Good on Rio for giving the Brazilian team due praise. The English never give credit to the opposition. It's always about how they didn't play well or other circumstances. The golden generation might have been the best players England had in a while but Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Cafu, Carlos were the generational talents.
Robbie Baggio was one of the most gifted players in history. For club and country. Just ask Pep. He played with him. He lost all his pace after his knee injuries. They Said he wouldn't play again. He took no fir an answer. Had 4 knee surgeries on his right knee. 2 on his left. Went on to be a incredible player for Italy, Fiorentina, Juventus and AC Milan. As an attacking midfielder /second striker. Scored 205/ 406 games in Seria A. Hardest league in the world then. 36/74 games for Italy. Ranked 16th greatest player out of 100 in history. That's what made past generations great. Imagine what Baggio could have done if healthy! Today they are weak minded. Have a give up mentality. Over payed. Most of them run from adversity. Rather go shopping and tweet about there new haircut. Cry at the drop of a hat. Get on with it! Harden up or get lost. Nobody cares about your feelings. You get payed well to kick a ball. All the best. You reached your dream. Most people don't!
An unbelievable player. If he hadn't suffered so much with terrible injuries he'd be remembered with even higher esteem. He still had an amazing career even with all his bad luck.
Brazilian Ronaldo as well, came back from a horrific knee injury to win a World Cup and become a Galatico. Can't imagine any modern day player having that elite mentality.

@@tdmprofit3708 why are you making me talk bad about that Milan team? I would never disrespect them but…no…they wouldn’t “destroy” Barca. I think you forgot how good Barca was. From all the teams in history, Milan was one of the greatest teams of all time but Barca is above them all. We have never seen telepathic football like that before or after that Barca team under Pep. It is easily the greatest team of all time. They played faster than opponents were able to think or act. Strange the midfield? Barca were the best pressers and passers in the world aside from being technically superior so if anything they’d both press each other like madmen but Barca would outplay them as well. Also, you don’t have to lie to make your point either. - Even R9 admitted Messi said Messi from early. - Maldini said he was lucky to not face Messi at the time. - Also no need to disrespect Messi when he was getting GOAT shouts in 2010 Milan was legendary but Barca was next level stuff.
Madrid that won 3 champions leagues in a row were better. Absolute monsters in every position. Ramos Kroos Modric Benzema Bale Ronaldo Varane Marcelo. Absolute monsters
I liked what Rio said about American sports, they usually get a bad rep in the UK but this was a good point. Another thing if you look at is how different the mic'd up footage is of let's say an NFL game is from the prem, the energy is a lot more constructive and positive there
He is what he is now. Super fast and dangerous cutting in from the left wing on through ball or counter attack. But inconsistent and struggles to make an impact against compact defenses.
Always liked Rio. He was under a lot of pressure not just when he joined United, but when he went to Leeds too. What like? What's magical about that?
Roy is spot on there are experience players around Rashford it’s just Rashford isn’t good enough once his pace goes his got nothing in his game has been doing the same thing he did when he first started in the prem
Love the way Roy and gary are with each other, roy sliding jokes, roasters on him, gary laughing at it.always being respectful, amazing show
Best football chat bar none. Just keeps getting better. Roy's shrewd smile 😂
Just sell rashford or we’ll keep having this conversation we’ve been having for 8 years
Correct. Hate Utd but Rashford and Fernandez should be long gone.

he’ll be sold the season after this one if he performs bad again next season he’ll be gone no questions asked
@@scripted644 I bet we’ll make the same excuses for him to stay another season.
@@finnewberry8738 ha apologies, I’d normally just put a rat emoji so not used to typing his name 😂
Don’t forget Dida and Gilberto. Arguably the best in the world at their positions at the time
Lucio centre back was a colossus
Strong as a bull athletic like a gymnast
That team was magic
Roy Keane is bang on
Absolutely brilliant interview with Rio I had always wanted this one to happen. His stories are amazing.
This is the best thing to watch at the moment. Great TV, natural banter and honest conversation.
I was binge watching some old episodes and was wondering today itself when will they get Rio on the show and they did! Gonna enjoy this one
I love how Ian shortens everyones name, Ri, Gal, Jay ❤
Well spotted jil
I was wondering why he was he calling him Gal. Confused me a lot heheheh
Ain't that normal 😂
@think it's a london thing gal for gary ,wer i live it's gazkapowwowlearning
U forgot roy
in those champions league finals against united Pep changed football forever
roy kicking off about the mini roles is golden 'i love me mini rolls'
Makes my day seeing a new episode released. This was up there with the best one.
Mini Rolls really need to get Roy on an ad.
Ok i'll ask Pep
An unbelievable player. If he hadn't suffered so much with terrible injuries he'd be remembered with even higher esteem. He still had an amazing career even with all his bad luck.
Brazilian Ronaldo as well, came back from a horrific knee injury to win a World Cup and become a Galatico. Can't imagine any modern day player having that elite mentality.
@@zulqarnain84, ask him what!?🤔
You obviously don't know of Baggio or else you wouldn't use your attempt at very unfunny humour... Sarcasm I do believe it's called...

The way the players describe that Barca team is scary. They were truly the best team of all time.
Barca took their souls that game.
Ac Milan of the 90's would destroy Barcelona. Best left back in history... Maldini. One of the 2 best sweepers in history... Baresi. One of the greatest right backs... Tassoti. One of the greatest central defenders in history..Costacurta. All italian internationals. Playing in the hardest league in Seria A. That was the top level then. Defensive Midfield.. Rijjkard. Middle.. Donadoni , Ancellotti, Gullit and Seedorf. Up front Van Basten ( 3 balloon Dor's and greatest centre forward in history). Along with R9. Papan was the other forward. You think Messi was better than R9, you people are delusional. Milan would strangle the midfield. The defense would be like a chain around your neck. Van Basten would have a field day with the Barcelona circus at the back. People need to wake up!
@@tdmprofit3708Not a hope, that Barcelona team from 08-12 was the greatest ever, football we never see again and Messi the 🐐was the greatest player ever!!
@@garyoconnor7004pumped up on performance enhancers
- Also no need to disrespect Messi when he was getting GOAT shouts in 2010
Milan was legendary but Barca was next level stuff.
Another thing if you look at is how different the mic'd up footage is of let's say an NFL game is from the prem, the energy is a lot more constructive and positive there
Love Roy he bring sooo much to this dynamic group. Love watching this each week, I would love to be there.
What is Rio on about. I watch a lot of football. Rashford has never taken my breath away. He’s not a bad player. But he’s far from great.
Chelsea free kick was a breath taking moment
He is what he is now. Super fast and dangerous cutting in from the left wing on through ball or counter attack. But inconsistent and struggles to make an impact against compact defenses.
If rashford doesn't sort it out he will become another lingard
It’s too late. He should already have instilled a good work ethic but he doesn’t and seems full of himself.
He's an overhyped Dele Ali.
More like welbeck
@@StePea-y7y at least welbeck always tried, his ability isn't that great but the effort was always there
@@munaali840 Welbeck was messed up injuries had nothing to do with his ability.
Wrighty's "Have we?!" to the Nandos at the start 😂😂
Always liked Rio. He was under a lot of pressure not just when he joined United, but when he went to Leeds too. He was a British transfer record when he went there and I remember seeing his debut live at Filbert Street. He had a rocky start and Leicester won convincingly 3 - 1, but faced the challenge and became a better player for it.
love all the banter between each of the casts and guests!
