In the 34 years that I have watched cricket, Wasim Akram is the best fast bowler of the world. Better than Donald, Steyn, McGrath, Walsh, Waqar, Anderson. The only other bowler that comes close IMO is Ambrose. I didn’t see much of Hadlee or Marshall so can’t speak to them.
Sarfaraz Nawaz invented reverse swing then passed on to mudassar nazar / imran khan. Wasim learnt from above and then passed on the art to English bowlers at Lancashire Country. That's how boy from Burnley, James Anderson learnt reverse swing. Even zaheer khan taught reverse swing to James Anderson as said by James Anderson himself.
