You know why I like watching you LVD? Because you always organize your hand perfectly. Mana on the left and spells on the right in increasing mana value. Goodness, the satisfaction!
@@Gnilson5 It would be interesting if WOTC would make new subtypes that differentiated what type of "animal" something was. Like aquatic, avian, terrestrial, and so on. It could help categorize these types of things
She's a relatively strong planeswalker, it's not that hard. The fact that she can + and just neutralise a creature is no joke. Only lacking an ult I'd say.
Hey man, when I first got started with MTG when the Android app was released (mid Kaldheim) you were the first MTG youtuber I started following. I've probably made 15+ of your standard decks, meta or not. I personally hate alchemy for its cash grabby nature and I appreciate you not cramming it down my throat every video. I love the diversity of content. I have made 2 of your Historic decks (cant afford more because wildcards) but thank you for the diverse content!. I'm hoping you make some standard brawl decks soon, because I'm sure I can make them. Keep up the great work!
OMG finally! I've been wanting a good Blue Kiora deck and finally found one and of course it was made by one of the best deck creators! Thanks LVD!!! Im happy for this video!
Built a deck around Kiora in historic proper a few weeks ago. Or rather, around Whelming Wave with Kiora being a star of the deck. Rather janky, but EXTREMELY fun and thematic. Glad to see some love for her and her sea monsters in historic brawl!
You use the same countermagic suite I use in monoblue decks (minus Pact of Negation, which I like in the mid-game). But I'm thinking Wash Away should be there in Brawl? Maybe replacing Tale's End? Wash Away counters commanders for 1 mana rather than 2 or any spell for 3. Tale's End sometimes gets stuck in hand if the commander is already out. What do you think?
This match against the Shifting Ceratops...I am absolutely sure that every single player would have given up as soon as it showed its horn. But, nope, not Legend. Yeah, I know, that is WHY he is legendary. He should have deserved to find the right answer. Good Game anyway, yes. :)
Always a good idea to update your Brawl decks, there's usually one or two new additions with each set release. If you follow the logic in the intro, you'll be able to spot which cards fit in the gameplan.
I would like to point out that Kiora's second loyalty ability also prevents damage that would be *dealt* be what it targets. So for example, in game 2, you could've played Kiora on turn 3 and used its second ability on their Sarulf's Packmate so it wouldn't be able to deal damage to Kiora
@16:10 - Kiora could have plussed on the packmate to prevent it from dealing damage - if possible could you explain why you didn't go through with that line?
Shitfing Ceratops was like "Let's make a good card against blue, actually you know what? Let's make a zero efforts 100% auto-win card against mono blue, yeah that'll be fun."
I'll watch your content no matter which format you play, but cards like Tome of the Infinite and especially Key to the Archive are why I've stopped playing Historic. Alchemy dumped a bunch of similar stuff into the format, making it a lot like Hearthstone, and I left Hearthstone specifically because of the extra randomness. The shuffler is random enough for me.
I've always hated shifting ceratops. How is it fair to have a card that basically says "this one card will win the game against any blue deck and no other card combination / skill is required"
I scoop everytime somebody plays with alchemy-cards. i hate this so much, this wasn't magic the gathering anymore. Such stupid cards does'nt belong to Historic Bralw, in my opinion.
As I exclusively play EDH this Historic Brawl content is def. what the doctor ordered. Thanks, LVD!
Personally loving the historic brawl. It's so fun watching strategies unfold without the rng of having to draw your build around
You know why I like watching you LVD? Because you always organize your hand perfectly. Mana on the left and spells on the right in increasing mana value. Goodness, the satisfaction!
Oh thank you!
Wish the cards that site, "Kraken, Octopus, Leviathan & Serpent," would include Crab. Stop the anti-crab agenda!
Sharks, Whales, Squids, Fish, Starfish and Jellyfish: *sad noises*
@@Gnilson5 Right? If "historic" can mean "Artifacts, Legendaries, and Sagas", surely "aquatic creatures" can mean all of those things :P
@@Gnilson5 It would be interesting if WOTC would make new subtypes that differentiated what type of "animal" something was. Like aquatic, avian, terrestrial, and so on. It could help categorize these types of things
Man I was trying to build a deck around kiora a couple days ago and just gave up, glad LVD is here to do the legwork for me
She's a relatively strong planeswalker, it's not that hard. The fact that she can + and just neutralise a creature is no joke. Only lacking an ult I'd say.
@@Darkeep12 yeah really it was a wildcard problem like always when it comes to historic brawl for me
I made the vamp deck with Edgar and had a blast. I love this sea monster deck, I wanna try and put in her as a god from theros and see if that works
@@randallholloway8686 if you’re hungry for other brawl content the Amazonian does some great stuff
Ppreciate it! I'm all magic'd out now lol but I'll check it out after I'm done binging the Witcher tonight 🤓
Historic Brawl us super fun to watch. I love seeing underutilized cards without feeling like I'm missing out on something.
Thank you for continuing to bring content on a daily now, I really appreciate it and I love the decks lists! This one is fun!
Your neverending historic brawl content makes me so happy :,)
Love the historic brawl content. It's my favourite format on arena.
More to come!
I appreciate the consistent quality entertainment. Always nice to wind down the day with one of your videos. Thanks.

