As a long-time SWSE fan, I've gotta say that this was a pretty accurate video! There were only a few things which weren't quite correct. 1. Stormtroopers aren't a threat for very long, because their attack bonus is so low. They can aid another and be put into squads to extend their usefulness, but eventually, they can only hit things on a nat 20. 2. A number of times, you say, "That's all you add to find X." But there are plenty of miscellaneous bonuses and penalties here and there which aren't listed in the formula because they aren't always taken into account. 3. A level 2 Jedi's BAB is 2, not 1. 59:00 4. Aiming requires 2 swift actions, not just 1. 5. The rules and pdfs of the books can be found for free online, but they weren't released under the same OGL as 3.5. So... Most of the explanations that I've seen start with a character building approach, so seeing someone starting with a rules-based approach was a bit novel for me!
@@stephencahill7821 Thanks. I have not played for a long time. This was a live stream rules demonstration, which means, I will make mistakes. This is also why no one else does it 😉
Great video. I just tracked down a copy of this game for my son who loves Star Wars and Dungeons & Dragons (and other RPGs) because we found the Fantasy Flight edition too fiddly and convoluted. (I love the original West End Games version but he's more used to d20 style games.)
@@Sunfisher61 core system itself is pretty great. Well playtested and most things covered. But you definitely have to spend time building things like ships from scratch. Or do a lot of digging online to fill out lore and other pieces.
Hey mate could you explain to me how do I roll my force points? Or how much i should have? I playing a jedi sentinel and we are level 15 in my current campaign
The force points are detailed on page 92 to 93 of the Star Wars Saga core rules. Your force points are = 5 + one-half Your character level rounded down. You have 5 + 7 = 12 force points.

Thanks. Try Star Wars 5e, it will be easier.
Love this version of Star Wars RPG. Our group is looking to try Star Wars 5e next just to see how it compares.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Star Wars 5e is something I will discuss in the future.
How was SW5e?

Very very nice for this. Could you make a video /guide about equipment and misc? Maybe how to make a droid companion? Thank you.
Glad you liked it. I will cover more in the future.
Found this and kinda help full. Would do video covering space combat ?
At some point next year.

nice to see another kiwi, imma be honest, i pirated the books online (just way too expensive buying off 3rd parties), are the maps and minis needed?
Thanks. You kind of need to, they are out of print now.
Why do you keep calling a single die "a dice"?
Is that a New Zealand thing?
It's the modern convention of the whole world, but is not used in North America. Single can be either die or dice now.
