Allow me to differ in opinion when it comes to comparing the Bezza and the 2nd gen MyVi. I was comparing a used MyVi and a used Bezza, and I found the Bezza to be a real cheap, but not cheerful and real tinny car. Reminded me of an Iswara I used to drive. The MyVi, otoh, of similar vintage, if you can call it that, was much better screwed together. Went for the MyVi, never regretted it. Esp when I sit in a Bezza as a Grab ride.
@@PistonMalaysiathe Bezza was a year younger, but I dont recall the mileage to be honest. I've owned Kancils and MyVis, and have driven Kenaris, Axias, Kelisas and a Viva. The Bezza is beza indeed.... one Perodua product I personally would NOT buy. There are better P2 products.
Hi there, being a student your most important aspects in a car would be reliability and affordability. With that in mind we recommend a used Perodua Axia. They’re not too old, considerably cheap and easy to maintain. We’re not sure if you will be travelling long distances but if not then the Axia would be great.
Hi! Yes high maintenance costs, availability of parts, and the general pushing and shoving of customers between distributors. Stellantis has just taken over the brand in Malaysia, so hopefully better days are ahead, but for now, you might not want to buy any used Peugeots.
You can buy an old Proton Wira, just be sure to check for accident damages and put aside some money for servicing and repairs. Get a good mechanic to take a look at the car first before buying.
Hello. You may have a margin for negotiation. Probably negotiate for 16k, but that would be depending on the condition of the car. Look out for cigarette smell, check the lubricant to see the colour and feel the viscosity of the engine oil, check if the air-conditioning is functioning, and if possible, ask for service records. Otherwise, the City is a good car.
I'm foreigner working in Malaysia. I need a vehicle to commute my daily life. Now, I do afford 20k. I need a vehicle which is reliable and retain the resell price. Later, I might want to upgrade better vehicle or invest somewhere else. Should I buy 2020 used super motorbike or 2010/14 used car? Which vehicle depreciate faster?
Hi, the superbike will be more convenient but you might get stuck in Malaysian rain. The used car will be better but traffic and parking prices might be a burden. As for depreciation, selling the superbike might be harder for you since most shops will offer ridiculously low prices. For the car, you might be able to get better value.

Oh wow, that is a refreshing insight. Both cars were from the same year and similar mileage?

Hi, May i know the reason why we need to stay away from Peugeots? Is it because high maintenance?

What car I can buy for 8000 rm to ensure it’s in good condition?
You can buy an old Proton Wira, just be sure to check for accident damages and put aside some money for servicing and repairs. Get a good mechanic to take a look at the car first before buying.
How about Honda City 2009 with 200k km for Rm 19k? Is it worth it? I am a foreigner student and planning to use a car for 1 year.

@@PistonMalaysia Thank you so much for your advice.
How about the 207 Peugeot 2012 model for less than 10k RM? My budget is only 10k and I want a family car that can travel from JB to KL
There is one that is selling for 3k
Would suggest that you stay away from Peugeots. There’s a reason why they are so cheap despite only being 11 years old.
@@PistonMalaysiathanks for the reply, then any suggestion?
@PistonMalaysia do you have any suggestions for the budget and requirement for usage? Also how much do I need to set aside for wear and tear?
