People don't seem to realize a few things : this is a free event, so of course the crowd is probably not going to be only made of hardcore techno fans. Moreover, it was this season pre-opening of the Plage du Glazart which is a very very cool place to hang out, so I think a lot of people only snatched-up tickets (again, free) to come and chill with their friends even if it not necessarily their kind of music. All in all, the set was great, and even if the crowd was not that energetic, I can tell you that most people I saw there were enjoying themselves :)

speedfreakpsycho I'm not talking about the choice of tracks. I'm talking about their DJ skills. By the way, they both play vinyl and they're still young compared to other artists. (23 and 27)
I am going to tell you what thinks about the current techno. I am 48 years old, I started going out in discotheques and in parties in 1987, at the time of the invasion of Europe by the house and the acid-house from Chicago. I followed all the electronic stages since including Electro Body Music, industrial music, Giorgio Moroder, Kraftwerk and Italo-Disco, I was already a fan of New-Wave and disco from there childhood since I knew the 70s. Suffice to say that I know the electronic and techno scene in particular. I knew the great era of the 90s, and what were they great you will tell me? Firstly at the end of the last century there was a lot of hope for the future, techno was new and it excited a lot of young and old alike, because instead of separating people by category, whether social, racial , sexual, it brought young people together. The usual social codes were fading, the people you met, whether in illegal raves where we were sometimes 10-15 people or in the biggest parties of several thousand people, became friends. Also there was a communion around the music, people respected each other, they did not jostle each other for example. We knew it was the music of the future. Secondly, techno brought such energy that it strengthened you and at the same time made you aware of your unknown mental capacities. It was a revelation to many people. In addition, it was financially accessible to all of us for the paid evenings but many evenings were free, whereas now you have to easily spend € 100 in major festivals. Unfortunately thereafter, Techno became sanitized, minimal techno prevailed, making techno evenings extremely boring, for me at least. And every time I went to one of those parties, I begged the Lord to bring us back the good powerful techno of the 90s. And unlike many people at that time elsewhere, I remained convinced that the techno of the 90s was better. What makes me say that I was right is because in 2010 I went to see Josh Wink in Liège in Belgium, where I live, I noticed that while he was mixing minimal and that people danced a little and talked a lot but being alone I found very boring, he had decided to play a good old techno sequence from the 90s and there people jumped, they were unleashed. While most of them, at least the youngest, had not known these evenings. Good techno is still good techno, no matter how old it is. It does not mean that techno cannot be different from that of the 90s, but it has to bring as many positive things as that of the 90s, whatever the sounds used in the end, as we say here: "It doesn't matter the container as long as we have the pleasure. " But in any case the current return of powerful techno goes in this direction and that's a very good thing, even if we are not yet at the level of the 90s. Techno has the power to heal you, believe the word of a 48 year old clubber & raver. Peace & Rave.❤
@@nirradical I really like this set, the rhythm is good, the sounds are very 90s with a modern touch but it lacks that magic of the 90s, the sounds are not strong and powerful enough for me, the minimal of the 2000-2010s has been there with all the damage it has caused, I hear it in almost all current techno sets, nevertheless it is going in the right direction.
still playing this in 2020...forget whats happening around this time... 2020 is only to party at home...even the dog is getting into this...Thank you Amelie Lens
This brings me back to the 90s, when I first heard hard, dark techno like this at raves. I may be a bit older than most ravers these days, but I still love this music!! 😎😎
Listen to the music, and be at the party is two different things. I download the mp3, listen it into the subway it's gonna be ok. But damn being at this party would be so boring! The crowd is an entire part of the party, the athmosphere is build 50% by the DJ and 50% by the crowd. And to already been in party like this, even with Jeff Mills behind the decks if the crowd react like that : this is not gonna be a good party!
Because it’s bright out and everyone can see everyone some might be sober etc , the rave is not as intense . I guarantee you if she played at night that set would be much more pumped
She consistently picks tunes in her sets that I seem to enjoy the sound of. Read a few comments about 'lack of set progression' which i think were best answered by Amelie during her second Cercle interview when she admitted she preps live sets then just ends up playing on the fly depending on the vibe she gets from the crowd / venue. Saw some other stuff about favourites and who's better, etc. That seems to be about two things - who you listened to a load of first and then who you actually went and saw live and raved to. Those'll be your favourites half the time. I just like the sounds that I like. I generally like Amelie's sets. I usually enjoy Hernan Cattaneo's sets. I personally found Solomun's Boiler Room set (2015) very boring. It's got untold millions of views and he's the most famous DJ on the planet. Says everything you need to know about personal opinions and YT comments.
Weiter so THXXX!!! 100 % ORIGINAL 👌🔝😉👍😘😘😘😘😘
36:10 >> from here it's like .. what are we even talking about? amelie, you're the greatest, talented, passion-driven, humblest, coolest person there is. much love. keep doing you. peace guys
no, she constantly touches knobs without any adjustment at all. There are times where she actually uses a knob or two, but most of it is just touching for show. It's a common thing DJ's do in this DJ worship era we live in. DJ's used to be in a dj booth out of the view of the public. DJ's were never meant to be observed. The whole thing is strange.
that's pretty much every DJ/Producer. as long as they don't go to wild with it, I certainly don't mind. Plus it's those minor adjustments that make a set flawless :)
listen, I know several people are going to go to great lengths to justify knob touching which does absolutely nothing, but all DJ's do it. ALL DJ'S DO IT. I'm just saying it bugs me to no end. This girl doesn't do it once here and there. She's doing it consistently and throughout her entire performance. How many times do you adjust anything while a song is playing on your radio in the car? Open your eyes. Her right hand literally sits under one of the faders like she's doing something with it. She never does. Not a thing. This happens 100 times throughout the performance.
Amazing set Amelie, very very good, thanks for this piece of art. Thanks Cercle for showning us great artists with differente vibes. I would like to ask you to provide subtitles for the interview part, or at least let us enable auto generated ones.

