Generally speaking, so glad I’ve discovered y’all’s channel! Lots fabulously practical points interspersed amongst genuine humor and levity, both of which are oft lacking in my experience of engineering discussion spaces. Cheers and thanks for what y’all are doing - looking forward to more! (And specifically speaking, for “organic coloration” mastering needs, the FM overdrive on this would be splendid and I feel certain my wallet is about to be significantly lighter...)
Laughed my ass off watching this one. Better than most stand up comedy out there. I'm also guessing that Dan's trying to find out in how many videos he can wear that hoodie with a hole in the right arm until someone makes a comment about it :)
Made the mistake of demoing this and wound up having to splash out more for it than I've spent on any other plugin. I use it for resampling and sound design, the saturation and way it works was the closest I've found to using a hardware/Eurorack filter.
gyrator or GIC circuits convert capacitance to inductance basically it means capacitors or resistors would act as transformers. My guess is vertigo is generating transformer type saturation per band. filters created with gyrators are very interesting
It would be interesting to do The Flux Alchemist. When it came out years ago it was like the holy grail for mastering and the price reflected that at around $800 Now you can get it on offer for $80 but it is still a very powerful and flexible dynamics processor.
They are just sitting on it using the supplied feet. I just made the rest of the stuff sit at the same angle...the rack behind them starts at the same height and slopes upwards...I had to cut a hole in the desk for the rack gear to poke through.👍
Well, it looks good ;) I'm going crazy between these combo from SSL or go with the Console 1 mk3, I'm pretty sure the faders are coming soon from softube as well. Thanks@@StudioLife101
I think we did but didn't post it..... Just another saturation plugin...nothing particularly special.. I think we reviewed a bunch of them that month and didn't want to over saturate on Saturators..😂 😂
@@StudioLife101 man..that 400B setting...basically along with Nebula ATA Transformer Saturation....the 2 best "Transfromer Saturation Plugin" dont knock a plugin...just because you havent found a "Nitch" for it yet...but that 400B as a send on every bus...definatley gives you very very good console transformer warmth emulation
@@StudioLife101 They have an Awesome Free Bundle ( MFreeFXBundle ) and Sales each week on different plugins. Great solid plugins that not use alot of CPU. If i would complain about something it would be the GUI.
