- The Sambuk ship allows you to have the best end game build. Using special furniture pieces with the flame bombards and Leopold, you will always trigger the explosive scorched perk to destroy groups of enemies easily!
Great ship for dealing with rogue ships and for plunder events.
Even does high damage when in PVP events!

My main problem with the Sambuk, is that it is the Sambuk. It's only a tiny bit faster than the Snow when it has the tailwind, but a LOT slower when it you are in irons, as the "heavy breeze" effect is far more common and long lasting (and you know how the game is, you're always in a headwind). And of course, it has like half the health/tank/cargo space. My snow is set up similarly to this, except less reliance on ablaze, and more on explosions. Works pretty well. Can one shot the little 2 ship rogue groups if you get lucky with the leopold to start. Fire bombards up front, and dard's on the sides. Still a work in progress.
I will try this on my Sambuk though, I do enjoy raining death from afar. The front flamethrower thing is hilarious when you get a clump of little ships... sometimes even when you don't want it to be (Fighting near your PoE port against the spawned rogue... little faction ship gets too close and BOOM! LOL.)
Yeah it’s very annoying when always sailing into that headwind with it. I mainly just use it for battles, if I’m on my pieces of 8 runs I’ll switch to the brig with all stamina bonus furniture.

Ok here this. Fire bombards... termite.
Then add furniture
Front. Left. Right. 10% increase. Add blaze damage 10%. Then add 19% bombard additional damage.
I like it!
I’m not a big fan on how the rockets aiming is, makes it tricky. But I have seen the termites used well in a flame build

It does really well against boss ships including the ghost ship. I took down a ghost ship in the East Indies by myself with this build. Only thing I swapped out was the major furniture piece to the munitions mixer. But for crowd control go with the exact build in the video :) The ablaze effect makes their health drop so much quicker. Plus if you can have a team mate with the Padawakang, your abilities will really increase their damage too

Server swap if you run low on bombard bombs you can buy 150 for 250 silver at saint Anne’s and teluk 600 bombards for 1000 never run out

I currently have the bombard crate blue print so I craft about 500 bonbards at a time from the black smith
Or just loot wrecks with a crow bar when doing things like delivery from you manufacturers and craft them in bulk for cheaper. Without server swaping.

Fyi, you dont want the ablaze effect to last longer. More applications of ablaze cause more ship effect procs

I'll give you a Royal Custodian armor if you want ive gotten like a dozen, they are pretty much guaranteed drop from the world supply convoy event and legendary heists.
Also you should try the Megaphone Major slot especially for boss or elite ship fights.

I just checked out the megaphone because of your recommendation and it looks great for boss fights. Do you think the splash damage counts as a hit from the bombards or would it need to be a direct hit?
@@gusomajic I havent tested splash vs direct damage for the proc. But I dont miss enough not to get direct hits to proc it. I just know in sustained fights it probably the most effective major furniture for dps.

Does this work well against structures in raids too? Like the Dutch forts? It’s a shame the Sambuk and other things are locked behind a ridiculously expensive in game currency paywall of pieces of 8 cos I’m finding them too slow to get any decent amounts. It will take me til about Xmas to afford just the sambuk blueprint at the rate I’m going, it’s a second job.
Yeah it works great against the structures for raids, the ablaze effect takes hold on all structures pretty quickly and the splash damage helps to take out nearby structures.
Yeah it is a big grind to finally afford the Sambuk. My best advice I can give is re invest your pieces of 8 into maybe 4 manufactories that are close to Sainte-Anne and get them to about level 7.
That way you can do a much shorter and quicker run and collect a lot each time

Get the 100% increased duration effect purple furniture, very good for your ablaze buffed dmg!! The reduced status dmg wont matter your bombards do almost double damage for double as long as
I was tossing up between the 2 and couldn’t decide, but I’ll definitely switch it over now and play with it more!
I’m thinking it’ll be really good for PVP

So far no one has contested my take over opportunities in Africa so I haven’t had a chance to test it in PvP
so i like the looks of this build but my question now instead of having fire bomb 3 all around, what about using the blue spectre on bow zamzama 3 on sides and firebomb 3 in stern would that work to?
Yeah that set up would definitely work too, you’ll just have to fight at a lot closer distances. I have a lot of fun using the set up you just said but because the Sambuk can be a little squishy I try to take down pirates at distance before they get too close
i prefer to use the brigantine with scurlock long nines on the bow, the fore bombards everywhere else and leoppold 2 bc im still grinding for leopold 3
I tried the scurlock long 9s because they read great and I really wanted to like them but I must have been using them wrong, because they felt kind of weak
wow realy finally somebody found out that this ship is the best im playing on it from begining crazy dps but i dont use bombards i use Zamzana 3 on sides fast reload its crazy the ships go down like domino
Yeah I don’t get how people think their brig could out play the Sambuk?? The ablaze status effects we can stack is insane.
I do enjoy the zamzanas, but I always seem to come back to the level 3 fire bombards

I love the sambuk but I run a completely different setup for close range fighting I do like the long range and might make an extra just to use this type of setup

I love it at range because it keeps me away from most danger, definitely needed when getting swarmed by level 11 rogues haha
@gusomajic I use the specter in front the zammies on the sides and a fire bombard on the back... surprisingly I use the termites on my ship which if used right can take down those level 11s without firing another weapon

