Another lighting hack I like:
When you dig ur floor, dig two down and place ur glow item. Then place slabes over it. Works really well

@@MentalJunction i like doing this the most, if you have a cozy house design (or the painting matches the block palette/how big of a scale you are building at), most of the time i just go to end rods on the ceiling as modern industrial lighting

For the carpet lights, make sure the string is invisible, otherwise the secret technique won't be so secret anymore
Edit: Also the end of the Spyglass bottle segment actually looked like your character was drinking out of the spyglass
You can also use slabs instead of carpets, at least for bedrock edition.
skip the tutorial why didn’t you tell us how to build the rest of the cyborg robot there was obviously command blocks and other stuff we didn’t see

Tip: if u want floating stuff but dont want anyone to stand on it, use void blocks. Its like barrier blocks but walkthrough-able but u can place stuff on it
Don't use carpet, just use slabs. They are still a transparent block. They also have the exact same texture as stone.

in my multiplayer world i have two storage rooms, one for the blocks i use most with labels on signs i made, which are just the name of the block and then in the second storage room i just gave my friends some signs and said "go wild" so they wrote jokes and puns for all of them! pretty good idea if you dont mind some silly names like naming copper "ginger iron" lol

Here is a build hack that i used a long time ago. I am not sure if it still works, so please, test it out a let me know if it works or not. You can (or at least, could) make an invisible barrier using a fence post. First, make a hallway one block wide and two blocks high. Then, go to where you want the barrier to be and replace the block on the floor with a fence post. Finally, cover the entire thing with carpets. Again, i am not sure if this still works or not, i haven't played Minecraft in a long time, so please let me know if it still works or not.