Also have to say I enjoy both popular and unpopular brawl lists. The format is so diverse and fun!
Thematic and fun, and the matchmaker behaved itself aswell. Good content! ; )
Thank you for the wonderful content. Whenever I saw the title as historic Brawl, I become happier.
Happy to hear that!
Excellent game man. Enjoying the Historic Brawl vids. Keep it up
It's nice to see so much brawl content. I really like this format! :-)
Your icon is a lie.
I love Kiora, she's my favourite PW. Thank you!

I always love seeing a new vid m8! Its basically my background noice for the evening. But seeing Kiora with those hips... Damn
22:43 Serpent was a 6/9… Nice
Would love to see this deck fighting agains Pirates. Awesome content as always
Kiora, THIGHS’ fury 😳
Eres el puto amo, espero tu video todos los días, grande!!
A 100-card singleton Sea Monster build from LVD? I can die happy now.
Awesome deck!
I haven't played Arena in well over a year because of the 5th rare scam.....but I still enjoy watching every LVD upload!
t h i c c... Kiora the thicc fury
Love this deck!
Really dig these brawl videos. I still thought brawl was just Golos and T1 commanders.
Blue decks that aren't hyper counterspell focused are some of my favorites.

Good point, should probably add it to the shortlist.
Man, match 3 was rough. Torbran did more damage to its controller than anything else

Yeah, I know, that is WHY he is legendary. He should have deserved to find the right answer. Good Game anyway, yes. :)
Marit lage's slumber also souldve worked due to the fact the token it creates is black so it could've blocked
There's a couple kraken horrors behind the liquor store down the road
we are stepping ever closer to crab tribal...
That ceratops was brutal
At 15:59 you could have used Kiora to protect herself, by preventing all damage dealt by the Packmate.
At 34:16, using Jacob twice would have prevented damage to it as well, which is most likely sufficient against Gruul.
Certainly a valid line!
Stomp would be the main concern, but otherwise it's probably better.
@@LegenVD Stomp is a very valid concern, indeed.
That Ceratops is the closest thing to hosing mono-blue in standard ever since cards like Choke stopped being reprinted in the format.
I like to run Ugin 6 in my brawl decks... gives at least 1 piece of decent removal outside the color pies.
When you get utterly hard countered like that in a hundred card singleton format, all you can do is laugh
Happy Birthday Kiora Video 😋
Do you think that this deck is worth upgrading with cards from newer sets, or it's already good enough ?
Always a good idea to update your Brawl decks, there's usually one or two new additions with each set release. If you follow the logic in the intro, you'll be able to spot which cards fit in the gameplan.
22:42 Nice 😎🤣
some of these new cards are pretty decent!
Grats, you broke your own record by saying "potentially" 10 times already after 4 minutes and 43 seconds!!
I would like to point out that Kiora's second loyalty ability also prevents damage that would be *dealt* be what it targets. So for example, in game 2, you could've played Kiora on turn 3 and used its second ability on their Sarulf's Packmate so it wouldn't be able to deal damage to Kiora
Yup, still debatable what's better in the spot but certainly an important ability to keep in mind!
i know a certain russian youtuber that would love this deck, and specially its commander...
Can you build a reanimation deck only black or black blue?
Love your videos always fun to watch!
22:40 nice
@16:10 - Kiora could have plussed on the packmate to prevent it from dealing damage - if possible could you explain why you didn't go through with that line?
Would've been a fine play, but more mana early opens up more options on the following turn.
Protection against a color is so nuts against a mono-colored deck.
The deck is fishy. I like it.

Will you be going back to standard any time soon?
Can't believe no one commented: "Release the kraken!" ...?😉
Brawl=comment and like
Thanks!
Ah yes. Kiora, the thicc Fury.
my sympathies and apologies to LVD, but casting Shifting Ceratops against mono-blue decks is one of the most orgasmic feelings in MtG lol
Are you thinking up these decks on your own? They're genius!
Thought this was a "Magic the gathering original decks" video
Silly question: is there a way to play this format when there's no event?
Of course! Just click play and then select the commander logo on the right, at which point you can choose between Historic and Standard Brawl.
Shitfing Ceratops was like "Let's make a good card against blue, actually you know what? Let's make a zero efforts 100% auto-win card against mono blue, yeah that'll be fun."
Had to be at least 1 I guess.
it is! lmao
I would say this deck has legs, but seems like it has mostly tentacles.
love the deck
need some version for ranked historic = looks like a lot of fun to play
I think you mean the thighs fury

This deck should have faceless haven tho
No spawning kraken?
That one isn't on Arena.
Why man-o-war insted of Barrin?
It's a sea creature, so more style points.
Engaging comment!
Giving creatures protection from a full color for free is a design mistake.
I've always hated shifting ceratops. How is it fair to have a card that basically says "this one card will win the game against any blue deck and no other card combination / skill is required"

Second game highlights why protection from colors is such a stupid keyword
Back when hosers were common they would've said "second game highlights why playing monocolor decks is a risky idea"