I find the termites/rocket launchers so hard to aim because I can’t clearly see the impact point on the indicator. Plus it would be great for plundering I’d imagine

I tried a different approach on the sambuk. Zam 3’s on front and sides, dards on rear (to get to lvl 12), Leo 3 on aux, royal cust armor, scrapper station, volatile fuel, gunpowder bench, Demi works, spiked war horn. It’s a beast up close and you get crew attacks often to help
Would your build be better than the zam 3’s?
The fire bombards 3 and zams 3 basically do the same thing but just different play styles. I prefer the fire bombards because I can hit other ships from much longer distances, most of the time they are sunk before they even fire back on me.
Whereas like you said the zam 3s are a beast up close, but that usually means you’ll take more damage too.
Bombards aim can be a bit tricky to get use to but once you hone in your aim I find it better for me. I hope this helps :)

I’ll work on a really good snow build. But generally because it has really high hull health and brace strength it would definitely work well for close range battles. I’m thinking dardenelles on the sides with blue spectre on front and flame bombards on rear. And the new poison mortar for auxillery would be good at getting the enemy stamina really low so you can do heaps of crew attacks
@@gusomajic sounds good might try that out should work fine than with the furniture like the increases charge rate of crew attack and crew attack dmg+heal after crew attack what u think?

You could even try the new hull armour from the black market that releases toxic cloud when they shoot at you whilst you are braced. It could be a really nasty close range build

Can anybody inform me on what i should be doing next exactly...i got all manufacturers in red isles at lvl 2 side from the ones that came higher... what's the next thing i should be focusing on? Cuz im dumping my coin of 8 into helm upgrades now but not sure if that's a wise decision or not.. should i save up to unlock indies?
I find it best to focus on red isles first and get them levelled up to around level 5. And focus on a core of maybe 4 close manufactories to Sainte-Anne and level them as much as possible. I have heaps of them as level 7 and I go around once every 10 hours and collect thousands of pieces of 8 easily

Serious question.. The Sambuk increases damage to enemy ships with the ablaze effect by 50%. Will the Gunpowder Bench increase 10% of the "default" damage that the ship would have without its perk, making it 60%, or will it increase 10% of the whole thing?

@@gusomajic Definetely do boarding actions if you can. If a ship is low health, don't do a crew attack on it until you can do a boarding action one. One of the 3 I got was as a bonus.
@@Taoscape I’ve heard mixed answers on whether or not boarding increases the chances. Definitely worth it though if it helps boost our chances

My brig outruns the sambuk and out dmgs it due to the snake + manovour speed. Sambuk can't keep up 🤷♂️
Definitely hard to keep up with brigs if they get ahead!
What’s the snake + manovour thing?
You get in front of them and use bombard to make them move, then hit the rear and swivle left and right to also get sides firing... Keep going left and right and firing they'll try catch you but be ablaze and only way to catch you is sail ripping but that's manageable
Also if you want or need even more leeway add long 9s at the back so you shed sails to debuff them

Scoped is worthless for this build, yes, the extra damage can be nice but there are better ones to make this ship more well rounded such as the water tank which decreases bracing fatigue and boosts stamina recovery.
I agree it is very specialised.
The water tank is great for the Snow, almost unbreakable!
I used scoping station to keep me perfect for long distance engagements.
But I’m going to try a close range build next with the Sambuk and the water tanks will be perfect for that :)
Brig is the best in game and its by a mile
I definitely prefer my brig for collection runs but combat the Sambuk seems to deal way more damage. Every brig I have come across in a PvP event I can get him ablaze quickly and then it’s basically over. But I know my time will come haha

Yeah it’s not great for tanking shots, that’s why I built it to deal massive damage at range. But it still holds its own in close quarters battles if you keep moving :)

If this is the build😂 try scurlock cannons called Long nines. Beat gunes in game + fire ones with 24 soul material.
I’ve tried the long 9s but I must have used them wrong because I found them kind of weak! What’s the 24 soul material part?

I wouldn't say the best, it is great for PvE but still a situational build.
Personally i don't think there is a "best" build yet.
Sambuk, brig & snow all have great builds for particular tasks but none that are great all round builds.
I guess it’s not the best if you’re doing long distance cut throat cargo event because the brigantines will always out run us.
So far I’ve had no dramas melting through Snow ships, but I need more PvP events to get the best understanding.
Hopefully season 1 introduces more PvP options for us to use
@@gusomajicas a matter of fact the sambuk is really good for pvp, i can usually 3 hit most players with the sambuk. i have not had a problem in cut throat unless the brig gets the jump on me and gets it before i do. also doing tear damage to bring is ez when u use dans. love watching brigs go poof unless they build around fire and explosives. thats why i use sail tearing. brig and sam are super SS tier but each have their own benefit.

@@gusomajici do the long 9s on the port side bc u get 4 instead of 2. for the front i use zamazama, zama does well too againts sails bc most ppl think that just bc you have the 80% for sail regen its not really that fast bc i can lock someone down who runs and just poop on them in the matter of seconds due to all the procs.

It still works well, but with no weak spots available it makes it hard to trigger massive damage!
