. At 38.89 per pound crazy.
old video
I agree. The cluster meat is the best. But speaking about freshness doesn’t make a whole lot of sense… They are harvested, boiled and frozen on the boat. If not soon after. So “freshness“ really has to do with handling and preservation of quality.
Yeah I know. Of the last 13 years from Costco, we had 2 boxes that were not good and or really salty within preparation of shipping and boxing.
It’s also sad to see the King Crab in Alaska Season suspended. Also even if it wasn’t suspended it’s not financially sustainable to pay for a over $300 IMO. I used to think $220 was a lot back in my old videos, and to see them capped out around $349 before they stopped carrying the is crazy to me. Even online at Costco they want $550 and most of the time it’s not always Alaskan King, it’s Golden King, way smaller and doesn’t taste as good along with the same price tag.
Thanks for sharing by the way!
@@FadiSetGo hi. Thanks. And thank you for your post(S). The recent crabbing seasons have been a disaster. It seems that the golden kings could be taken. But not the reds. So here we are wondering what is out there on the market… obviously the Reds are the standard. I recently went to a restaurant and purchased 1.5 pounds of king crab legs. $99. I think they were Reds but now I’m not sure… when I go back, I will ask more questions.
One more comment. My two cents… Salt covers a lot of off flavors… So you are correct when you received some thing that was way too salty. It’s terrible that we have to be so skeptical about everything that we purchase. And the disappointment that ensues. But so many of us are reluctant to bring it back or send it back and stick it to the merchandisers… most of us don’t have time for it, or the inclination to follow through. We just accept disappointment and MoveOn… take it on the chin, but I’m not so sure we learn from those experiences. Because they happen over and over again.
@steveo3831 @steveo3831 100% agree. It’s more than crab though! Snapple iced tea decides to go from glass and preserve the contents of the container and switches over to PET plastic. People don’t care! SOBE drinks decides to go from glass changes over the plastic. Starbucks charging six dollars for a Venti drink. People pay it! $400 GoPro cameras people don’t care anymore. Go pros used to be the THING! My list goes on and on and I’ve always been anal about certain things but compared to most people. I am the person that will email the company I will send in a correspondence. I will tell them that my request needs to go above the person that’s handling an email and closes it out.
I do this with everything that I’m not satisfied for.
Anytime something changes for the worst, I will be “THAT” guy who says something. I have always felt, “fine I’ll do it myself.
@steveo3831 oh for sure, Reds are king. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they were golden king crab.
I’m very picky when it comes to the texture of meat
I heard that!
I just bought this a publix and got 3 small legs for $50. So you got a great deal for that big box
Thanks for sharing! Appreciate the feedback
You said come over for dinner okay I’ll be there I’ll bring the wine what your wife or husband like cause. I want some

Nice!
I like your video so keep up the good work
Thank you 💙 so much !
Really good info! Thank you
YW! Im glad it helped you out. Now if they legs can go back down to $280 instead of $320 I can make so more videos”
I was at my local Costco in Fresno CA box of 10lbs was 359.00 and it had that clear top skipped the king for 2.5 pounds of wagyu A5 instead everything super expensive now with inflation.
I see. Yeah we’re $359 too. I never got the Wagyu before. Let me know how it goes!
Greetings know me from malaysia my friend 👍🙏🙏🙏
Thank you 🇺🇸💙
Some people just have money.
I have seen them many times and thought how wonderful it would be to buy one... unfortunately not yet..
Well ironically I found a picture today with a box of the Costco crab in my phone from march 2021 and they were $249! As of today there about $359 down $20 from last week. I got them for $379. Keep waiting until February I assume with supply and the economy you may get them for $350 ish I know that’s a lot but just think it’s basically the total of going to 2-3 fancy seafood restaurants and with this box depending your family and etc, this will last a while! 👌🏼
buy one legs in supermarket. At least you do not have drop 300+ for whole box. I miss casino buffets lol.
@@trevormiles5852 i love buffets too💙
Same with me I’m not a big fan of the claw I don’t like king crab claws or snow crab claws
they are 550 now talk about inflation
Holy Santa 🎅 Claus. Where do you live? It’s holding here at $336.00 for a box (10 lbs)
:)😊
What size are they ?
I know "16/20" is med., so yours must be 9/12
9/12
That exact same box at Coscto is now around $350.00
Yeah this video was made a little while back. Prices are slowly coming down from $389 to about $360 on avg. it’s still not Alaskan King Crab so I hope they start bringing it in vs this Russian King Crab.
I visited Costco today 3/10/2022 $499 /10lb
You cant hear me but I’m Raging right now. As long as we don’t buy it,we can go back to 300’s we have the power not them. Also Artic Seafoods is Russian Caught King Crab, i wonder how long Costco will use them given all the sanctions against them?!
Thanks for the info 👍🏽
Your Welcome 💙🦀
My fingers take a lot of prinkling while eating Alaska King Crab.

