    This is stunning and amazing. I am not an origamist and had no idea that this kind of work is possible. I think about the genios behind Katsuta Kyohei thought to be able to visualize this model and create a sequence to get there. He is like the mathematician who solves the most amazing problems or the alpinist who climbs the first route. Thank you so much.

    When you say it's folded from "four tissue paper," do you mean four layers of tissue paper glued together to make a thicker sheet, or four sheets glued together to make a larger one?

    • @MarianoZavalaOrigami
      @MarianoZavalaOrigami  7 років тому

      Yes, four layers of tissue paper glued together to make a thicker sheet. It is a four tissue paper treated with methylcellulose. In a plastic foil I put methylcellulose, then put the first layer of tissue paper on top, then put another layer of methylcellulose on top, then put the second layer of tissue paper, then put methylcellulose, then put the third layer of tissue paper, then put another layer of methylcellulose on top and finally put the fourth layer of tissue paper (MC + tissue + MC + tissue + MC + tissue + MC + tissue). • @MarianoZavalaOrigami
      @MarianoZavalaOrigami  7 років тому +1

      Benjamin Sumner You could use foil paper, too. There is no problem to fold this figure with any paper. For the larger owl I used a four tissue paper treated with school synthetic glue diluted in water. And for the smallest of the tutorial I used a double tissue paper treated with methylcellulose. Thank you so much for your generous words and support, Benjamin!! A pleasure to help you. Greetings

    • @MarianoZavalaOrigami
      @MarianoZavalaOrigami  7 років тому

    (Preface: This comment is not directed at nor towards the instructor. His video, presentation and instructions are great. This comment is more of a reflection in and of my own abilities and short comings, and maybe some of you out there have felt the same way at times. So please read with an open mind and humor filled heart. Thank You.)
    After watching this video for like the thirteenth million time... (an exaggeration), ... and starting on my fifth case of coffee... (also, an exaggeration), ... going through enough paper to stock an entire school system for a year... (just a slight exaggeration), ... I have come to the conclusion that if I live to be one hundred and two years old, pulled enough hair from my head to make wigs and weaves for every woman on the planet, rub enough creases in paper to wear my fingers down to nubs,... I'd still go slowly insane trying to comprehend, understand, AND complete this model.