You are right. Go to labythint (Hasselt) where she is resident and you will see one or two smartphones. No need to get worried for a 'new crowd'.
Yes, and most of the people complained about the sand in their shoes....
Yeah and actually the sound was not loud at all.. so that might explain it too

I feel like after I saw this set, I got into techno and started mixing it myself
Her public is completely out of touch while she's spilling her soul. I mean, I'm trying to catch everyting you do because its beautiful.
Dj Amelie awesome! TECHNO !!! Wow congratulations your music is very fantastic !!!💯💯 ma spostate quel tipo cupo dalla consolle !!! Aiuto 🤣🤪🤔
„Lazy crowd“ „I miss the 90s“ „they are just filming“ ...
Why arent you just listen to this awesome set?
Listen to the music, and be at the party is two different things. I download the mp3, listen it into the subway it's gonna be ok. But damn being at this party would be so boring! The crowd is an entire part of the party, the athmosphere is build 50% by the DJ and 50% by the crowd. And to already been in party like this, even with Jeff Mills behind the decks if the crowd react like that : this is not gonna be a good party!
1993-2000 in Tresor Berlin.. that was greathest Partytime ever...
These people don't even realize how great she is!
Because it’s bright out and everyone can see everyone some might be sober etc , the rave is not as intense .
I guarantee you if she played at night that set would be much more pumped
P M 100%
This set made me love Amelie , greetings from Poland
feel the energy transcend time ! great vibes
When we’ve techno, we’ve everything. Greeting from Indonesia✌🏻
Salute
Same here 🙌
Excelente Dj , mucho tiempo sin escuchar algo tan bueno
Amelie Lens that's the best I've heard in years
i love her style! really she feels the music!!! love her so much
So that's what a whole garden of wall flowers looks like.
The hottest set in a long time ... thank you
Top Set - thank you, Damn, she is a real beauty!
Amelie, gracias. Gracias otra vez😎🙏!...
Someone knows the track between
-Glaskin - Groundwork [HFT056] 5:00
- ¿¿¿¿¿Someone????? 7:33
-Amelie Lens - Contradiction (Original Mix) 9:30
eyes behind the door - steve murphy
kva ni se parece... =/
Setaoc Mass - Floating
Anything? This track is still haunting me..
OMG i know right. Anyone for the love of whomever you believe in.
Very creative. I think she threw everyone off on the first song due to its off-beat nature. Keep going Amelie! Your style is very unique.
DAMMMM i am a kid but this is fire!!! i swear! BIG LOVE TO HER!
Says everything you need to know about personal opinions and YT comments.
well said
and people say im a mysoginist....skill is skill, and I worship it when I find it. I bow down, epic.
Weiter so THXXX!!! 100 % ORIGINAL 👌🔝😉👍😘😘😘😘😘
Probably the best set I heard in my life.
Ultime.. 😃😃😃
Belgium quality !! 😋💥💥💥💨
36:10 >> from here it's like .. what are we even talking about? amelie, you're the greatest, talented, passion-driven, humblest, coolest person there is. much love. keep doing you. peace guys
Enrique Berger jajaja buena esa!
Christian Bentzz que subgénero es??
Rebekah es la reina. Amelie pincha mucho a Rebekah
seen knob touching, can't unsee. Good mix none the less.
well i think audio sounds great , i think she was just bring up the volume in the head phones to mix by other sounds in the tracks
no, she constantly touches knobs without any adjustment at all.
I guess I enjoy music too much to notice everyone playing with the knobs :)
Amelie this ist Masterpiece....
Piece of Art..
Your best set in our history