20 dollars of inflation over 10 years?
Yes, we have been getting this box for over 10 years and as most people know, salmon, crab, scallops and seafood tends to be high & consistently the same price over the years. We’ve been a Costco member since 2007, in 2010 on my 30th bday we got a box and it was 218.00. It was also that price for many years after that also. Aug 2021 it became $379, and as of today (05/2022) its $429 a box! Also remember Costco keeps prices down for consumers even after Covid. I also talked to the Seafood Regional Manager and he said costo for most of there products they don’t charge no more than 6-7% above market. He advised if prices are high people wont pay nor will they find a value shopping there.
I remember it was $149 before covid now it is $379 a box
I know right. Before I could even afford a box the lowest price I ever remember paying for was $218. To see it now at $389 for our Costco is nuts. I stopped buying at $300, that was our family’s max budget then as it is still now. The problem is I’m gonna be waiting for. While before we see it at $300.
Glad I live where it’s much cheaper than that 😂. I ship it back to my family
Can I trust u
That’s a good box.
I know. I got pretty lucky 🍀🦀
That case is $319.00 now. I just brought one yesterday.
That’s right, I updated my description a week ago with the new pricing.
Try not to think of it! Close your eyes. Think of butter and crab legs. 💙🦀

i bought it only 250 bucks...u live in an expensive area...it's cheap in texas or florida..
Well someone msg me and said it was $330 where they live and I thought they were in Hawaii and they said it was Florida. Idk where you live but that’s awesome
In Florida, its $349.00
Good Lord. Everything is so much more there. I remember trying to find a car and bike out there back in 2017 before I got sick and it was like $1000-3000 more for the same item.
Massachusetts $400
You guys. You guys. You guys.
🙏 Ty Ty Ty
watching this while king crab is now like 41 dollars a pound..... fml
I know! Over here it was $42/lb and its finally $37/lb (370) a box
Does anyone know how much it is in NJ Costco?
319$ in NJ when I last checked
Wow. Our Costco just got rid of the $389 boxes. I wish they were $319. I would get a box now because, if you don’t know” Costco stops buying items when the prices go way up, they will get rid of it. I watched a documentary on it. Also we have friends who work there. They said if a item is a Costco and later the cost goes up and people stop buying it or Costco feels it’s not a value they will pull the item. For the last month our Costco has 0 King Crab boxes
Hello 👋 I'm new to your channel
Welcome! Thanks for stopping by
218-245 not much if we are blaming inflation...lol
Just bought king crab for $10.99 a lb at Fred Meyers Regular $39.99 what a steal
Holy S*it Santa Clause. That’s a amazing deal. Did it smell ok and look ok. I ask cause sometimes you can tell when a seafood item is fresh and then it dies early and then they discount it and put in on the ice shelf and sale in front with all the other seas food and fish. Also what state are you in ?!
It smelled and taste great I'm in Portland Oregon
@@sonnybunac Nice! Thanks 4 sharing. Greetings from California 🦀💙
I miss Cali I'm from Santa Barbara. OREGON HAS DUNGENESS CRAB for cheap
@@sonnybunac Santa Barbara is cool. Fun place to chill. Our dungies are about 19.99/lb unless I drive all the way to San Jose for 12.99.
And I thought that I acted like a spoiled brat when Dunkin' Donuts doesn't put enough ice in my iced coffee...nice video nonetheless.
King crab is pretty big.I want to try and fry some soon 🦀🦀
🚨🚨🚨 Warning ⚠️ lol That’s an expensive experiment 🧪 to mess up on. My Advice is to thaw them out. Make a bomb spicy sauté in a large pan and stir fry the king crab for 12-15 mins. It’s safer than frying please you don’t want to ruin that tasty meat 🦀💙
Please don’t fry!
Those boxes are like $400 and some odd amount at my costco :-(
What in the Santa Maria is going on.

All day everyday 💙🦀
24.99 is so so pricing, good pricing is under $20/lb.
Agreed however that pricing is mid 2000’s i have been following Seafood since 1993, grew up at the fish emporium restaurant and as a teen to an adult. Crab & lobster left the $20/lb long ago. Covid and supply isn’t helping nor inflation. Basically were getting ripped off no matter how we slice whats fair to pay. Best advice is to always shop around as cheesy as it sounds
@@FadiSetGo law of supply and demand, less people buying = cheaper price.e
How much
Where we live there $31.99 a pound so a Box from Costco is $319.99
Personal Dinners for King Crab already plastic wrapped are $85-90
All my local stores are selling King Crab for like $55/lb. It's ridiculous =/
Yeah i know. Don’t buy it otherwise they’ll keep it at that price
@@FadiSetGo 2 years ago, I was getting it for $18/lb from Safeway. Times have changed
no closed caption ,
It’s active on the video. I believe you just need to press the menu button or the 3 dots to activate CC
Before Covid this box used to be 250.00
Now 499.00
I know right. I have a photo of when one of our boxes were $218, after covid seafood dreams for common folks died.
I did go today to Costco Business and got 1lb of lump crab meat for $18.49 and during covid they were $32.99 for 1 can, I can make 6-7 decent crab cakes. It’s all I have to look for 💙🦀
Just paid 185 for a 1 1/2 pound 😢
Oh my Lord. It’s $38/lb here that would of been $58.50. where are you?
How old is this video. Prices are a lot higher now. 6/2/21
3 months ago. They are holding at $299 a box right now and it’s still only artic seafoods and not Alaskan:(
@@FadiSetGo how do you know alaskan vs pacific
@@LopsidedCircle Pacific is the “brand” Costco uses.
It’s crab from Alaska. Artic is the current brand there using and it’s Russian.
For the last few months they only “in my area” NorCal” are bringing in Artic brand only. If the Box says artic seafood (which I have a video also for ) it’s from Russia. This video is for Pacific Seafood so it’s from Alaska
And today it’s 549 for that box. 😢
Omg! What state are you in ?!

This box is running 400 and something bucks now. SMH.
Yeah me 2, i was fine with $336 for a short while. But it never changed slowly from $336 to 400+ it just jumped from 1 week for $74 more a box. I was like “bye Felecia” lol

@@FadiSetGo I read that Alaska King Crab is plentiful around the cold ocean waters of Alaska.
Yeah they are, however there numbers were to low at the end of the 2021 season so they stopped the 2022 fishing season for King Crab got the First time in many year, That’s why all of Costco’s king crab was from Russia and due to covid and inflation/supply it was over $400 a box bs $260
It’s gone up 20% since this video
Let’s go Brandon
