1 political social and economic influence in the residing country
2 business opportunity which can link to home so in this way we can increase India's export
3 vision of the world. When you talk back home you can provide more insight about other countries apart from what Bollywood provides
4 and on top of all as our PM says we are the brand ambassador of our national in other country.

Brain Drain is now called Brain Chain. Country's diaspora can act as intermediate chain to increase trade, influence policies, increase friendship, promote tourism, increase soft cultural power. bring investment, new business & advanced technology etc. It becomes Brain Chain if diaspora is used for these added benefits. Indian diaspora is providing many such added benefits apart from remittances.
I had the same thoughts, when US sanctioned India for nuclear test in 1998. These Indian diaspora were the one who helped us getting $18,000 foreign currency to our country for settling payment for trades with other countries

In india a large brain drain happened because of reservations man who is getting 80% not getting admission in dream university or gov job but a man who is getting 60% getting jobs & all help i know peoples who goes abroad because of this reservation thing and they all are very smart, intelligent i am a obc and also feel sad for those people reservations should be on economic basis not on cast or religion basis.

Remittances are good for india bcs india import bill is very huge and for counter the foreign exchange outflow it will help india by inflow of this money it helped us for balance of payments

I do feel proud after getting to know about such record breaks of our country but at the same time I feel that there is a strong need to work upon increasing our per capita income rates so that our valuable human reform will not become compelled to go into foreign nations and work .Our country has so much potential and we all Indians can work together to develop our nation.
Though we do not have good diplomatic relationship with China but there is so much to learn from that country .Despite China not being a democratic country the strategies they are using to develop are worth appreciating .
we do need remittance but in my opinion everything must be balanced .As ,India is the most populous country in the world and therefore we can use this as an advantage and can manage to bridge the gap by having remittance as well as by increasing per capita income . So that instead of enforced working in foreign it becomes our choice if we want to of not.

I work out of India and have three companies abroad. I am sending dollars back because of the growing opportunities in India. The country is developing at a very fast pace, and nowhere else in the world can we earn returns as high as those available in India. That is why the whole world is investing in India at the moment, especially NRIs. You should have looked at this perspective.

The export of skilled and unskilled labour literally translates to a desperate Economic situation. People should not be forced to go to some foreign country to work because they cannot get that salary or even worse, a job in India.
Considering our population its impossible to prive jobs to all, but when few people go offshore and earn creates jobs for the other people in India as well. Its a good way to bring money back to our country. We all thank the people who are working outside and helping India and their families grow.
There can be no compromise on the fact that we have to increase employment opportunities in India and at the same time we have to aim to increase the per capita income.
But we never deny the role of remittances in Indian economy, it is also very important for India's foreign monetary reserves.
Also, the more Indians go abroad for jobs or other work, the more Indian ancestry will increase, and the more foreigners will know about Indian culture.
