Love this format ! I think Elsayed is good because partly because he's fast. But as he grows older, he'll lose speed so he'll be forced to reinvent himself. A little bit like Heinzer had to.
I can’t wait until Elsayed gets Heinzer in the draw-madness! One thing I find interesting about Elsayed is what he does with his grip. He is constantly going from full pommel right at the end to holding it halfway to holding right up against the guard, especially when he does that big beat. Awkward as hell to fence, I bet.
Related question, can you change grip in French grip (as in change from close to guard to slipping into full pommelling) in one fencing phase (before ref says halt)?
I honestly don't get why all his use of the unarmed hand, covering and fidgeting (with mask, with connection to the cord behind him) during actual fencing time isn't carded. Covering is against the rules at ANY time, not only when the opponent is actually attacking.
I haven’t seen Doug for years. Miss you buddy!!! See you at the next dynamo camp!!!
Great video! Doug is cool. Thank you for inviting him.

It would be fun to watch for sure! although heinzer has had a significant slowdown in recent times!

@@christianalbertjahns2577 you can change how you hold it but you cant throw it as you attack, hard to spot by a ref but easy to see on video.
@@GPFencing so as long as it is still in my hand, I can change grip as I please, right?
@@christianalbertjahns2577 as long as you don't throw it while attacking you can change the grip however you like!
I wish you showed where the winner hits. It’s hard to see where he hits on the video for the beginner like me.
doug tableman keeps beating me at tournaments :(( nice video though
Yoo wassup max
